I really like the food here it doesn’t load the plate up with bunch of meat like most rice dishes places but the flavor is awesome very similar to Vietnam. I prefer this over all the other places. It’s not about quantity but quality.

If their prices were within reason, say $ 8 to $ 10 for a combo dish I would’ve given better ratings. Instead, they charged $ 11.50 per dish for essentially the same type of meal their competitors are charging for much less. The pork chop was NOT the best I’ve tasted; it’s too chewy and overly glazed with sweetener. Their soup has no meat in it and tasted like plain water. To top it all off was the poor service. It took almost ten minutes to flag a server to take our order and another almost twenty minutes to bring our food out. Believe me they are not understaffed which I can sympathize. This place is just inefficient, overpriced and sub-par services to warrant repeat business.

Order the com tam thit lui. And che 5 mau. The only annoying thing is you gotta beg for a 2nd napkin

Of course for a sit down smaller in size restaurant in Orange County the wait is a bit longer. The food is your typical Vietnamese(traditional) I like the fact that it’s fast, like 10 minutes fast. Regardless of how busy it was, they’re on point with bringing out hot and ready.

It’s my favorite com tam place. The portion is just perfect to fill you up. The meat is nicely grill and marinated just right. Of course it’s your usual Vietnamese type of place so don’t expect any service. If you need something, you most likely need to get up and go up front to ask for it. Another reason for the one star deduction is that I feel like they’ve been raising their prices by a little every time. But overall, the food here tastes great.

The staffs are quite friendly to start with. I had the com tam with bbq pork, fried egg, and pork skin(bì). The bbq pork is very tender and flavorful, the pork skin tastes a lot like the one in vietnam too! The fish sauce is mixed perfectly, not too salty not too sweet, just right. The shaken beef(bo luc lac) needs more sauce and spice to the super tender beef though. Will come back for more com tam!

This place sucks, I paid almost $ 15 for my combo com tam and everything wasn’t good that the chicken was too dried, the shrimps weren’t tasty, the pork BBQ was too sweet and the cucumber wasn’t fresh, totally I wasn’t happy with the food, I won’t go back here

I think Com Tam restaurants aren’t as big as they are in the San Jose area. There are even Com Tam chain restaurants there! But yeah, after trying to search for good com tam in OC, I finally found a place that I will come back often. Other com tam restaurants would serve me grilled meats that are so chewy and have no flavor. However, at Com Tam Que Huong, for less than $ 10, you can get yourself a heaping plate of com tam goodness, broth and a strawberry smoothie to wash it all down. I ordered the pork chop which was tender and well-marinated. The plate comes with shredded pork, salad and steamed egg pie. All the sides went very well with the dish and I was one happy camper. To wash the food and fish sauce down, the plate comes with a side of broth. Nice warm ending to my great meal! Also, the strawberry smoothie is icy cool too! Loved it all!

I’ve only been here 2x, the first time was because we came late(~9pm) and all of our other favorite com tam restaurants were closed! Second time simply because we think it’s good here, and so their food brought us back. Pros: *Open later than a lot of other com tam restaurants in the area *Their portions are very reasonable for their price!(If you haven’t noticed. the Thanh Restaurant has been skimping out on their portions. So yeah, I think this place is way better in that sort of category.) *Their COMTAMTHITNUONG is so yummy. It was average(just like any other com tam restaurant) the first time I went. The second time, they made it like the kabob-over-the-fire style, and it was soooo much better. *Service has been good to me and my bf here! Cons: *Not really a con, but their tau hu ky wasn’t *as good* as other restaurants. Still good, but I didn’t want my cons list to be empty lol *I also noticed communication BT server and customer may get iffy. I speak Vietnamese so it’s all good, but I witnessed a Hispanic man storming off in a rage because the waiters couldn’t get his right order down.

This is my first visit here– trying to explore new com tam in Little Saigon. We were nicely greeted my the hostess and the place is nice and clean. The very well air conditioned on this warm day. I ordered the com tam suong nuong. The dish has a side order of soup. The suong nuong was tasty, but the soup was very salty. The side cucumber slices seem aged. Sorry to say that I won’t be back. BTW. The water and the service was good.

Gave this place a second try after a disappointing visit the first time. My mom recommended getting the Com Tam Thit Lui($ 7.75), after a coworker recommended it and trying it out for herself. It’s one of their specials and I’m so glad I tried it. The meat was very flavorful, I didn’t even need to use the fish sauce. I also added dau hu ky for an extra 50¢(cheap!) and the tofu skin was really crispy. Will definitely come back. Oh, and their menu is pretty hard to read. The Vietnamese font is illegible, I have to read the English to know what I’m getting.

My parents were craving Com Tam(broken rice dish), so we stopped by this place. They also serve Phở and noodles with/without broth. My parents got their #2 Com tam thit lui dau hu ky $ 8.75 and I got their #68 Bun thit nuong chao tom cha gio $ 8.95. Service is slow and they mixed up our order with another tables. I got my order first and my parents had to wait another 15 – 20 minutes before the waitress recognized the mistake. My parents were about to call them out because all the other tables were filled with customers after us and got served first. Allergy alert: If you are allergic to peanuts, be sure to tell them! My order was too big for me, but I was able to finish it. Everything was fresh and the BBQ meat was flavorful and delicious. I would skip the chao tom and cha gio as they were just O.K. and flavorless. I’d definitely come back and hope their service improves. Parking: They share the lot with many other businesses, so be aware that parking can be hard to find during rush eating hours.

I like this place for com tam a lot more than com tam thuan kieu. Meats are pretty tasty with nice flavor! We got 2 young coconuts for drink and they were refreshingly delicious. They also have phở and egg noodle along with com tam. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes.

Busy. Food is good and service is not bad for these type of restuarants. Com tam can’t go wrong for lunch and breakfast.

Service sucks. Food sucks. I’m very disappointed in the lemonade. They put in too much ice: 1. It was so diluted that I couldn’t taste the lemon juice. 2. They poured only a quarter of lemon juice and then ice all the way. …《 — that’s cheating. Supposed to fill up at least half way then ice. How do I know. …cuz I bought it to go without the ice to see how much lemon juice they pour in. The cup size is quite small. The people that work there poured in just the right amount. It’s only when the owner is present. … She made sure it’s only a quarter. The owner is there most of the time though.
