Walked in and ordered the large steak and cheese combo and got it less than 5 minutes later. The combo came with a ton of fries and two drinks. The frozen lemonade was huge. There were more than enough crinkle-cut fries for two people. There was an ample amount of steak in the steak and cheese though the steak was a tad salty but not overwhelming. I’d get the steak and cheese combo meal again. I saw several reviews that criticized the delivery process. You are dealing with Maryland drivers. What did you expect?

After receiving several menus in the mail from Kenny’s sub shop, I decided to try it. I called and ordered a Gyro with everything. Here is a breakdown of the good, the bad and the ugly: 2 stars for the food. The flavor was definitely there. the Gyro meat was perfectly cooked and not too salty. Great balance of feta cheese. However at the same time, when I say that I want everything… It means everything(lettuce, tomatoes, olives). Instead, all I got were a few pieces of Onion. Really? Come on now! Half a star for promptness. They said the food would be delivered in an hour and it was here in 45 minutes. Half a stars for being innovative. Rather than taking my credit card number over the phone, the driver had a wireless credit card machine and took my payment at the time of delivery. And now… The Ugly… When I called to make the order, I was asked for and provided my apartment number. Now I’m sure that any person being asked this would automatically think that your food will be delivered to your door. Well boy do I have some sad news for you… It doesn’t work that way with Kenny’s Sub Shop Boo Boo!!! Kenny’s sub shop does drive by delivery orders. They call you to come downstairs or outside to meet them in their car. Frankly the only thing left for them to do is throw your food like a Frisbee through their car window for you to catch it. With that said. They get a 2 star deduction for crappy service and making me exhaust so much effort to investigate and figure outwhi the driver/delivery guy is and not at least placing some sort of marker or identification for you to know it’s Kenny’s sub shop. After all not every Asian Looking person works at a Chinese shop or is a delivery guy… Just saying…

Standard chinese fare, with really nice employees. If you’re in the mood for chinese, this isn’t a bad choice at all.

Worst service I have ever had I am so angry. I called at 10:09 to place as order and they told me my food would arrive shortly. I called back at 10:52 and they said it was on the way. I called back at 11:21 which was past their closing time and no body ever picked up the phone.

This place is super convenient to where I live and they deliver for those days that I’m very lazy. And I should probably do delivery because I hate walking there even though it’s just a hop skip and a jump away because the place is really filthy and it really makes me question the food that I eat from there. It’s very convenient and really quick. Probably really great food on those nights when you’re really drunk and hungry. But I don’t recommend it if you’re sober.

Not the best customer device but the food is always reliably good bit exquisite but good I think they became a little too popular for their own good cuz on the phone they don’t even try to be cordial but I have gotten their wings since I was in grade school and I’m 4 years past that. Their wings and REDMUMBOSAUCE are the absolute best items but they’re so good so they get a pass but impede from Danny’s sub shop as a first choice and this as a handy second

Not sure why the online trolls rate this place a star rating of at least 3. Kenny’s always delivers their food on a timely basis. Sure– S&^t happens(Friday or Saturday or holidays). Give them a break, for your lazy a%$ not willing to drive out in rain or snow. Taste? Easy. The taste selection at Kenny’s is standardized Chinese-American food.(lots of salt people, unhealthy cr^p and yummy yummy no-cooking evening.) There are No-frill surprises here. You can’t really screw up American– Chinese food coming from people who cook it daily. Do you understand??? YOUAREORDERINGTAKEOUT, TROLLS. So, to continue on the review, Kenny’s is accurate, extremely. Having ordered form this fast food-chop house 50 plus time in the course of three years(yes, I said 50 plus times) of moving from Columbia Md to the busy, hustling Silver Spring/Wheaton area. The wings are huge– and I hate large wings. Why do I eat it? Because NOCHINESE restaurant serves petite bar style wings–(too bad, Troll, for your comment). Portions are more than reasonable. Not sure why anyone would call a third party to have Chinese food to be delivered, oh well. DUH. Here is my complaint– and it’s not on taste, presentation, delivery or other time wasting comments littered here and everywhere else on social media. I do not like the Price Shifting that happens. The menus do reflect the«subject to change without notice» warning and a meal that was calculated to be $ 22(with tax) is now $ 25.99. This is a review for others to read, objectively. Ok, Trolls, keep it up. I’m watching Unilocal.Thank you, for reading. Try Kenny’s and leave a review. Good or bad– just stick to the facts.

I made an order on Eat24( Unilocal app). Placed order 2 hours ago, and food was never delivered. I called the restaurant and lady lied over 4 times about the status on my order. I do not recommend ordering through the delivery service or in person. Worst service ever!

Photos are not representative. food is about as mediocre as you think it is — super bland, but edible. highlight: large portions for entrees and soups if you’re into it. wings are meh(mumbo sauce managed to be bland). Don’t think I’ll be ordering again unfortunately.

Used to love this place! Who doesn’t love a spot that serves both subs and Chinese food? Usually epic right? But Kennys has really gone downhill. Wings were pitiful; small, overcooked, pricey, and slightly sweet(what!!!). Got the steak and cheese. Portion seemed ok but the taste was just south of fresh. Don’t waste your time(or money)

**5REASONSWHY I WILLNOTORDERFROMKENNY’S INWHEATONAGAIN** 1. The delivery driver took $ 15TIP from my son without our permission. (The driver didn’t deserve a $ 15 tip). 2. I called the restaurant to explain what happened and they hung up on me about 5 different times. 3. When I finally spoke to the manager he did not believe me, did not try to figure things out and to make it worst he threaten me telling me that he «knows everything about me, where I live and my phone number» when I told him I will make sure to post on social media sites. 4. The manager also told me I can«call the police and take him to court if I want to» so I called the police on him for threatening me. 5. The food is not worth it. I ended up paying $ 40 for a $ 24 delivery bill and on top of that got threaten by the manager. 5. You ORDERATYOUROWNRISK. No customer deserves to be treated like this, they deserve«0» stars. This is my first and last time ordering from this place and I just wished I would of read their reviews ahead.

I wish I could give them 0 stars because they lacked in many areas including cleanliness, quality of the food and customer service! I ordered shrimp fried rice w roast pork but the roast pork was MOSTLY fat. When I brought it to the attention of the man at the counter, he told me it was okay — I even separated the roast pork out to show him how disgusting it was but he kept saying it was okay and no one else ever complained — are u serious really — I let him know(since he obviously doesn’t know) that those people are NOT me and that as a business, he needs to address each situation individually. Next I found that my egg roll was loaded with grease — so much that the bag was full of grease. I then brought that to him and asked is this okay too? He then said no — k will make another one. However, I decided I will not wait as I felt he should have responded the same way when I brought the fatty roast pork to his attention. I told him never mind and left. I totally regret going to this carryout as they do not take pride on the presentation of their food, the place is dirty and they fail in all levels of customer service!

Their customer service is terrible, and there is poor hygiene. I called for delivery and the lady answering the phone sounded very rude and annoyed from the beginning. The background noise and her accent made it very difficult for me to understand, so I had to ask her a few times to repeat what she was saying. She ended up yelling at me and pretty much said«What else do you want!» At that point I just said«that’s all» and she hanged up on me. She didn’t even tell me how long it would take for my order to be delivered nor asked me how I was paying. I waited wondering if my order was being processed or not. When my order came, my sub was all squished into a piece of aluminum foil, the juices from the toppings made the bread very soft and my sub ended up like a mixture of bread and chicken pudding. NOTCOOL. Definitely not the smartest way to pack a sub«to-go». I had to just put the mix of bread and toppings on a plate and ended up eating my sub with a fork, it was impossible to eat it properly. To top it off, when I was in the middle of eating my now«chicken and cheese sub pudding» I found a hair in the food. DISGUSTING! Makes you think of what kinds of hygiene regulations are being processed, IF there are any! Definitely not buying anything else from these people EVER again! Might be cheap, but not worth the food poison nor the mistreatment from their cashier.

I just moved across the street from this place and found myself hungry late at night. I ordered the large steak and cheese with marinara on side. This was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever tasted. I was unable to eat more than half of it. I’m never one to call and complain and when I did they did nothing for me. A place that I probably would eat at once a week because of proximity will never see me again.

I simply love this place… I always get the House Steak sub, sliced once(or in half). I just feel the taste, the value, the product is well above average. I like the half and half(lemonade iced tea) frosty. It’s not fancy but you will be full. Its a greasy spoon but you should have known that from the go.

I’ve been wanting to try Kenny’s since it’s in walking distance from me. I finally made it over there and ordered the filet fish and cheese sub. It was just okay and I found myself constantly looking at it in between bites. I was probably paranoid due to the seeming lack of cleanliness in that place. In the kitchen, there were stacks and stacks of boxes up to the ceiling, who knows what crawlers and critters might be hiding in all that mess. Keep it clean, Kenny’s. Keep it clean(at least to the naked eye). I doubt I’ll be returning.

Basic takeout food. Good to me, nice fries, saucy wings. Lo Mein isn’t that bad. Average place, delivery took quite a while though. I’d good back, they have a large menu and their prices/portions are pretty hard to beat.

The food at Kenny’s is your standard greasy take-out/deliver food, but it definitely hits the spot when you’re hungry and in Wheaton and need something cheap but filling! The low rating is because of customer service. I had a leg injury that left me unable to really leave my apartment or move around that much. I ordered delivery because I thought it would be a simple way to eat some dinner without really having to move or cook, except to answer the door. When the Kenny’s driver got to my apartment, he refused to punch in the code to enter the apartment building. He called and demanded that I come outside the complex to pick up the food. When I tried to explain to him that I couldn’t walk and was disabled, he yelled at me — loud. Then he hung up in my face as I tried to explain to him my disability. I was shocked. I had to call up to Kenny’s to get the manager to explain to him that he had to actually deliver the food to my door. He eventually brought the food up. It was a pretty awful experience.

Kenny’s has finally let me down. I have been a regular with Kenny’s for a long time. They have always been a go to for me when I have had a late evening at work and needed some grub on the quicktime. So, today, after a long day, I ordered my usual… fries, bar-b-q spareribs(no sauce) and chicken wings. Well, I got stale fries and burnt spareribs. The interesting thing is that when I called them on my cellphone, I got a busy signal… on 5 attempts. So I called from a different phone and immediately got through. As I said interesting. I told them that my fries were stale and ribs were burnt. The girl that answered the phone acted like she knew exactly what was delivered to me. But instead of offering to have fresh fries and ribs delivered as I requested, she gave me a refund for value. Although, I gladly accepted the refund, I am unhappy that they knowingly sent out the door, stale fries and burnt ribs. What makes it worse, is that I have been a long time regular customer and yet that didn’t matter enough for them to send out a fresh batch of fries and properly cooked ribs. This is not the first time they have disappointed me but this time it was bad enough that I could no longer overlook it, loyalty aside. Goodbye Kenny’s. Permanently.

Food: The Kenny’s in Rockville pike is way better because you can taste the freshness of the fried chicken. Otherwise, this is a good substitute whenever I want inexpensive, quick and tasty Chinese food! Service: I always call in for carryout(sometimes delivery) since I live nearby and usually they’ll have it ready within 10 minutes. Depending on how busy they are, when they are not busy you get your food delivered within 15 – 20 minutes and your food is still hot. Environment: Beware of going there because parking is VERY limited and whatever you do, do NOT park in any Dunkin Donuts spaces because I’ve seen many cars getting towed!!! Inside is your typical carryout place; only have 3 – 4 tables so I do not recommend planning to eat inside.
