Athens Pizza

My boyfriend and I stopped in for salads last week. My Greek salad came out in about five minutes and was an average Greek salad. About twenty five minutes later my boyfriends California salad still had not come out, they completely forgot his order. It was incredibly unprofessional. I would give Athens one star but the food overall was not horrible. I definitely prefer other pizza places.

Got delivery, just a cheese pizza and broccoli poppers. Took 45 minutes on a Thursday afternoon which isn’t wild. But for a place that is 10 minutes from my house the food is cold. I questioned whether the poppers were even cooked enough in general. I can’t see the pizza being edible even if it was hot. It’s soggy, tastes like ⁷⁄₁₁ pizza. I asked how much when the guy handed me the food, just to make sure I was giving enough after the delivery charge (sometimes they don’t get to keep that), and he didn’t even know. Still hungry, don’t waste your time.

This is the BEST pizza I have EVER had in my life and I’m talking better than the pies I’ve eaten in Sicily and Rome! The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce is perfect too! Not too sweet, not too spicy. I love to LOAD my pizza with toppings and Athens always has the FRESHEST ingredients for me to feel confident that nothing is going to spoil it’s delicious flavor. The chefs are passionate and the staff work HARD. The place is ALWAYS busy! 5 minutes to close and there is still a line! I don’t understand the bad reviews. But then again, there is an epidemic out there of people who will ONLY post negative reviews, so I can’t be that taken aback. Some people just can’t be pleased. When you look at the prices of their items and the fresh ingredients they are using, this place is basically giving away their food. Everything I’ve ever ordered from Athens, and I live right down the street so I’ve ordered A LOT, has been divinely delicious and the haters can go choke on some Dominos slimy slices and leave these pies for me!

LOVE this place, best steakbombs on the south shore, speaking of which Im gonna go indulge now, treat yourself to athens once and you will be hooked and the staff are extremely nice. Keep it up Athens, ever since I moved to weymouth I asked for suggestions for pizza and sub spots Athens was everyones answers. YOU GUYS ROCK

I had an Italian sub this afternoon. All I have to say is, «mystery meat!» The sub tasted disgusting, so I took all the meat out except for the salami and cheese. It was edible at that point. I was very disappointed. I won’t be going back here unfortunately. A good Italian sub is very hard to come by. I give Olympic pizza in weymouth 5 stars for their delicious Italian sub! I will only go there for now on.

Can’t seen to get my order correct lately highly disappointed to get home open my food and its not how I ordered it. And the chicken stir fry had too much teriyaki sauce It was diagusting

first positives:
Food is awesome and consistent. reasonably priced, and when you get it inside it is all that cheesy goodness you expect from a greek pizza joint.
negatives: interior is lame, but they have been doing a lot to improve it. I remember when I first moved to Weymouth, and we went inside, it was smokey because the kitchen wasn’t properly set up or something. Now (3 years later) it is really nice, really clean. They are making an effort to make their home match their product, and it shows. Booths are still uncomfortable, etc. But really, if you are grabbing pizza in a strip mall, it is pretty nice for that. Delivery is always a good option

The chicken parmesan was mediocre but good. The garlic bread was bland. The ziti and veal was okay. The staff is very friendly. The booths are a very tight fit. The pizza has really gone down hill over the years. It is a great place only for a cheap quick bite to eat.

Love this place! So what if it’s a touch divey? Athens is consistently great — in both their service and food. Get the stuffed potato skins! They’re heavenly :)

I cannot say enough good about this place.
Their food is excellent! I’ve had just about 1 of everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed.
They have the best salads, pizza, calzones, and sides of any local pizza place.
Their delivery and pick ups are always on time and the staff is very friendly.
I recommend this every time my friends are over and hungry!

Top notch pizza for the area. Pizza with feta spinach garlic and olives is out of this world. Baklava is my preference over rice pudding but both are delicious.
Haven’t tried the subs yet.

My fiancé and I order here pretty often. They always delivery quickly and they seem to put a lot of thought and care into their food — they do things like wrap the chicken up so not to wilt the lettuce on their chicken caesar salad for example. Their prices seem a little high on some items but truthfully you get a lot for your money so its worth it. I would definitely recommend this place.

We just moved to Weymouth in November and have been searching for a pizza shop we could call our own. (Been having a hard time) Christmas Eve we finally found it. After driving by a few times we decided to give these guys a chance.
We ordered a small pizza with bacon and olives and unlike some of the other local competitors there was no shortage of either topping. You could actually see the the bacon! The crust was golden and buttery but not greasy, and the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and salty.
The same was true with the potato skins, large potatoes loaded with cheese and bacon and a «real» amount of sour cream, not those little 2 dip cups.
I ordered a Greek salad with Tuna. The amount of tuna they gave me was perfect and delicious! The lettuce was fresh, not brown, bagged, or water logged as other places have sent. The greek dressing was fantastic as well.
I know my review may sound a little excited but I am a professional chef and the other pizza shops we’ve been trying have been horrible with horrible service (One of the delivery men actually started yelling at me over the price that was on the slip that his glasses were not strong enough to read). It’s just nice to find a pizza shop that is good all around and I look forward to ordering again!!! Thank you

They started out very good and went down hill over the past four years or so. Now the subs are horrible and some of them are leaking water from the to go bag! The pizza also went downhill. Ever since they increased the size of the pizza slice, it went down in quality; up in size, down in quality. The pepperoni has a funny taste to it. The booth seating is still as uncomfortable as it always has been. If you are fat like me, you may not be able to fit in the booth bench, as your stomach will make contact with the table.

Surprised nobody’s written a review for this place, it’s been there for years and always seems to be hoppin. I ordered some pizzas and salad recently and really enjoyed them. They looked and tasted like they weren’t just thrown together, but rather made with care and dare I say — love? The pizzas didn’t exactly have any real «zing» to them but the cheese seemed like real fresh mozzarella and the sauce had this nice herb-​y flavor to it. I ordered spinach on one and they put it under the cheese so as to not char it. Cool. The salad wasn’t just shoved into it’s container either, they actually arranged the veggies ontop of the lettuce that showed they gave a crud. The delivery was super fast and friendly too. All around, good food and good service — I’d definitely order again from them.

I’ve never gotten sick eating there — they rule! The highlight is their gyro’s — best I’ve ever had. Get that with a side of onion rings and you’ll come back for more I promise you!
