Great variety of food and beers. The outdoor patio addition is amazing. Nice cool place to eat overlooking Wheeling creek. Service is always friendly and attentive.

Truly is about as good as it gets in Wheeling. I’ve had some great dishes here from the steak wrap to the pork chops. The Pizza and Pitch special on Tuesday is a steal. This place is good to go to for most any occasion. I will continue to enjoy going here regularly.

OMG their pierogies are off the hook. I live in Texas(grew up in Pittsburgh) and you really don’t get pierogies down there, so it was a real treat. I got them just sauteed with butter and onions with sour cream on the side. They were perfect; slightly crispy and light pasta exterior, and the cheese filling was delicious. Their sour cream was also super good. actually tasted slightly sweet which was very yummmy. Drinks were also good– I got a tanqueray tonic and it was strong and well priced. Pierogies can often be overly heavy but theirs were just right. I ate the entire serving without feeling overly full. Looking forward to checking them out again!

The big draw for us is the deck overlooking tree shaded Wheeling Creek. We always get the Yuengling battered fish bites for apps. So far they have always been piping hot, crisp and not dripping with grease like some places serve up. The food it average. The one pizza we had there was quite bland. Good wings and the pierogies are tasty as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and the deck is a delight. Did I mention the deck(s)? Yep, they have two of them.

We stopped here only by the Unilocal review I had seen… so glad we did! Staff was very friendly… atmosphere was fun and laid back. and food/prices were wonderful!!! My boyfriend and I both had salads, they were HUGE and he loved the mesquite ranch dressing My mom got a sandwich… was chicken with portobello mushrooms… she said it was fantastic! We also had the jalapeño cheese balls for appetizer… They were very tasty and good for a starter! I wish it was a bit closer to where I live… would love to try more on the menu. I highly recommend for a casual summer night for drinks, food and chatting!

½ Rack of Rib dinner for $ 12– Can’t beat it. Also, excellent outdoor deck and beer prices are reasonable

Pierogis were amazing! Service was fast and friendly. The Guinness was watery so I sent it back. Really enjoyed sitting out on the deck. So glad we stopped here!

Stopped while traveling, decent selection of draught beers. Being a Wednesday, it was pierogi and wing night. Very enjoyable. I would return.

I chose Generations because eod close proximity to my hotel and I am glad I did. It might have been that I spent 8 hours in my car, the 30deg weather or the $ 1.50 pints but I was very impressed. The burger I ordered tasted great and I am a sucker for house made chips. It was cooked great and just the right size. Oh, and did I mention $ 1.50. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were great. I would definitely recommend this place and would be a repeat customer.

My staff and I had a great time eating lunch with organizers of the Wheeling Veterans Day 10K Run at Generations Restaurant and Pub. We loved the casual atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The food was absolutely incredible. I would recommend Generations’ award-winning wings or chili. I look forward to coming back to Generations next time I’m in Wheeling.

As good as it gets, the pizza rocked and a couple of IPA’s to wash it down not to be missed.

I’ve been coming to Generations since it was the swing club in the 90s(and before) and it may be different than what it used to be, but it’s still just as good, if not better. After 100 years the place has changed a lot, you walk around it and see pictures from all the generations that have run and grown up there, it’s nice to see such a great family feel to restaurant/bar. The place has nice country shows and draws crowds of all ages. In all, it’s a great piece of WV and wheeling history. When I visit from Texas I make sure to visit Generations along with the delicious Dicarlos and Coleman’s. The only thing I wish the bar had was some shiner bock and landshark other than that it’s one of the pillars of wheeling and I hope it lasts another 100 years!

TERRIBLE. Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Took an hour to get our food(salad), never had any refills and over 20 minutes to get a beer. We walked our glasses to the bar 2x just to get our water refilled.

Terrible service, overpriced Mother’s Day buffett with everything floating in butter. The bartenders are the worst. Zero customer service skills with major attitudes. Bartender attitudes are less than acceptable which totally bogus when you have folks who will tip good based on good service.

I couldnt stand this place!!! The only reason why we ate here is because we had a food voucher from the Wheeling nailers… ugh… rude employees and lackluster food. I felt really rushed to hurry and eat my food because it took them so long to get it to the table, and for the fact that we had to get to the nailers game by 730. The only good thing about this place was the selection of beers this pub has. If youre just going to drink here, then this is the place for you. otherwise, stay away…

Good pub food, sizable menu selection. Order the«4 Play» to start — wings, cheese stix, zucchini strips and fried ravioli. Great beer-battered french fries. Good burger, too. Probably one of the biggest beer selections in the Ohio Valley(not saying much.) 30ish bottles with a few craft brews mixed in. Not a big draft selection(only 6 I believe), but Yuengling and Great Lakes FTW. A few great speciality drinks, too — try the Green Monstah: Coconut Rum, banana liquer, melon liquer, Blue Curaco, pineapple juice, served in a big ol’ mug. One of the better bars in Wheeling.
