I go like once a year so I often forget how overpriced and mediocre this place is. I love the sauce. The burger is just ok. Yesterday I asked for it well done but it was on the verge of burnt. There is a difference. I do like the crinkle fries though. The shakes are always good.

Burgers are delicious(it’s shake shack of course ^_^), the interior looks hip and nice, and more importantly, their manager Andrew and staff are world class! Exceptional customer service & awesome food — what more can anyone ask for?! :-)

After hearing so much about Shack Shack I decided to finally give it a try. Well my Shake cheese burger was good but small and way too expensive at 7 bucks. The bun was so soft it was almost soggy and equivalent to a wonder hamburger bun. No texture basically A flat lifeless bun. Had the coffee shake with the extra hot fudge topping for six bucks and it wasn’t real hot fudge it was chocolate syrup. Flavor of the shake was fine although a little thin. I cannot see how this place justifies the price. I really don’t get it it is not worth it and I won’t be back.

Had to see what all the hype was about shakeshack, wasnt really impressed, the burger was rather small and the fries reminded me of the ones you get in the frozen food section of your supermarket. for the money prefer 5 guys

Date of service: June 5, 2015 Meal: Lunch, dine in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 7 Food to Spend Value: 4 Quality of Service: 6 Overall Rating: 6 Much like you hear about how amazing In N Out is from Californians, I had heard lots about Shake Shake from folks in NY and CT. I had never been to one before, and was hankering for lunch when I noticed one was coming up while driving through CT. I decided to stop by and give them a try. Like many of the specialty fast food burger places, Shake Shack makes their own patties with fresh beef. They have a «proprietary Shack blend», and they cook their burgers medium. This all sounded good to me. The menu is very limited, which is also typical of this type of burger joint. I decided to order the Smoke Shack Single, which includes cheese, bacon, chopped cherry peppers and ShackSauce. I also got the Cheese Fries and a Peanut Butter Shake. The burger had a great taste, but I needed a microscope to find it. I was actually quite flabbergasted at how small the burger was. I immediately wished I had ordered a double, except for the fact that I had trouble believing nearly $ 3 for a second patty would have been that much better. The cheese fries included crinkle cut fries and their own blend of cheddar and American cheese. They were decent but not amazing. The shake, on the other hand, was amazing, having an old fashioned flavor, including frozen custard, but it was also fairly small, and over $ 5 to boot! Shake Shack has a casual, nicer fast food atmosphere, more or less what you would expect. The food came out quickly and hot and fresh. The food was tasty but not mind blowing, and the portions were tiny and quite expensive. I spent $ 17 on 3 items and left hungry. The food was good enough to give this place a 3 overall, but I don’t see myself coming back to a Shack Shack anytime soon, as the value is way too low for what you are getting.

Their niche seems to be making burgers so greasy and sloppy that you’ll forget what it means to eat a burger that isn’t terrible. They could also streamline the ordering process a bunch if they trained their moron counter staff to actually pay attention to your order while you’re ordering it. But yeah. They $ 5.99 shakes are good enough to wash down the awful food.

So delicious I don’t know where to begin… the first rave here is the«shake meister» beer. So crisp, cold and tasty! My smokeshack burger was fresh, juicy, and tasty. Fries were crisp and seasoned perfectly. Their custard and blizzard type ice cream desserts will leave you speechless. Try some heath bar pieces in any flavor… wow!

After a less then stellar experience at the New Haven SS, I felt like I should try the Westport joint while on a holiday shopping journey. Unilocalers nailed the parking lot issue, it is horrible, maybe 15 spots for a large restaurant, just doesn’t add up. The ordering window was quite awkward, and difficult to hear the person taking our order, we had to repeat ourselves a couple times. The burgers. pretty tasty, got the special, with bacon and grilled onions. Something about their size is off, $ 8 for a burger I don’t want to be looking for another bite when I’m done, maybe that’s just what is wrong with society these days? lol. Cheese sauce on the frozen crinkle cut fries… I just wish they did fresh cut, like 5 guys, cuz the cheese is delicious. Just wish In n out burger would come this way.sigh.

Im a long time fan of the original NYC shake shack so i gave Westport a try. Its decent and almost as good as the original! Its definitely nice not to have to stand in a huge line! Frozen custard is a favorite treat of mine and the burgers are juicy and flavorful!

The scam of the week: Oktoberfest hot dogs. It s ok to have one choice out of the 3 showing on the menu. It s not ok to pay $ 5 for a bare hot dog(even curry flavored) that is even difficult to digest. Wake up shake shack, you’re killing the cash cow.

A whole lot of hype. The best thing here are the shakes. Cinnamon is amazing. Burgers are a step above Burger King, fries taste like frozen kind. Worst part is — you’ll pay $ 40 bucks for 2 adults and 2 kids for fast food! I must say tho that the staff in the dining room is the friendliest around. Smile at everybody and strike up a conversation. Seen happy to work there.

Forget the greasy food. Will never understand how people flip over their burgers or their fries. Apparently I disagree with 95% of the population. Go for their most delicious custard! Can’t wait til pumpkin pie is back.

I tried this location for the second time. We ordered 3 single shack burger and two crinkle Fries. Burger was good, not superb. I like its combination of sauce. Fries are crispy but bit salty for me. This location wasn’t crowded even midst of weekend lunch hours, unlike craziness of NYC. Would like to come back someday

The ShackMeister Burger is one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. That said, I can’t give the place five stars because I think the shakes are lame. When you have the word«Shake» in your name, one would assume that they would be one of their best items, no? I’ve tried multiple shakes to date and even a concrete… None of which was really worth the money. However I will never stop going there because I love the ShackMeister Burger and the ShackMeister Dog as well. Plus, the service is always good and the place is usually pretty clean.
