Absolutely love this place. My wife and I stop in here after an evening of fishing and the proprietors always remember us and are always cheerful. The food is fast, hot, and delicious! There’s nothing fancy or special, just good food and friendly service. Definitely recommend this place.

My family has been eating at Roberto’s for almost 30 years, dating back to when they were across the street in Wheatland! I’ve always had nothing but friendly service and tasty food. My mother and I ate there this last Saturday and, as expected, were not disappointed! The carnitas chimichanga is to die for(I had to ask for it to be carnitas special, but that’s usually no big deal at taqueria style restaurants like this). I always look forward to stopping by when we’re passing through.

Food is ok, but I get tired of the TV being on Univision. Put on a football game or something your customers would want to watch. The TV isn’t for you waitress!!! I’ve only had one bad experience, but food is mediocre. Could use a good cleaning too.

Great place with good service. Just passing through. I got a 3 part enchilada that was designed after the flag with different colors. Yummy!

Pancho Villa burger is great! The spicy mayo and jalapeños give it a nice little kick!

The food is great! The service is awesome!!! I ordered the two item plate, it’s the best deal. I got the wet burrito and quesadilla. Price wasn’t so bad either. The owners made me feel right at home and the waitress was super friendly!

Good food! It’s a great stop for some lunch, a very simple menu of good Mexican food. The downsides have to be the service, while the waitresses are very kind and welcoming, they get distracted easily and waiting for a refill will take some time. Other than that, the food was worth the price for a good lunch.

Sorry folks… The canned salsa was not good. You could taste the metal in the tomatoes! The carnitas was dry as well as the shredded beef. And no flavor at all. The prices were too high, was surprised by $ 13 for a burrito. The restaurant itself needs a thorough scrub down. You can tell kitchen cleanliness from restroom, scary thought. Was sadly disappointed. Will not return!

Having recently moved here from Texas I was happy to find a local Mexican food place. Then I went inside. One of the employees(maybe even owner) had her children/grandchildren literally running through the restaurant yelling and screaming. They came right up to our table while we tried to order. It was surreal. This continued for at least 20 minutes. The food was edible, at best. I wasn’t a fan of the salsa. The enchilada was meh. The tamale was probably the best of the lot… however I’ve had better from the HEB grocery stores in Texas. As others have stated, the inside of this place is pretty nasty looking. I wouldn’t go back.

I am so glad I tried it before I read these reviews. While the inside could be nicer, anyone who knows some of the best Mexican food can be found at those out of the way, hole-in-the-wall joints. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by their tamales and I was SO happy! Tasted just like the ones I grew up eating at Christmas time at church. Light and fluffy masa and a great pork filling. I also had a carne asada taco and the homemade tortilla and meat was great. Don’t go for the atmosphere, you won’t care after you start eating. Yummmmm

Roberto’s is slower paced but tasty. The flautas are to die for! If you haven’t tried them yet, give it a shot… I crave their flautas. Also they have the bets fried ice cream drizzled with honey and dusted with cinnamon. So tasty!

My favorite Mexican restaruant in the Yuba-Sutter area. When I crave good menudo I come here! It is flavorful; not bland with plenty hominy and tender tripe. Their chile verde always consist of fresh tender pork and chiles. I have never been disappointed there.

I have been going to Roberto’s since they opened. Never had a bad meal. We go there at least once a month. Prices are reasonable. Food is always hot and tasty. Portions are generous, usually need a doggie bag. They make their own salsa and gucamole fresh every day, get there early as they sometimes run out. Their deep fried ice cream is to die for, we usually split one because they are so big.

Oh, poor Roberto’s. How one cringes when someone says«Let’s go to Roberto’s.» My first thought??? I’ll grab a manwich and some Resers Potato salad at Big Al’s. Simply put, Roberto’s is not, and never will be, Moreno’s. The locals will understand. One positive… the people are incredibly friendly. The food is not great. The prices are ok, but not for the quality you recieve. DONOTGETBREAKFAST. DONOTGETDINNER. ONLYGETLUNCH. It’s also terrribly musky and stuffy inside the restaurant. …and the last thing, the one everyone knows, this place is quite possibly the sloooooowest of all time… I mean painfully slow. You should immediately call Roberto’s after reading this entire review and order something… maybe by this weekend, you’ll have a little time, you can come out to Wheatland, stop at Roberto’s, and your order might be ready. Roberto’s has even attempted prime rib… which was a comedy of errors at best. …and now unfortunately, Mi Pueblito Taqueria has come in and WOW!!! Not WOW!!! as in Mi Pueblito Taqueria(Which we call«The Pueb») is the greatest Mexican food ever, but WOW!!! what an obvious difference in flavor, speed of service, and overall value. So to summarize… Good: Friendly, Flautas… Bad: Everything else. You get a 2 based on the flautas.
