Incredible drinks, great seating, and awesome live music. But, when my male friend requested to close my tab, the bartenders clearly were not fond of this, to which they chose to explain him to me as being«a dick.» I’m sorry– how completely unprofessional. I pray that this guy is not the manager, let alone the owner. He must have said«he was a dick» at least four times… blown away! This was my first time there for my best friends birthday, and I will reconsider going back there on a Friday night given these unethical and ridiculous words spit by a staff member of the bar. I should have left a mere 10% tip, but I respect the service I received from the bartender who made my drinks.

Went here during the middle of the week. Just met the manager. Selection is okay for beers. No food other than cheese related items. Not suitable for meals.

Great martinis until we went when the bar was filled and a worker closed the door on us since no seats were available. Thought it was incredibly rude.

Let’s start by the fact that their menu have two pages of food and SEVEN pages of magnificent alcoholic beverages, plus specials. Then you have staff… They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They can make good recommendations on pairing the drinks with one of their delicious grilled cheeses. They are also courteous and attentive. And the decorations and ambiance brings everything together for you to have a memorable time with your friends.

I asked the bartender for a Perk and Cork martini, dry-no vermouth. According to Google: If you order a dry martini it means that you’d like less vermouth in your cocktail. A very dry martini would contain little to no vermouth; one might just roll the vermouth in the glass so that a thin film coats it – nothing more. I was laughed at and corrected by the«bartender» that it means MORE vermouth, she said like I was a silly girl as compared to the middleaged woman who has ordered them all over the world with the same results. Hopefully it made her feel better by belittling me. She than proceeded to screw up our grilled cheese sandwiches, again, off the menu. She took one of them off our bill. We won’t be back.

This place is fantastic. I almost wish I lived closer to Westerly so I could go here all the time. Ambiance of this place is very laid back with comfy couches everywhere. Bar tender was super friendly and made amazing martinis. I got the chai cocktail which is apparently their ‘signature’ cocktail which tastes just as you might think, like chai. I got to try the reeses peanut butter cup one too which was also excellent. Although, these both seemed to lack in the alcohol department. While perusing the menu we saw a martini called cello, and it explicitly states that they can only serve one. Of course, we had to get one each. They were fantastic but after we had it they wouldn’t serve us anything else ATALL. So, lesson learned, order that cocktail last and try a few of the other ones. I don’t think it was alcoholic enough to warrant limiting it to the one but, aww well. They had a guy playing guitar which was surprising for a Sunday evening in Westerly. A little too loud for my liking but we sat far away and it was ok.

Perks & Corks is fantastic. Not only do they serve magnificent chai lattes, but they serve them with booze. What could possibly be better? Add live music, a gourmet grilled cheese menu, and you’ve got… magic. The service is great, even when the bar is packed and the music is loud. It’s hard to find a seat on the weekend nights, but it’s worth going early to ensure your spot. The Reese’s martini(peanut butter and chocolate) is filling and I usually have to split it with a friend. It’s the perfect dessert cocktail and will fill any craving. The chai martini’s are classic and I recommend getting one if it’s your first time at Perks. They always fill their martinis right to the rim, which ensures that it’s worth every penny. If you’ve already had a chai martini from Perks or chai isn’t your thing, I recommend trying one of their other signature martinis. The antifreeze looks just how it sounds, but tastes like the island’s. So far, the grilled cheese’s prove to be delicious! I’ve only tried one, but I can’t wait to try more. I’m not sure what else Perks could do to be better… They’ve got it all goin’ on. Maybe delivery? Kidding! But what a concept that’d be…

Great atmosphere… Wicked expensive if you want to get your drink on, or buying rounds. Almost always a good mixed crowd. Live music most nights. Great date place! Parking downtown can be tough sometimes. Good stop when bar crawling downtown.

I love this place. Delicious coffee, specialty drinks, amazing employees and service, beautiful atmosphere. I only wish they were open Sundays! Please! Sundays are the best lounging coffee days. Also amazing live music

This place is awesome. There’s almost always live local musicians. The cocktails are loaded and the staff is extremely friendly. I had the paninis for the first time today. They were stuffed full and delicious. I live out of state and make it a point to visit whenever I’m back in town.

This is one of my favorite places to take people when going out in Westerly. Drinks and live music, what more can a girl ask for? Although there are many seating options, whether a couch, a high table or a seat at the bar it can be difficult to find a spot if you don’t arrive early on weekends.(My friends and I have actually been turned away on occasion since they had reached capacity.) They offer an extensive martini menu including chai, fruity and dessert variations. I personally have tried all of the chai martini options as well as the grasshopper and the white chocolate cappuccino — all delicious. While I frequent specifically for the martinis they do offer an extensive beer list as well. On one occasion I ordered a grilled cheese and it was delicious.(I will definitely order them again in the future, but lately I have been eating dinner before going out for drinks.)

Fantastic bar. The owner and staff are awesome. The martinis are unreal and the gourmet grilled cheese is out of this world!

Really cool décor, great ambience, unfortunately terrible coffee. It’s Dave’s Coffee, so the fault has to be in the brewing. Both cappuccino and latte were so weak as to be barely coffee-flavored. Service was less than enthusiastic. There were only a few people in there at 10:00 on a Saturday morning. May be a great bar(I don’t know), but as a café, not so much.

Iced chai martini, I could end the review there and I would have said enough. This little coffee shop by day, coffee inspired bar by night is a really great location to catch up with friends and unwind in a relaxed, dark but warm enviroment. The cocktails were all delicious, well made and generious in size. The food portions were also generious and well made for what one would normally expect for bar food. On most weekends you shoould be abe to catch a local band or some form of live entertainment. The coffee bar has a lot of hide aways and comfortable seating, it is almost as if you are drinking in fancier version of your own home. I can’t wait to go back when I am in the area.

Love. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable, the service was spot-on and the live music is fantastic. They have a martini menu that is easily 4 – 5 pages and the martinis themselves are like the size of my head. I definitely recommend the Chai martini; it’s delish!

This place is the best. The fact that its been in business for this long(something VERY rare for downtown Westerly, it seems), is saying a lot. First and foremost– the martinis. The menu has got to have at least 4 pages in the menu dedicated to martinis. Ive tried about 5 or 6 of them, and every single was was delicious. They are all massive, and strong. It leaves you with a good feeling(pun intended!) when you pay $ 10 for a martini and really get what you paid for. Food — Holy smokes, you get a lot! This place does not hold back. I had ordered a Hendrix grilled cheese(pesto, turkey, Gouda), and not only was it just as good as their martinis, but its huge! I ate half, and was genuinely full. Atmosphere — an artsy space, filled with photos and homages to music icons. The last time I went, it seemed as if they acquired the space next door to them and expanded their bar into a new, connected lounge. The interior reminds me of a hookah bar(lots of comfy couches and seats). The clientele runs the gamut here, a lot of younger folks on weekend nights, but everyone is welcome here. Service — very friendly bartenders. Seems there is only ever one or two bartenders on at a time(and they also cook the food), so service can be a little slow when its busy, but well worth the wait. I think my only complaint would be about the live music, though I was only here once when there was live music. It was just loud. Probably wouldn’t be a problem with the expanded lounge. All in all, this is the best place for a martini in Westerly. perhaps the best place in Westerly, period.

Came here to see a friend play an acoustic show featuring violin and guitar — this establishment is BEAUTIFUL — exposed brick behind the bar, dark crimson paint on the walls, and furniture that is as eclectic as furniture gets. Drinks: I ordered an expresso martini to start, followed by a chocolate monkey. My friend had the traditional chai martini, which came complete topped with whipped cream. The beer menu looked good too, and cheap! I dont think I saw anything over $ 5 for a beer! Food: We ordered and split a «Vaughn» grilled cheese — turkey bacon avocado and red peppers — YUM! Home made chips on the side were crunchy and good to munch on to balance out the strong martini’s Overall: This place has such a cool vibe, HUGE martini’s(for around $ 10 bucks a pop– but be warned, they are STRONG!), fun atmosphere and friendly bar staff. The only downside is its an hour away from where I am– otherwise I would be here ALLTHETIME! Definitely check it out if you get the chance!

On a winter Sunday afternoon(it was quiet), we descended on downtown Westerly. We had fancy coffee, Nutty Irishman and Italian coffee, delicious! When we left the bartender gave us a tip — «…do the crawl, start at the Irish place, then…» we loved it and will definitetly put it on the schedule. We both loved the cozy eclectic décor.

The atmosphere is much more chill than«normal» bars. There is usually live music on the weekends and a great place to relax on the cozy couches(if you can manage to snag one on a busy night). They have some fantastic martinis, my favorite being the Carrot Cake. The bartenders are nice, but on a busy night can get backed up. Overall it’s one of my favorite places to frequent in Westerly.

I am originally from the Westerly area and came home for a week this summer to sorta be a tourist in my home town. I also brought a group of 4 other people with me. I love showing off the unique places in Westerly and had heard good things about Perks and Corks so we decided to check it out. When we walked in, it was steady not too busy. I was VERY excited about trying the Chai Martini which my friends had raved about. We went to the bar and waited about 15 mins with no service. Not even a «hi ill be with you in a few mins». The bartenders literally ignored us. Then other people walked in, and they were immediately served. That is a sure way to make sure new business leaves your establishment and never comes back. I was so disappointed, and sadly cannot recommend this place to anyone. In fact I’m so annoyed, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Its clear they only care about serving people that are regulars. So if you ever find yourself in South Country and are not a local, I would skip this place. The Malted Barley is another bar a few shops down and is much more attentive to its patrons.
