Finishing Touch Auto Detailing

Steve at finishing touch has been taking car of my cars for over 5 years. He gives personal service that you only get from a small business. I am always satisfied with the work he does and recommend to all my friends. The detailing that he does for my cars yearly helps keep the value of my cars! I would go out of my way to do business with Steve.

Run the other way. Terrible business, terrible owners. Of course they moved. Too many unhappy customers.

If you want your car interior to be «cleaned» with sand paper, then go to this place. My dashboard and wooden panels on my Lexus are totally ruined with swirl marks everywhere! I guess they are wayy too cheap to use new cloths and keep reusing the old ones which ends up scratching everything! I didn’t use a Groupon like everyone else, and still makes no difference quality wise. Totally ticked off!

I only read a few of the reviews before dropping my car off. I didn’t have any problems contacting them. They reference a Quincy address but the guy on the phone mentioned they moved to Weymouth. I re-​read the Groupon before I went over to make sure I understood what it included. I met the guy and knew, just knew, immediately in my gut that it wasn’t going to end well. I knew shampooing wasn’t included. $ 40 for shampooing a tiny Kia? And that doesn’t include the seats? Ah, no thanks. Then he said you’re getting a $ 175 detailing with a groupon. I was kinda ticked by this. Hey look, your company advertised for the groupon, don’t blame me because I bought it?! I should’ve walked out right there. Instead, I gave the benefit of the doubt and confirmed that it included exterior detailing, right? He nodded. I didn’t elaborate on what I was expecting based on the implied «shut up you’re using a groupon comment». I should’ve. I got it back the next day. And sure enough it didn’t have «exterior detailing» I was expecting and was on the groupon, specifically «touch up paint and buffing to remove minor scratches and oxidation». That service was a major reason I opted to go with this company vs the 5 others offering detailing. I mentioned this to the guy. He refused to admit that the groupon had that service listed. It did. Fourth bullet up from the bottom of «services included in this groupon» page. At this point, I’m like just give me the freakin keys. I sit in it. The mats are in the back of the car not returned to their places. The visors inside and out are untouched, the console still has some sort of beverage stain, which I use my thumb nail to scratch off and clean. Boom. Gone. Seriously? Now I have a 75% detailed car, still with exterior swirls and minor scratches. Groupon cancels the deal based on customer feedback about the business and offers refunds to those still unused 24 hours before deal expires… WTF? So, to sum up, folks, they suck. Stay away and find a company who treats customers right, with respect and delivers on what they say they will do, and no groupon bait and switch. Never again for me. One and done.

The 4 stars are for the difficulty in getting the appointment and inability to reach them on the phone, otherwise I would have rated them 5 stars. I, like most people bought the groupon and tried to fix up an appointment, but finally got it 6 weeks after I visited them to make one (my groupon had expired by then, but they granted me an extension because they didn’t have dates) Anyways, I left my car there at 9AM before going into work. My work keeps me pretty much occupied all through the week, so I haven’t had my car detailed in more than a year and it was very dirty with dust and salt stains over the carpets (paid an additional $ 40 for the carpet shampoo as an add on) The guy who took my car was very professional and told me he would hide my car keys below the floor mats. The results when I got to it in the evening were incredible. The floor mats were clean, the windows were crystal clear, and the dash clean as a whistle, and the woodgrain shiny. I would definitely recommend them and would return back when its time for detailing. I have attached pics of my car (the Infiniti pics uploaded by me)

I would like to know what the agenda of the people writing negative reviews about this place is. I understand that different people can have different points of view but I find is hard to believe that the place I went to could have generated reviews that negative. I read in the Groupon reviews that they are not good about answering the phone so I did go over there about 6 weeks ago to schedule an appointment. Was given July 7^th as next available. Beyond that inconvenience — and I might have been fine just calling if the Groupon reviews were as inaccurate as the negative ones on Unilocal.Shampooing rugs was listed on Groupon as not included so you pay extra for that. I was greeted immediately upon my arrival as I had been when I originally went to set up the appointment. Very friendly and businesslike. I wasn’t able to get back for my car til after closing. My CRV was right where I was told it would be with keys locked inside as I’d asked. Car was spotless. Could not have been cleaner.

Beware of these thieves!!! This place is a rip off… I bought a groupon but it expired as they don’t answer their phone ever. Finally I was able to get hold of them after 9 months of buying the groupon and as soon as I told them I have a groupon they said no appointment available. Then I called again after sometime posing a different person, took an appointment as thy had it available for ‘anytime’ next week. I went there and told them that I have an expired groupon but I would like to get compete detailing done and they said $ 100 WITH the groupon. When I went back to take my car the guy changed the story and said $ 100 on top of the groupon… I was furious but I said okay I my a heard it wrong. It was almost the closing time to I sad to leave but as soon as I drive a couple miles I realized that they had nothing inside the car apart from shampooing the carpet. Seats were still dirty, stains were their, and the dashboard wasn’t even vacuumed once. I then found out the quarters that I had in my car were gone (worth $ 10) then next I learnt it was low on gas, I had it at more than half the tank when I left it there, then to add to my misery the charger was missing too… Here are some of the photos of the inside of the cars… These guys are crooks DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPONS!!! I am amazed how groupon is still associated with them after so many complaints… I wish somebody files a lawsuits against them and get this disgusting place closed! These people are cheats and do not deserve any business!!! They do not even talk k their customers politely!!! Somebody please get them closed!!!

I’ll admit– I was skeptical after reading the reviews about this place. I had purchased a Groupon and waited about 4 weeks to get in. I am only in MA twice a month from CT so my days were limited– but Todd was able to accommodate my schedule. I, personally, didn’t have any issues getting ahold of anyone. Todd seems to be a one man show as I didn’t see anyone else there– so I’m guessing that might be why he’s hard to get ahold of. I don’t know. All I know is that the Groupon was a steal and my car came back sparkling. I only detail my car once a year so it was really grimy from 12 months of hiking dirt, salt from winter and my dog, Hiker. Everything– even down to the nasty cup holders and dull convertible top, was VERY clean and shiny. One tip for Groupon purchasers– vacuuming is NOT included and cost $ 40 extra to do, which I was ok with paying. I would definitely bring my car back.

If there’s an option for no star I would have select that in a heartbeat. They don’t pick up phone calls so do not call them unless you want to raise your blood pressure. I also bought their group on and I have to actually go to their physical store. And when I got here. I told the worker I would like to setup an appointment and he told me to wait while he finish washing the car. It’s been 15 minutes and still waiting. look like customer service is there last priority.

DONT BUY THEIR GROUPON!!!
I had the same problem as the last reviewer. I bought a Groupon and tried for months to contact them. (Only because I couldn’t get a refund after the 3 days were up). I called and left messages, I sent them emails through their website. When I bought the groupon it gave the Braintree address, I wasted my gas by going over there to try to talk to someone. It was a creepy garage and was closed during business hours. Their website said they had a Quincy address, I went there and found a hole where a building should be, and a sign that said to go to Braintree. After an email to support for Groupon, they told me they were in Weymouth. Until recently, their Weymouth location was listed as closed.
I really hope people read this review and the previous one so they don’t make the same mistake we did waste their money.

I really can’t speak as to how they clean cars. However, I don’t know how they function as a business without EVER picking up their phone. I purchased the groupon and have tried to contact them every day for the past week, and have never reached anyone but voicemail. I’ve tried at different times of the day. I’ve left 2 messages. Never a call back. Today was the last straw when I called and their voicemail was full! Obviously I’m not the only one that they don’t call back. Avoid yourself the frustration.
