This is my favorite place, they have good bun bo hue, bun mam, canh bun and com chien, com ga. Great, friendly service with decent price. However they closed down last week. Change of Ownership. The place gonna sell beer and wine from now. At first i hope they were doing some remodel or moving, but now the truth is no more business. Very sad !

Heads up! This place had bomb bun bo hue but it apparently closed down! No idea if it moved or not.

Took my family here on early Saturday morning. It was almost empty. It is a restaurant, not a Food-To-Go place as the name depicted. I was disappointed to see too many items(non-Hue) on the menu. This place is not specialized in Hue’s food. I tried Bun Bo Hue and also Banh Beo. Taste was okay. I didn’t like the shredded shrimp on Banh Beo, it was too strong of raw seafood taste.

It’s lighter the most places make their bun bo hue. .75 cents difference between a small bowl vs large which is hilarious. Portion isn’t huge but just enough(don’t get the small).

Last night I had a huge craving for bun bo hue of all things and immediately Unilocaled the best place to go that would be open late and accepted credit cards – hallelujah for the old family standby of Gia Hoi Food To Go was the first thing that showed up! Simply put, go here for the bun bo hue and do yourself a favor and order the banh beo – it’s impossible to order just one serving(one tray comes with 8 small plates). Banh beo, for the uninitiated, can best be described as mini Vietnamese pancakes. Super easy to eat and serves as a good appetizer before you dive into the noodles. Just add a teaspoonful of fish sauce to the banh beo, cut, scoop and eat. The broth for the bun was flavorful, but I wish it was a tad spicier; however, that’s not a deal breaker since it’s easy to add a bit of spice as needed. Completed my meal with a drink of young coconut water – superb and a nice, refreshing send off into the night. Service was good! Friendly and accommodating.

The food here is very tasty. More of a family style restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

This is one of my mom’s favorite place in Little Saigon. We would come down every so often to grab a couple of dishes to-go. PARKING: a little more space than other places in this area, I never had a problem looking for parking. SERVICE: ooookay, typical asian service, tables and the restaurant is a little dirty. But hey, we’re here for the food. We usually just pick up and eat at my grandparent’s place instead of eating there. FOOD: prety good… for someone who was born and lived in vietnam for year, I would give this place a thumbs up. –BUNMAM(stinky soup) 5⁄5 my favorite thing to get here! So stinky, so much flavors, me likey! –BUNCHAHANOI(ha noi noodle) 5⁄5: pretty good! just a LOT of charbroiled meat on top of noodles and veggies. Just a very healthy meal, my mom’s fave. — BUNBOHUE(4⁄5) it was pretty good, but I wish the broth is richer and spicier. This will continue to come here to pick up her favorite bum mam and bun cha! The price is decent and the size is fair so I don’t see why I would be going some where else for these dishes :)

This is my family’s go to for BBH(bun bo hue). It is a small restaurant tucked in a corner in one of the many plazas on Bolsa. It can be a bit hard to find so keep your eyes out. Parking in this plaza has gotten easier since the businesses here are developing to more office stuff than restaurants and whatnot. The BBH offers a grand platter of veggies and the bowl has all the types of meat that should be in BBH(pork feet, pork blood, fish meatball, etc). I thoroughly enjoy the BBH here and that’s all I have ever gotten.

Craving Bun Bo Hue and stumble across a Unilocal review for this restaurant. I was kinda hesitate since it had indicated«food to go», surprisingly the Bun Bo Hue was very good. The bowl is pretty large, lots of veggies and the price is lower than Ngu Binh, Vy Da, Bun Bo Hue So 1… etc. We also had Bun Mam, Banh Beo Chien and Banh Bot Loc. all was cheap and delicious. Definitely will go back!

Why does it name«food togo» when it’s dine-in restaurant? Food is just mehhh. My banh canh wasn’t that good. Portion was big though. They give you shrimp balls instead of real shrimp which i don’t like. The crab was all crusted. So basically you don’t see any meat in the bowl. Service. Classic Vietnamese customer service. You know what i mean. Price is ok but unreasonable compared to the food quality.

I was introduced to this place by a friend and I like it. I usually get the Banh Beo Chen and the Bun Bo Hue. They do take credit cards and debit cards so that’s a plus. The Banh Beo is always fresh and has the right amount of thickness served with freshly minced shrimp. The Bun Bo doesn’t come out spicy but you can add more if you want. The broth is nice and flavorful and they give you a good amount of beef and a nice size plate of veggies.

Nothing we tried opened at 9:30am or earlier, so we came here. Pleasantly surprised that the Bun Bo Hue was good. The meat quality is up there, compared to surrounding areas. It’s thicker, but not as thick as Cong Ly. Broth is decent but still not Cong Ly. It’s a pretty good second place. I added garlic which made it taste even better. Only gripe is the creepy restroom where the light barely turns on. Yes, funny because I just watched a scary movie last night.

I typically don’t go out of my way to write reviews but this place is just so exceptional that I decided the break the rules. I came with my friends on a busy Thursday night and were immediately seated. Even though they don’t speak much English the server was extremely attentive. The food is amazing. This place has by far the best bun boi hue I’ve ever had in my life. My girlfriend says that this place had some of the most authentic viet food in the area. The banh beo is also top notch! 10⁄10 would come again!!! Ps. My friend got the bun and that thing was huge!

So the bf and I was really craving for bun bo on a particular night and it was somewhat late. Many places were closed and I found this place on Unilocal. After reading several reviews about how good the bun bo hue is here, I gave it a try. Called in for a take out order and sent the bf on his way… When he got home the bun bo broth was completely cold. They hadn’t bother to heat it up or anything. Secondly, there was a thick thick layer of the orangey spicy oil coloring that they usually put in bun bo. So thick that you can’t even see the broth but only the coloring. I had to spoon out as much as I could because it was staining everything from my spoon to my lips. Also, because I don’t want to be eating all of that oil. Onto the actual broth and flavor. I’ll agree with most Unilocalers here that the flavors were quite good but not the best in town like some have stated. I liked the generous amount of veggies that they give to go along with it. All in all, I’m not against it but next time I’ll probably opt for dine in instead of take out so I don’t get completely cold broth.

Service is alright due to the fact that they don’t speak much English but they are very friendly. The jars they use to keep the condiments and sauces are also dirty. I’ve been here plenty of times and it is my to go spot for Bun Bo Hue. The broth is clear and flavorful. The meats are alright but the broth makes up for it. The noodles here are always perfect and not as choppy and short compared to Ngu Binh. They give you an assortment of fresh veggies(bean sprouts, mint leaves, and banana sprouts!) I recommend adding a wedge of lime as well an extra helping of chili flakes to your broth if you like it spicy :)

So several months ago, I would have given this place 4 stars, but their bun bo hue was over the top today. I usually don’t do the whole shebang. I’ll order mine without the pigs feet and blood cubes(huyet). I just like the broth, beef, noodles and vegetables. I didn’t have to add any extra sauce(mam ruoi or chili sauce) to enhance the flavor of the broth, which is rare for me, and they give you plenty of vegetables. To make the sauce for my meat. I added garlic, jalapenos, a little bit of sugar and lime to the chili sauce. There should be a jar of garlic and jalapenos on the table, and if not, remember to ask for some. It’ll add an extra wow factor to your bun bo hue. I think this dish is one of the harder dishes to make(definitely harder than phở), so I’m way excited to have found a good spot. There’s no AC, so just find a spot near the giant fan. Like right in front of it.

By Far the BEST spot to eat Bun Bo Hué. I’ve been to several places in this area and more and haven’t found a place as good as this! Came here about a year ago and got hooked and been coming back ever since. Great service great prices for the quality of food. Parking can occasionally be a bit crazy but for some reason when I happen to be here its always easy to find a spot. Just tell them how spice you want it, I usually go for mild so I suggest this if it’s your first time. Hope this helps.

I liked their bun bo hue here. they had a lot of diff kinda of meat. usually I go to the Saigon place on magnolia and westminster. and the meat they give is a lot more here than the Saigon place.
