Friendly’s

Very very slow service. They desperately need to hire more employees. We were seated within 5 minutes which is great but it took over 10 minutes to get two drinks. And over 30 minutes to get our food (which was just sandwiches with fries, itching fancy) also a few of the seats are broken and it could be cleaner.

Very slow!!! 15 min wait for the waitress to come over and then another 25 min for the food. All we ordered was pancakes and eggs for two people! And the place wasn’t that busy.

Worst restaurant ever! Have never had good or fast service. The waitress was rude and slow and used an attitude towards us the whole time. We went towards closing time, but still no excuse for the rude attitude. Will never return, do not recommend going.

I went to friendly’s once and you can say they can name it Meanie’s. Went I first got there with my friend the one person to seat us rolled her eyes and sat us down with very little conversation. I was sat right near the bathroom. The bathroom reeked of overdone burgers. Well anyway before I actually got seated they gave me a kids menu even though I was in college are you serious. So I ordered something off my friend’s menu. I made my own burger thinking noone can mess up a burger that people ask for. I was apparently wrong. When they came in with my friend’s food they dropped it. What makes it worse they didn’t even clean it up or say sorry. I got my food okay but none of the things I asked for were on it just random crap. I was disgusted and left. I payed for the food and it was one of the worst experiences ever.

we been here couple times here and once we left because we waited on our table more than 30 minutes for a server.
there is never no staff, waiting so long to be seated when there are many empty tables. Our Last time there I ordered and Apple Harvest with chkn salad that I had to cut because the pieces were so big and the chkn so dry looked like just chopped with hands and tossed on the plate.
This place is a waste of money

I started coming to Friendlys as a child with my grandmother. They no longer give you a whole slice of pickle, but the food is always good .
25 years later, im not disappointed and had to leave a little something extra because of the great service.

Completely remodeled! Yay! Servers are always over the top nice!
I was so happy with my Turkey Tips and Avocado Salad tonight. we did mama/​daughter night… and I raved about it to the manager… and then she said. oh we are discontinuing it. I nearly cried. Makes sense though. for a budget friendly place like this. avocados are a tricky and costly commodity. One day they are underripe and the next they are spent. such a small window of time for eating. I’m sure they lose tons of money on those babies. So anyway, she didn’t say when the salad will go the way of the dodo, so if that is a go to for you, go get it and soon!
Overall, a nice visit. Took quite a long time to get our dinners. longer than usual actually, but they were perfect once they arrived. Also, for some reason they had the air conditioner on. like ON… it was cold in there… good grief… we had goosebumps by the time we left… it’s April. no need people! :)

First time going to a Friendly’s in years, usually would have a pretty negative experience but I wanted to give another shot since they have renovated and etc. Our experience was great, nice staff and no wait, in and out in less than 30 mins. Food is and has always been pretty good in my opinion but the staff always seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. I would give 5 stars but I’m waiting for my next experience. Seems like Friendly’s is going in the right direction.

What was I thinking???
My friend and I took our babies to this Friendly’s because we needed a dining option that was fast and kid friendly. This Friendly’s was NOT FRIENDLY at all!
First off that staff just stared at us as we waited for a table. We finally had to clean and set up the high chairs ourselves! That should have been a red flag.
With two hungry children we didn’t want to walk out and drag them to another restaurant. Our server Jose took forever to get to us.
One of the staff members kept saying «I’m not on the clock but I’ll help you guys out». Honestly the place was empty. We were so blessed the children were contact with the salty gold fish they offered as we waited for Jose to come take our orders.
The experience was beyond terrible. Once the food arrives, it was GROSS looking. The mac and cheese looked old. The cheeseburger was so hard my son almost choked. The child is an experienced burger eater and has even had cow tongue so trust me he can handle tough meat!
On top of that they ran out of buns and put our burgers on toast. I’m not sure why they didn’t ask if toast was okay. I HATE soggy buns. We told our server we were not happy.
The manager arrives and says «you asked for me». She must have not read her handbook. Didn’t bother introducing herself. We verbalized our dissatisfaction. She nods and then walks away. We waited forever for our check. We finally just got up and requested a check.
I won’t be going back. It is unfortunate that there are limited food options that are children friendly. I will not be returning to this friendly!!!

Terrible service. We were seated for fifteen minutes without anyone asking for so much as a drink order. We got up and left, without anyone noticing or saying anything.

20 minutes. Not a single person waiting before us. More than half your restaurant open. And every single waitress walked by my family without saying hi, let alone seating us. I asked for the manager twice! We finally had to leave. I saw the manager on the way out and she said if I give her a minute she could help us. Seriously!!! I’m so angry right now. And then I tried to call your customer service line and its closed at 4:30pm… Are you kidding me!!! This is unacceptable

I grew up going to Friendly’s like every other kid in the area, and always loved it. Now I go about once a year to fulfill my nostalgic ice cream fix. I feel like the servers work pretty hard there. The food is okay, but the ice cream is awesome. It’s probably nothing too special for someone out of the area just trying it for the first time (people here in CA don’t even know what Friendly’s is!), but for someone who grew up with it, it’s a nice treat to get a Happy Ending Sundae with your favorite toppings.

Terrible terrible experience. Waitress left right after I put in my order to go to the bank apparently. Got my food, but then no one came to check on me or give me anymore coffee. So unprofessional. Will never go back. Several other customers seemed upset as well.

My Husband and I went here this past Saturday evening. 8÷2÷2014. Was welcomed when we entered with a friendly smile by the hostess. Waited less then 10 minutes. When seated same greeter asked what we wanted to drink. Ronnie our waiter was outstanding, very personal, very attentive. We ordered for dinner a fishermanjig and I had the barbeque chicken breast supermelt. Food was good and so was our Ice Cream. Ronnie service what made us happy. If I could would of give service with Ronnie a 10. Sometimes in this case service outstanding and beyond pleased.

Terrible. Hadn’t been in awhile but the little ones really wanted to go. Got there around 4:30pm and it was moderately busy. We sat for 10 mins before we were acknowledged and then realised she gave us no kids menu (despite three kids in the group). The table next to us was kind enough to give us their kids menu. We ordered everything except the ice cream when the waitress returned. Twenty minutes later still no drinks. Who knew where our waitress was. Finally flagged another waitress and asked if we could get our drinks. Food was nowhere in sight. People that came after us were seated, had their drinks AND their meals. Finally half of our food came out and I saw they got two of the meals wrong. I asked for a manager and asked how could people that came after us already be finishing their meals and we are now getting half of ours, and they were wrong in addition. He comped one kids meal. How nice. The adult meals came out 10– 15 mins later. Then we kept having to search for our waitress. Exhausting. Over two hours had passed after everything was said and done. Two plus hours to eat at a glorified fast food restaurant. I left a 10% tip only because I felt bad leaving nothing but the service was beyond pathetic! The girls will cry, but it will be a long time before we come back to Friendly’s, if ever!

Every single time I come here the food takes forever, I watched the waiter eat one of the fries and I watched my food sit on the counter for 10 min, and of course the same tray of food was apparently mine. Horrible service.

We went last week with my friend and she ordered the ham and cheese omelette but instead of that she got the vegetarian. The waitress was kind enough to make a new one for her. Other than that the food was ok, not something great. Although the service was a little bit slow,

It was HORRIBLE!
I went with my grandma. First, the waiter didn’t ask if I wanted a refill until the end of our meal. Second, she took over 10 minutes to get my grandma the mayo she asked for when she ordered her meal. Third, our food was beyond greasy, disgusting greasy! We used at least 20 napkins, each! Fourth, the waitress was mediocre, and had an odd demeanor to her that made me feel like she didn’t want to be there. Fifth, this specific Friendly’s is awful and I will not be returning.

we hadnt been to a Friendly’s in YEARS but went here a couple of months ago and surprisingly enough, had a ‘decent’ meals, of the super melts. i had the ‘cape cod’ which was fish filets (actual fish as opposed to the square formed fish-​a –ma-​jig of our youth).It was pretty tasty, for a cheapo type place. Hubby had a chicken melt with bbq sauce, and liked it ok…
the problem was when we tried to go back a few weeks later, THEY were OUT of almost everything, had no fish, and both times the waitress tried to overcharge when we got their special sandwich with came with a drink and a sundae.
and BOTH times, the waitresses were nasty people with horrible attitudes. if they hate their job so much, they should QUIT! it was a terrible experience the last time, PLUS it took over an hour and half for a damn sandwich! I wanted to just walk out.
Horrid! it was after eating here i decided next time we would try that little thai place across the street that i had spotted from the parking lot (and boy, was i kicking myself once we tried it and found out how awesome it was!)…called Puket Café… and it was a WINNER and IT got 4 stars from us! go there instead!!!
Only go here if everything else is closed and u must eat something!

Pass!!! I doubt I will ever go to this Friendly’s again. Not because of the food or anything. It was your typical Friendly’s food. No real complaints about the staff, except for the fact that I ordered from the special menu that included a free soda and sundae, and she tried to play me and not give me a free ice cream after my dinner. I think I threw her off by ordering a water instead of a soda.
My true complaint has to do with the bathrooms. That was THE WORST bathroom I’ve ever been into. This includes dive gay bars outside of the country. With only two stalls, one looked like a poop bomb exploded in it. The second (not much cleaner), didn’t have any toilet paper. So I had to go back into the poop stall, steal some paper, and Matrix over the other stall to handle my business. Some poor girl had to use the poop stall. I get out to wash my hands, no soap, no paper towels! Seriously Friendly’s? I had to douse myself in Purell. I kindly offered the poor poop stall girl some too and we both walked out angrier than a mofo!
