Really good eggrolls, but there was only one left when we got there. Their outside is different than any eggroll I’ve ever purchased. Extra crispy and flaky. The pâté chaud was not that good. The bun wasn’t flakey/crispy. It just felt like hard dough and the meat was just average. I would pass on their sandwiches since their bread isn’t that good. We got the lemon grass beef with a fried egg in it. It was mostly bread and barely any fillings. This would be ok if the bread was awesome, but unfortunately it wasn’t. The older lady making the sandwiches was one of the most rude people I’ve ever encountered. They need to put her away from customers since the food isn’t good enough to deal with her face. I’d be back for the eggrolls only. Pass on everything else.

Banh-Mi shops all over OC, especially around Little Saigon but I must say, Top Baguette has 2 sandwiches that are quite unique. Hitter #1 is their Dac Biet. IncludesThit Nguoi, Cha and Pâté but they also add Xiu Mai and Bi. Yes, Bi. All the regular veggies and mo hanh. Add an egg to make this mean sandwich into a beast. Hitter #2 is the Bo Nuong Xa. Different and taste good! Lemongrass gives it that extra punch but not overwhelming. Same deal, add an egg to dress it up even more. Hitter #3 is definitely their Cha Gio Ga Banh Re. Not many places sells these. Banh Re which is a different type of wrapper. Lighter and crispier. More delicate than the traditional wrappers. Ground chicken rather than pork. Great appetizer item. Quite tasty. You cnn load up on these for .50 cents each. Final thought… I come here for those 3 items I’ve mentioned. Different’ maybe that’s why it’s special but no doubt it’s tasty. Give it a try. Delicious stuff!

Love their egg rolls, every time I bring it to a pot luck at work I always get a few people asking me for their number. Their banh mi is way better than other places too

Best egg rolls I’ve ever had. My family gets them catered from here all the time. These eggrolls are not your typical egg rolls(for starters, it’s made with chicken) and they have some sort of vermicelli wrapping outside of them that are fried to a crisp that gives a really great texture. Their rotisserie chicken sandwich with egg is also one of the best I’ve had in the area.

Banh Mi is really good! The baguette is perfect, not too soggy or hard. I got the basic cha lua which was super appetizing. I also recommend the BBQ beef with egg. Definitely try the chicken egg roll, it’s only 50 cents. The guy behind the cash register was also very friendly. Overall good food and customer service :)

My favorite place for banh mi. I usually get the house or lemon grass sandwich with an extra egg. Both are delicious. You can’t go here without getting their egg rolls. The service here is great. They’re always really friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys banh mi :)

boyfriend and i headed over on a sunday in between appointments and was in and out in 30 minutes. we also left with an additional 2 sandwiches to eat later. because it was that good. read a lot about the egg roll so of course had to try. twas delicious. flaky and soft and just melts in your mouth. it sits in one of those hot fridge things(?) so it may be visually unpleasing, but don’t let the looks fool you. it’s delicious! we ordered 2 steak with fried eggs, one bbq pork and one pork pâté. pork pâté was my least favorite, but the other 2 were yummy! and super cheap. 4 sandwiches 2 eggroll, 2 drinks and it was $ 15 bucks. owner was really sweet, and workers were attentive as well. SUPERCLEAN!!!

Ever since I tried the pâté at one of the Vietnamese sandwiches shops, I’ve been hooked on banh mis with pâté. But then someone told me that you can add an egg(s) to your sandwich… So, I definitely had to try a Banh mi from Top Baguette. The shop is cute and quaint with a lil sitting area. I noticed that they eliminated some sandwiches that were formerly on the menu … like the grilled pork which I wanted. However, the friendly server took my order: (1) BBQ Pork Banh Mi I added a scrambled egg(+1.00) and pâté(free) to my sandwich. The bread and veges were fresh but the pork was a lil too salty for me. But that scrambled egg and pâté just took my banh mi to a whole new level. Delish! (2) Griled Chicken Banh Mi Hubby really liked his sandwich even though it had no egg or pâté. I had a taste and I probably will order the chicken next time… but with the egg and pâté! (3) Chicken Eggrolls I bought 10 eggrolls(2 for &1.00). The wrapping of the eggroll looks like a birds nest … light and flaky. They were quite different but also yummy. I enjoyed my banh mi especially with the egg and pâté. Top Baguette serves delish sandwiches with friendly service. I’m a fan … 4 Stars!

My friends offered to pick up some Vietnamese sandwiches for me just before their return trip from California. With the lack of good options where we live, I couldn’t say no. A bit of a rant: I’m disappointed with the terminology that has come into common use. «Banh mi» literally translates to «bread.» I’m pretty sure the proper term for these sandwiches should be «banh mi thit»(«bread» and«meat») or else there isn’t any distinction from a baguette. Anyway, I’ve had many good banh mi thit in the San Jose area and tried a few shops around Westminster, and I’d take most of what I’ve eaten from these cities any day over the lackluster Las Vegas options. The sandwiches at Top Baguette are $ 3.50, which is about par these days. Based on reviews and my friends’ recommendations, I chose two different sandwiches. The baguette used for the sandwiches is sturdy yet light. It seems almost buttery despite not having butter. The Banh Mi Bo Nuong(grilled marinated beef) tastes significantly different than the typical grilled pork, and it carried plenty of flavor despite being pretty much one meat and some diced onions. The Banh Mi Dac Biet was an interesting combination that has the usual sliced pork, plus shredded pork(not that noticeable) and shumai(moist, gives milk). I liked the pickled veggies on each, and they did a nice touch by actually wrapping each portion separately. I had high expectations, and Top Baguette delivered. It wasn’t as good as some of my favorites, but I would come back when I’m in town.

The best banh mi I’ve had! I prefer the banh mi here to the ones at big chains such as Lee’s Sandwiches, Banh Mi Che Cali, and Tip Top. Top Baguette is always clean and the service is impeccable. I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my sandwich! For egg lovers, you can add a fried egg to your sandwich for just $ 1! I highly recommend trying their pâté chaud and chicken egg rolls if you haven’t yet! These egg rolls are the BEST I’ve ever eaten! Recommendations: ** Banh Mi w/Lemongrass Beef ** Banh Mi w/Grilled Pork ** Egg Rolls!

Every time, or at least it seems like every time that we brave the drive to Bolsa I need to stop at this place for banh mi and their unique egg rolls. They have gone down hill on quality — baguette doesn’t taste fresh, borderline stale… meat tasted dry(beef and pork), and their egg sandwich was nowhere as tasty as TipTop. Their egg rolls are very unique however, but tasted mushy, and their pâté chaud had barely any fillings. To me it seems that they are cutting cost and losing sight on quality. I salute you Top Baquette, as this will be my final visit. Time to find a new spot — perhaps back to Tip Top.

Ahhhh! If you come here before you even try their banh mi I HIGHLY recommend you try their chicken egg rolls(they have them in the glass display/warmer when you walk in). I feel like all the egg rolls I’ve had my whole life up until this point have been imposters! :( Their banh mi is good, you can get it with a fried egg. I like mine without it. I like their #4 which is the grilled pork. Their bread isn’t crunchy like some places, so if you’re looking for that you might be a tad bit disappointed but I do like the filling/meat. My husband has only had banh mi once in his life(without my supervision) from a truck when food trucks first hit the scene. He got sick and has avoided it ever since. I may slowly introduce him to this place. The gentleman who is there, I believe is the owner, is nice to a fault! Very sweet man! Cheers!

I have long heard that Top Baguette has the best banh mi in Orange County. I tried their grilled pork banh mi and their chicken egg rolls. Props on the egg rolls. I loved the texture on the outside. Very good! But the grilled pork banh mi could be improved. The bread didn’t have that crustiness that a banh mi baguette should have. The grilled pork was greasy and heavy. THH remains as my personal fav in the world of banh mi.

With a name like top baguette, you better have amazing tasty bread. To my chagrin, they did not. I didn’t even want to finish my banh mi, so I didn’t. The place is nice, clean, & spacious. The man there(I’m assuming the owner) was friendly and offered some suggestions. The lemongrass beef is much better than the BBQ pork, which was way too oily(the grease seeps into the bread innards). Chicken egg roll was okay but nothing that I would bother ordering. The leaf wrapped rice triangle thing is not what I expected. I thought it would be sticky rice with meat fillings buy it turned out to be gelatinous rice starch with meat fillings. Location: on the corner of an intersection Parking: free small lot

I have been craving banh mi for breakfast after a morning of errands, so I decided to try one of my bookmarked places. Since I won $ 5.00 in a lotto scratch off, I was going to plurge my winnings all in one place. It was a bit of challenge to find this store even with GPS because it is at the converging corner of a mini mall. The store is located in the East West Bank mini shopping center on the corner of Bolsa and Magnolia. The store was not very large but they have a small dining area with several tables. It is an intimate seating arrangement to the left of the entrance, ideal for couple seating. If you are coming in a group, be prepared to huddled around a small, round table. Since it was my first time, I inquired for their most popular item since their menu is short and simple. The gentleman that assisted me suggested the chicken eggroll, $.50, and the lemongrass BBQ beef, «Bo Nuong Xa», for $ 3.50. The eggroll was pretty good. It was like a regular eggroll encase in crispy rice stick noodle casing. It was certainly different from any regular eggroll I ever tasted. I was a little skeptical about trying the beef sandwich because it can sometimes be tough to chew. I was pleasantly surprised on the recommendation. The sandwich had peanut sauce, pickled carrots, pickled daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. I also requested a fried egg to be add to the sandwich for an additional $.50. The beef was soft, easy to chew, and very flavorful. The vegetables were crisp and bread’s outter shell just crumbled with every bite. Sooo good!!! The meal made me smile from ear to ear. I am looking forward to sampling other items in menu in the future.

One of the better Vietnamese sandwich places in the area, it is located in one of those corner block kind of strip malls. There was plenty of parking out front when I went. I ended up getting the Lemongrass BBQ Beef with Egg, which ended up being around $ 4.00 and the chicken egg roll which was $.50. The Lemongrass BBQ Beef with Egg was delicious! I was skeptical what the egg would add to a Lemongrass BBQ Beef sandwich but it actually complimented it very well, kind of toning down the BBQ Beef a bit but also adding a nice richness to the sandwich. The egg roll was tasty, but it did taste like it had been sitting out for a while. Overall a good place, although a bit on the pricy side for Vietnamese sandwiches.

I ordered their«dac biet» banh mi and it was a lot different than most«dac biet» banh mi’s that I’ve had because it had«shredded pork»(BI) and«meatball» included in it too. It was okay, but I think I will come back next time to try something else. As you can see in the picture I provided, they are not cheap when making their sandwiches! Their options of selections/food wasn’t that huge, but I guess it’s «quality over quantity». Their chicken eggrolls though were delicious! [Look at the picture i posted!!] I would come back just for their eggrolls alone! It was so unique and good for just $.50 cents a piece! The eggroll section was empty and I asked the cashier if they had any more in the back and she was able to get me 5! So, if there isn’t anything you see. just ask! :)
