worst experience, rude drive thru manager and gets orders wrong 2 out of 3 times. If there was a negative rating it would be –3!

The guy work by the window today at 1:45 pm February 29^th ruined my order.
Everything I didn’t ask for he gave and what I did ask for he didn’t give me, plus, every time I said something, there was a long pause and then he would make me repeat it.
If this was just once I would have been okay. But this has happened at least 12 times.
Your better off buying a chicken and making your own damn meal than getting what you orders here.

I didn’t go in but from past experience at this location I figured the drive through was safe. I miss eating pollo loco, but after 10+ years of bad experiences with the Huntington Beach locations I gave up on them. $ 10 coupons are not a solution…
Anyway this location did not disappoint. The order was correct, the chicken was cooked correctly and the utensils were in there.
After a few hours I feel fine! So unlike HB, someone is washing their hands!
So win, win, win. If that doesn’t deserve 5 stars, nothing does. I think I’ll make the trip through the slow Westminster traffic more often if it means getting some good chicken!

good, a healthy choice instead of greasy fried chicken. Kind of expensive but I don’t mind paying. Salsa bar is fresh and good especially the guacamole.

An el pollo loco is an el pollo loco wherever you go. This is one of two fast food restaurants I’ll ever allow myself to go to. I don’t feel like crap after eating here and I think you get a pretty healthy meal for a decent price. Their open flame grilled chicken is so flavorful, and offers one of a kind taste than any other grilled chicken competitor. They do it right over here.
I tend to usually get some sort of family combo meal with mixed chicken pieces (wings, thighs, legs, breasts) and stick to the classic sides of rice and pinto beans, though most recently I tried their black beans and I find them more flavorful than the pinto, perhaps because it was something new. Occasionally I’ll also get a coleslaw which still has crunch to it and is not overly drenched in mayonnaise.
Gotta love their salsa bar too, fresh onions, cilantro, 4 different kinds of salsa. There’s something to please everybody.

I do not know if it is just me but I receive horrible service every single time I go to this El Pollo Loco. They mess up my order, their is a short and curly hair in my food, or they are just generally rude. You may be asking yourself «Well why do you go to the same El Pollo Loco then dumba**?» And I will answer that by saying they have great food. As a fast food chain in my eyes this restaurant is far and above the best. But for whatever reason this location just cannot get it together. Which is extremely disappointing to me as it is the closest one to where I live. But it looks like this chubby boy is going to have to travel that extra 2.1 miles to the next closest location to fulfill my desire for a Taco Salad with 7 Chili Verde salsas (yes, 7! This location seems to think a mexican family of 6 can survive with 2 chili Verde salsas… and oh yes they will give you the stink eye if you ask for more.)

Usually pretty efficient with good food, but forgot my side order and was drive through. I expect getting what I paid for which was not the case.

I only went through the drive-​through, but the place looks clean. Ordering was fast and efficient. The person staffing the window was easy to understand and spoke fluent English.
I had a coupon for the 16 piece family meal — which is 16 pieces of chicken, 3 large sides (I always get the mac n cheeses) and flour tortillas… for $ 25.
The problem with many El Pollo Loco locations I have ordered from is when I get the chicken home it looks cooked but when we start to eat it the meat isn’t completely cooked… so bottom line is my rating is high because the meat here was cooked perfectly… the skin was nice and crisp… and the meat was cooked thoroughly but still very juicy and delish.
Pro Tip:
Tell them you don’t want the pico de gallo salsa and instead want the green avocado salsa… its really good!

Food was good service was crap I went threw drive threw tonight around 8:30pm on 10÷16÷15. Two girls talking drama. I asked woman and window if I were able to add 2 sides to my order she said hold on shut window so she could finish conversation with her friend. Really come on have some good customer service people suck.

Worse service ever ! If I would have the option of NOT given not even one start I would. The girl at the drive through (Karla) has the worse customer service, very rude it’s seems like she hates her job. She didn’t give us our order complete she missed the chips in our order we kindly asked her for them and still gave us tortillas instead of chips but since she was so rude about it We just decided to leave. I will never come back to this pollo loco unless I have no other option which I’m sure that’s not the case.

I’m pretty much always satisfied when I go to El Pollo Loco. My family orders the same exact thing at every location. We do the family meal with mixed pieces, and get the mac ‘n cheese and mashed potatoes as the sides. The customer service was alright, but gladly the food was prepared quickly.
Unlike some of the reviews, I had a positive experience! I’m not from the area, and my family had been on the road for at least two hours, so I’m glad our meal was good!
The chicken was so delicious. It was fresh, had crispy skin, and tender, white meat. Both of the sides were delicious, as well. Their mac ‘n cheese is surprisingly one of my favorites. Everything was great, so I have no complaints.

Service is shit so its only natural that their food gives me the shits as well. El Choro Diarrea Loco is what they should rename this place.

Typical El Pollo Loco, but they always are friendly and quick. Plus, the restaurant was just redecorated and is much cleaner than others.

Okay how do you run out of chicken? Maybe management should focus on opportunity instead of closing 30 minutes early. Worst customer experience ever!

Every time I come to this store my order is incorrect. They don’t seem to hear very well and don’t know their menu. I just spent 10 minutes at the window because they got my order incorrect, when I asked for it to be corrected I got an attitude. After much discussion, they finally gave me what I ordered but the girl at the window (Maria) gave it to me with a huge chip on her shoulder. Giving me what I ordered is your job Maria, giving it to me for free because you made a mistake is great but when you tack on an attitude, it really doesn’t matter much to me as a customer because I’m still having to deal with you. I asked her why she had a problem and she shut the window on me! You can be irritated with me because you made a mistake but I shouldn’t know you’re irritated. ‘F’ for service.

Service: ⁴⁄₅. They’re friendly. Never got any complaints or negativity from this place.
Waiting Time: ⁴⁄₅. Most of the time, they get your order very quick.
Food: ⁴⁄₅. Nothing special. They’re just decent food, nothing too fancy here and out. There was one time when I choose the Baja shrimp bowl. It was terrible and gave me a stomach ache. The shrimps were too salty. Otherwise, the other foods are good. Sometimes, they do fried the chicken too dried accordingly to my parents.
Interior/​Exterior: ⁴⁄₅. Usually clean. If there is a mess, I’d say it’s one of those noisy kids (the customor).
Overall: ⁴⁄₅. Once again, it’s nothing special. It’s a place where you can eat food with satisfaction (most of the time).

I came here to get a family meal, I went online to check out the menu and the time they closed, it said 7pm. It was 6:24 when I pulled up in the drive thur and the guys tell me there closed? Oh well KFC it is this spot sucks and this is not the first problem my family has had with this franchise.

Got there at 9:25pm with a group of friends, they told us they run out of chicken and not willing to make more even though they close at 10pm. I guess they don’t appreciate our business. Won’t be going back there again.

Normally I would have given two, maybe even three, stars, however since this El Pollo Loco is so inconsistent, I had to give it a lower rating. For years, I’ve gone through letting and having this location — I’ll absolutely hate it, then I can’t not go, then hate, etc.
Although the girl, Nicole, was very patient with my grandma, very nice, made helpful suggestions, the rest was not so good. Every time I order the Under 500 calories Tostada, they always screw it up now. Uneven temperature, wrong dressing, missing ingredients, and so on
Guess I’ll have to wait another few months before they’re good again.

Terrible service. Seriously I sat in the drive thru for 15 mins because these thirsty ass waitresses were flirting/​having a conversation about where they were from etc with an equally inconsiderate ass wipe.
First point of discussion; IT’S A GOD DAMN DRIVE THRU. It’s not a place for you to strike up a conversation and hold up the line with OTHER PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT THEIR FOOD.
Second point; HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU EVEN START A CONVO ABOUT WHERE YOURE FROM MUCH LESS SO A CONVERSATION AT A DRIVE THRU?! Do you realize how awkward of a situation it is?!
Last and third point; HOW CAN YOU BE SO INCONSIDERATE WITH THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU?! There was an obvious reason why we chose the drive thru. We don’t have the luxury of sitting and waiting all damn night for our food. We have work, need sleep and what not. It’s a damn FAST FOOD place not let’s sit and have a convo place.
