Before coming here, I used to go to another McDonalds 4−5x a week and my order was always hit or miss. It would be correct 50% of the time. I got tired of them guessing my order and decided to go to a different McDonalds and change my morning commute — and here I am. This McDonalds is even worse. Their order accuracy– actually they don’t have any order accuracy. I’d been going to this location for months — pretty much all summer and I think they only got my order right once and it was probably by sheer luck. I don’t have a complicated order — I only get coffee 99% of the time — very simple. I speak loudly and very clearly at the speaker and tell them exactly what I want. I always specified I want a hot latte. Hot was always the first word I used when placing my order followed by the size and flavor of the latte and whether I want whole milk, sugar etc. I always put emphasis on the hot. Even when they read it back to me and verifying my order on the order screen at the drive thru says hot, whenever I drove up to the pick up window I was always handed ice coffee. Time and time again. Going against my better judgment I kept going back — every time talking as clearly and loudly as I can, putting more emphasis on hot, repeating my order 5 times, holding up the line at the expense of all the drivers behind me getting anxious wondering what’s taking me so long and after repeating my order half a dozen times and them reading it back to me, I kept being handed ice coffee. It really boggles the mind — one time I took the ice coffee and dumped it in the trash because I couldn’t be bother wasting another 10 mins of my life waiting for them to get it right. That was the last time I went.(This was some time in mid-August) All the workers at the drive thru were very impersonal, not friendly, generally crabby/miserable, and stressed. One of the times I came here, right before I stopped ever coming back, I pulled up to the pick up window and right on que was handed my ice coffee, when I didn’t go to take it the girl had a dumbfounded look on her face and I told her I wanted a hot latte and that I never once said the word iced when placing my order. There was a manager/shift lead in a blue shirt and another worker and they all got into a spat and I could see the tension between them all. Definitely makes me question the stores management and the work environment. Makes me wonder if one of the employees purposely put in wrong orders, but I doubt it since it didn’t seem to matter who took my order, it was always wrong. Either way I could tell the staff did not get along. I’ve had no experience with the management because I don’t have faith that anything would get resolved and I would just rather go elsewhere. Made the switch to Dunkin Donuts — for the past 3 weeks and not a single problem.

I ordered a Chicken Bacon Salad today. The second one I ordered this week. I was terribly disappointed today. I called corporate and got the usual corporates brush off from an associated who could care less and acted as if I were just interrupting her time. i felt like I was interrupting an important personal telephone text she was involved in I then called at the restaurant level and spoke with the general manager who was helpful and friendly. She was aware that this mc Donald’s had some issues and that’s why she’s there to correct them. She thanked me for calling. She assured me that she would work with the staff as she had a good idea who was responsible for it. The grilled chicken portion that I received was a terribly small portion, hardly even any there. She said that there are two portion of grilled chicken that they get and it was obvious that I got size not intended for the salad. She was very understanding and helpful and is sending out replace end coupons. I had also asked for the tomatoes be put on on side as they were wrinkled and mushy last time I got them. When I got my salad today There were four shriveled tomatoes. One left in the salad and three that were just thrown in the bag. They were wrinkled and mushy today and tasted awful. Inedible. The sticker for the salad on the bottom said 24 hours ‚. Use thru: 9:16AM6⁄21. Being as today is 20th I don’t see how the the salad will be fresh tomorrow. It wasn’t fresh today.

Stopped by before 8:00 because my son was screaming for French Fries. While I ordered the Large Fries my wife had to clean the least dirty of the tables for us to sit while my son played in the playplace and ate his fries. We were in there 5 minutes when everyone in the playplace was asked to leave the area so they could clean. We relocated and yet had to clean another area to sit and eat. See the photos. Playplace closes at 9:00 pm this review is posted @8:15. I am a General Manager at a 3 Restaurant Franchise. This place needs to be inspected. Won’t be back. HELLOCORPORATE See photos

Slow service, good food though. My contact fell out which ruined the experience; however, the staff was more than polite and we received our food in a quick 15 minutes. Wow! Speedy gonzalez up in this or should I say everyone that works there. How racist that we dont have racial diversity in these wonderful slow establishments! Flame grub tho

Yep… it’s McDonald’s. The very essence of fast food. Cheap & greasy. This location has a pretty efficient drive through. I would like to see them do a better job of cleaning the kids play area.

I’m here now having breakfast with my kids. The food is okay with the exception that it’s dripping with grease. It get that it’s McDonald’s, but I’ve actually never had food from a McDonald’s that was literally dripping with grease. Would have been two starts but I knocked off a star because at least one of the managers is very clearly high as a kite and that is completely unacceptable in my book. I won’t be bringing my kids here again.

It’s a slow window here, but everyone working the window has always been friendly. I have never been inside, so I can’t comment on cleanliness. Aside from the wait times, it’s difficult to get to this location if you’re heading west on Lake Cook. Because of that I usually only stop here on my way to work, which is east bound.

Comments: Can’t give it half star or NOSTARS! Once again, the night crew at McDonald’s store 17893 are at it again…2 Big Mac meals were ice cold with old dry bread and salty cold beef patties. The fries were soggy and luke warm, the chicken nuggets tasted like they were sitting under the heater for at least 3 hours as they were not hot, crispy or fresh and tasted of old oil. What is it with the night crew? Do they dislike making fresh food? Or do they just like sending drive thru customers home feeling disappointed? Looks like I need to drive a bit further to find another store… can’t eat here again… the night crew just SUCKS! Sorry to say that about your employees, they serve cold unfresh food and that should NOT be acceptable to any manager. This is not the first time that I have experianced this with the night crew.

This is by far the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever visited. First off, how hard is it to make a vanilla latte correctly? My husband asked for four sugars and the girl responded, «four Splendas?». Uh, no, four sugars. Then she asked him whether he wanted sugar-free vanilla. If he didn’t want Splenda, why would he want sugar free anything? When he was handed his latte he asked about the sugar and the girl claimed they put it in there(this was at the drive-thru) but one sip revealed it wasn’t so we had to park so my husband could run in to get sugar. Seriously? You fail, McDonald’s employees. Good luck getting a job that requires more brain cells than just taking an order and fulfilling it properly. I don’t usually say such nasty things about people in the service industry but I don’t usually experience such clueless individuals who cannot complete a simple task after it being discussed no more than three times either! To add insult to injury, my egg & cheese McMuffin was made using«scrambled» eggs, if those were even real eggs. All I DO know is that I’ve NEVER had a McMuffin served that way. It’s always a real egg, not scrambled. The sandwich tasted terrible too and I couldn’t even finish it. I’m contemplating contacting corporate about this location and I suggest everyone avoid it like the plague. Visited: July 8, 2012

Um… it’s a McDonald’s… just like every other McDonald’s. I stop by here on my way to work sometimes when I am running late and did not have time to brew a pot of coffee before leaving. I love McDonald’s coffee and sometimes I even treat myself to an Egg McMuffin sandwich. The drive thru line can look a bit long in the mornings, but it moves pretty fast.

ok, since noone else will dish, i will. who’s bright idea was it to invent this third pounder burger. what a horrible mess. this burger is not only a copycat from denny’s burger(notice that distinctive shape)-ha! this burger is sloppy as hell. take a bite, you might as well wear it. worst of all, this dry brick of «meat» taste like a pure salt lick-please don’t even mention the old buns! stick to the good ol’ double cheese burger or the quarter pounder. but pleeaasse remind them to watch the damn salt!
