Andrea did a great haircut for me today and is very knowledgeable when it comes to cutting curly hair like mine. I left the salon with a cut like I’ve never had and a bounce in my step. I felt beautiful and loved my curls and the product she used… Diva. Thanks Andrea!!!

A Nor’easter brought me to Roots. Well actually, it was that my regular hair person stayed home because of the weather. I entered the salon with trepidation. I really didn’t want to try someone knew, but am I glad I did!
Melissa and her crew were upbeat, the décor was stylishly comfortable and not very «salon“ish, and my haircut and styling was top-notch. Hair cuts can be so personal – and I left feeling like Melissa was a new friend. I whole-heartedly recommend Roots Salon.
So, if you’re looking for someplace new, or even if you’re not, visit Roots. Like me, you’ll want to go back.

Rob has been cutting my hair for four years now, and when Melissa and he started a new shop last year, I came right along. He does a great job, always takes the time to see what I want (even though I always get the same haircut) and is a cool guy to talk to.
Melissa (the owner) and the other stylists there seem to be very good at what they do and offer all kinds of services. but I’m not one to comment on hair dye and blow drying and whatever else it is women do. But this is a great place. I live in NYC, but since I’m in CT a lot for meetings I make sure to stop in when I need a cut.
