We went here for an elementary school fundraiser. first time. So yummy! My kid loves hat she could do it all herself. The staff was so nice and the place was incredibly clean. practically sanitary! Love the little kid sized booth; perfect for little 5yr olds who felt like big shots sitting at their own table!

Ok — so I gave this place a couple of months before going back to see if they worked the kinks out… Ummmm no that’s a negative. We went in on a recent Sunday because we had a coupon and Mark was kind enough to go someplace other than his«go to» fro yo store. They had a great variety of flavors and I was dreaming of the combinations I could come up with BUT that is where the dream ended. Again none of the varieties had a distinct flavor and in contrast to last time(when the yogurt was very watery) it took a lot of effort to get the yogurt to actually get the fro yo in the cup. Sorry I go to the gym to work out — not Cherry Berry. Disappointing again. As Jeff F. said — I guess I am picky about my Fro Yo and as such will not be returning here anytime soon.

It was fun to read the reviews on this one. There are certainly some people who take their froyo very very seriously and good for them. The world needs folks who are connoisseurs of everything from froyo to pizza to fine French cuisine. I am apparently not one of those with a nuanced palate for frozen yogurt. This means that I like Cherry Berry just fine. Did not detect frozen ice crystals or different texture from the other frozen yogurt places that are popping up like weeds across the strip mall landscape. I admire how they all have names with a fruit surrounded by a color and essentially offer up the same self-serve experience with a dozen or so different flavors followed by dozens of toppings. It’s cookie cutter in concept and yet they’re all under different ownership. Weird… I will say that Cherry Berry has a very ‘in your face’ attitude. Loud, upbeat music, loud red colors, funky chairs, a bar along the wall with iPads for general consumption… You can decide if that’s your thing or not… For me, it’s a tasty treat and probably the same as if I went to PinkBerry or Froyo World or Yogurt Madness or…

Location — Located in on the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill town line in the same strip mall with Starbucks. Parking is a bit limited as there’s Starbucks and a Pizza Outlet nearby. Aesthetics — Large interior and very modern with bright colors and hip-hop music playing. Chairs and tables all modern as well. Very well lit. Menu — Flavors are located toward the back of the store so walk past the cashier but before you pass them, ask for your sample cups. Flavors seem wild and wacky, e.g. Cookie Monster, Pink Dreamsicle, Peach Medley, California Tart. Service — The staff was friendly and welcoming once you enter the store and even when leaving all with a smile on their face. Their kindness didn’t seem forces or feigned and was genuine enough. Food — Some flavors I tried were not well liked but that’s the beauty of having so many choices to choose from. Rating — 4⁄5. Definitely worth coming back because frozen yogurt is in and it’s the healthy choice for those desiring frozen delights.

We’ve gone twice and it was good both times. The biggest selling points: iPads at the counter for kids to play on, and not as crazy(or cramped) as sweet frog. Prices were about the same as all the other froyo places around.

CherryBerry yogurt at the Wethersfield location is 49 cents per ounce. That is the same price as Kiwi Spoon in Rocky Hill or Froyo World in Middletown. Yogurt Madness in Newington is slightly more expensive at 51 cents per ounce. I have had a different experience than other reviewers at this location. I have been there 3 times so far and I find that their yogurt is actually better tasting than the other froyo locations listed above. It also looks like actual yogurt(less creamy), whereas the other locations’ yogurt looks like soft serve ice cream. The ads claim it is made from real dairy product and not a powder, which may be the difference. Other pluses: double points days for the Berry Bonus Bucks card, and some days they have a ‘free add-in’ you can put on after the weighing of the cup. If you accumulate 50 points(usually $ 1 per point), you get 5 Berry Bucks, which I’m assuming are worth their value in regular dollars in free yogurt. This system is more flexible than other froyo places with punch cards or stamp cards. Drawbacks to CherryBerry: the flavors are more limited than other froyo locations and so are the toppings. Unfortunately this is a pretty major flaw. If they increased their selection of toppings, this could be my favorite froyo place.

Anne and I walked into a very clean but quiet establishment. The staff said hi as we entered and made our way to the yogurt. Unfortunately this was the start of things going down hill. Once we made our way to the flavors, we could not find the staff anymore. We had to go find the staff to ask for sample cups. The yogurt was watered down with no flavor and there was ice crystals in the yogurt. No matter what of the 10 flavors we tried, nothing was pleasant. After tasting, we decided to leave and again there was no staff to even provide feedback to. I would not recommend even trying this yogurt place.

I love froyo. I mean, I really, really love froyo. I had it three times just this week. And I was excited to have a froyo place open up on such a convenient place to my home. I went in for the first time and I tasted all the flavors. I enjoyed the fact that they gave you sample cups and you went up to the machines by yourself. I think it’s obnoxious when they follow you and pour you the samples. Some give you major attitude after just sampling two flavors. I tried them all and there is just something off about the froyo. It wasn’t creamy. It had a weird chemical taste to it. I had Pinkberry at Evergreen two days later and it was excellent. Creamy, light, and flavorful. That confirmed that my taste buds weren’t off or I had suddenly developed an aversion to froyo. I got a very small serving to go. I couldn’t finish it. It felt a crime to ingest calories of something that didn’t taste good. First time I’ve ever thrown away froyo.

2012 was the year of the cupcake 2013 is the year of froyo These shops are EXPLODING all over the place, and it’s going to have the krispy kreme effect. They’ll be closing 2⁄3 of them in a year’s time. The place was sparking and decorated nicely. Very modern. The original tart was good, but I was taken back that they don’t offer honey as a topping(–1 star) Also, if you think being stared at while eating your chinese food is bad, it’s worse being stared at here. It was uncomfortable, and i felt unwelcomed.(–1 star) You’re better off taking it to go.
