Very impressed that they carry my vice of choice. Normally only can find it in a «big box» liquor store. This is the only small store I’ve found it at! Glad I don’t have to drive to the awful AJ for it. Stopped in on a whim after the new liquor store in the area was found to have bad prices and even worse employees. Vern’s needs to work on being friendly though. Didn’t feel welcome.

Quite possibly the best. These guys know their stuff and have an incredible selection of craft beer at better than Applejack prices. They have samples and specials on fridays and everybody is just the right amount of friendly. I routinely ask for recommendations as I like to try new stuff and they always point me in the right direction. Vern’s does it right, I’m really glad they’re in my neighborhood.

Friendly service and great selection! I was extremely happy to come across Vern’s when we moved to the area and I’ll probably drive out of my way to come here if we ever move away. Their selection of craft beer is great and seems to be expanding every week. The owners are extremely nice and know most of their customers by name which is rare in this day and age. If you enjoy craft beer and live nearby or if you’re just driving by Wadsworth on I-70, it’s definitely worth stopping by Vern’s for their awesome selection and great service.

Sigh… Used to be one of the best hidden gems for craft beer in the Denver metro. Under new ownership and the beer selection has gotten pretty sad. Haven’t seen a single new bomber in months — even the not-so specialty beers aren’t in stock. Still very friendly staff — convenient location. Definitely still a go-to for the basics.

Recently changed owners. Seems friendly enough but clearly more it as a business and not so much the love of good beer. Expanding into space next door. Seem to remain dedicated to stocking a large selection of craft beers. Prices went up about 10−20% but that seems to be a trend for crafts. Wine selection still a bit limited and what there is seems pricey. Hard liquor is like any other neighborhood liquor store. Update: Craft beer selection continues to grow and evolve. Always something good to try her. Prices remain competitive with most neighborhood stores.

My neighborhood liquor store, if you are looking for basic beer or liquor you will not find a friendlier place, if wine is you deal this is not the store.

This place is great. I was teetering between 4 and 5 stars, but being a wino, the selection of wine could be a little better. However, they do have some nice wines, and Eugene gave me some great suggestions. He even did an exchange for me on a bottle that had turned, and was very apologetic. I didn’t have the receipt, but even after one visit he remembered me and didn’t give me a hard time at all. Overall, awesome staff, great prices, perfect location, decent selection, clean and well-organized store. Oh, and they have wine and beer tastings on Fridays from 5−7… count me in!

Little neighborhood liquor store with an Owner than actually talks to the customers. Great selection of import and micro brew beers gives it a big thumbs up!

It’s a good store but I don’t shop there anymore because every time i go in things are more expensive. They have a good beer and wine selection lots of micro brews but they’re starting to charge way too much.
