Fort Whaley Campground

My family and extended family vacation for 3 – 4 nights at Fort Whaley Campground every June; their prices, services, facilities and amenities keep us coming back!
To start, they allow early check in if the previous camper is off your site (check out is 11:30 AM).
The grounds are very well maintained, clean, grass is cut, free of weeds & debris.
The pavilion offers a DJ, karaōke, and special events for families of all ages.
The kids park has been redone for 2016 and offers all-​day fun for kids of all ages.
The sites that we stay on (electric & water) are large, flat, and have a good combination of grass, gravel and dirt, with a picnic table for each.
The bathhouses are cleaned very regularly, with many shower stalls, toilet stalls, and bench space.
The BEST part of our stay is the use of the water park at Frontier Town — many slides, baby pool, lazy river, and fountains. They offer several food & drink options, all at reasonable prices.
If there was one thing I would change — that would be firewood and ice prices. All firewood must be purchased from them (due to transporting bugs) and therefore should be included in your campsite price. Also, I understand the «pay for convenience» concept but two small bags of ice shouldn’t cost $ 10.

Nice campground — could use a little more maintenance for the price. The fire pit was full of butts when we checked in, the Wi-​Fi is horrible, and your knees hit the door in the bathroom stalls at the pool. Also there was alot of trash around the pool area in the grass when you sat at the pool. The park could use a little more cleaning :-)
The staff were very wonderful and nice.
We had a great time and actually preferred the quite over Frontier Town. We would come back again and would love to stay here. The negatives are easy to fix and I hope they will look into it.

Great location and facility is well maintained.
Lots of planned activities, pool, miniature golf, dog park, catch & release fishing pond.
Nice camping store with all of your needs & reasonable prices.
Our first time here and we will be back.
