Continental Tailoring

In November, I went to get my newly purchased tuxedo jacket altered. After I picked it up, I noticed that it had not been adequately tailored so I took it back. I went a week later to pick it up to find that the work had not been done. The tailor told me that there were multiple holes in the jacket and wanted to know what to do with them. I told him there were no holes when I bought the jacket and that he needed to repair them. After denying he caused them, he agreed to fix them. I went back two weeks later to pick it up and he first told me it couldn’t be fixed, but then said he would honor his word and fix them. A few weeks after that I stopped by again and learned that he still hadn’t fixed it. I asked for my money back, which he gave. He then requested one final chance to take the garment into the city where a specialist could work on the jacket. He said it was a matter of honor for him and he would have it fixed in two weeks. I agreed. Given his past history, I waited four weeks total before coming back. Of course, he told me it wasn’t ready. I informed him that I would be moving out of Westfield to get married by the end of the month and needed it ASAP. He agreed to provide it within a week. On the day we agreed to pick it up, I called and learned that he did not do the work. He also refused to give me an estimate on when it would be finished and said he had a lot of work to do. This has absolutely been the worst customer experience I have received in any category.

I’ve had 4 shirts altered and all of them came out amazing. The craftsmanship is professional, delivery date as promised. These are my go to guys now.

Dropped of a dress on a Monday night and emphasized the importance of it being hemmed by thursday 10am as a I was leaving for vacation that day. I arrived at 10:30am thursday and the same man I dealt with looked utterly confused and asked why I was there. He then started panicking and looking for my black dress. Only to find they didnt even start working on the dress. The ticket clearly said the date and time I needed them by but yet it was on a hanger… Didnt offer me anything and I walked out. Horrible experience I will never return.

I recently had three pairs of pants hemmed here, two pairs of dress pants and one pair of jeans. All three came out perfect! They were ready when promised and I felt very reasonably priced. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. I will definitely be using this place again!

I came here with an average-​fitting tuxedo and anxiety over my upcoming nuptials. I left with an excellently tailored tuxedo.

Accompanied my girlfriend here to get some of her skirts and blazers adjusted — they did a flawless job and got everything done in three or four days. Definitely recommended.
