Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club is a membership driven store. If you’re in a hurry don’t come to Sam’s Club this store has an efficient customer service. But keep your receipt from here, just in case. The take home and heat foods, meatloaf & potatoes; chicken enchilada; really taste good.

This place has very rude service. The bathrooms are disgusting and the place is dirty. I was going to get a refund for my membership but i went to the Sams club in Des Plaines and its 100% better

Customer service in general is poor here. I walked around confused as hell and never got greeted, not once. The cashier just stared at me with her hand out when i first came up… I’ve never been here before, am i supposed to just know to give my card?
Other than service, it seemed clean enough and things were stocked. The food taste people were nice but they work for a different company so that’s probably why.

Poor customer service. Especially the tire service department. They are good when you make the purchase but not so good when you take it for the periodical maintenance such as tire rotation which they advertise when you make the purchase.

Wide variety of home goods and food. No need to explain since membership is needed to shop here. Reasonable clean for a warehouse atmosphere. Each SAMs carries different items figure I would check this location out.

Customer service and checkout is the problem here.
Staff is slow, the cash registers are slow, everything about people here slow and sloppy. Manager doesn’t care that the service is slow here.
Deals are mediocre but today you can get better deals next door at Walmart on the same stuff. Amazon too.
It’s not worth the wait.
The way this store operates is stuck in 1986 and not up with times.
They don’t accept apple pay even tho they sell apple products.
They don’t tell customers they only accept debit cards and discovery until after they take a full cart and run it through the register then if customer wants to pay with Visa, they have to run everything back through it to check it in. (Line killer) isn’t there a cancel all button?
I waited 1 hour in customer service to pickup an apple product. There was only 2 people in front of me and 3 people behind the counter. (This doesn’t make sense…)
I waited 20 minutes for 2 people at the checkout before I left without buying anything.
This happens consistently.
Still manager doesn’t care because I talked to him.
Suggestions:
1. Figure out a quicker way to check out.
2. Get a manager that can take feedback and cares.
3. Actually have better deals then other stores.

I am giving this sam’s club 4 stars simply because it is well stocked, has a good system where you can actually get a shopping cart, and it has a walmart right next to it. Literally when you come into this shopping center, it is Wally-​world 101.
I usually go to the vernon hills location, as it is closer to me, but this location has much more varieties and is bigger. On the weekends, you get those infomercial people here doing their product sales, which is kind of annoying, they flag you down and try to sell you products. You can simply ignore, I do try to listen but I never buy anything from them. I listen because I feel bad for them, but I do not buy because I am not gullible.
Also did not see a gas station here.

This is the 3^rd time I have ordered a cake from the bakery, and I cannot stop raving about how amazing they are. Without being able to come in and help plan, they made an AMAZING birthday cake for my son’s first birthday party (Star Wars theme), with a pop up picture in the center and rings for the kids around the sides! What a delight. And delicious. And a fraction of the cost of other bakeries in the area. Please order from their bakery; you will not be disappointed.

So sad you are dropping Big Shoulder Ribs. I only hope Costco picks them up

This is the place to go when you can’t make it to another Sam’s Club. The store is dirty, carts broken, low inventory, poor quality produce and service. The food court should say «Eat at your own RISK!!» …Other Sam’s Clubs are clean and well managed. I’m wish this one could get it together because it is close to my house and very convenient …

I love Sam’s– this location has very friendly people working there, great samples (gotta love them samples!), good selection, and good prices. We thought about switching to Costco at one point, but decided that the prices were about the same, the selection was just as good, and the people were a lot nicer. The only issue I have had is people get a lil rude and crazy over the samples… it’s a little sad and yet funny. Otherwise, Sam’s can really save you some money on every day items like toilet paper, bottled water, and paper towels.

My entire family shops at this location. It’s always fully stocked with everything we need, but sometimes they could use a few more cashiers to check out. I haven’t experienced the same issue with tey shopping carts, but sometimes we use they flat carts instead.
I really like the pizza and if you buy a full pizza from the store they will cook it for you up front and you can bring home fully cooked ready to eat! Dinner cooked and shopping done all at once!
Some times the prices are not always the cheapest, I especially notice it with their canned goods, they are never cheaper than other grocer’s and you are buying a big box of them.
Overall, we like shopping here.

REPLACE YOUR SHOPPING CARTS!!!
That is the one, most important piece of advice I can give the manager of this location. I shop for a family of five so my cart is usually (always) so full that it’s busting at the seams. Plus, I usually (always) have at least two children sitting in the child seats.
Every time I go to this Sam’s Club I get the cart that’s rickety, misaligned, and refuses to turn in one direction. I’m there often enough for this not to be a mere coincidence. I’m telling you it’s EVERY TIME!!!
Half way through most shopping trips, I am so tired from forcing this wobbly, unruly and disobedient cart around this mammoth store, I abandon the rest of my list and vow to stick to Costco, which has great, well maintained carts. I would say that Sam’s Club loses about $ 100 per shopping trip from me because of how unusable their carts are.
The only saving grace is that it’s REALLY close to my house. I’ll say it again, REPLACE YOUR CARTS!!! You’re losing money.
In terms of Costco vs. Sam’s Club:
**The meat is far better at Costco
**The produce is usually better at Costco
**The prices are better at Costco
**The carts are better at Costco :-)
**The employees are nicer and more courteous at Sam’s Club
**Membership fee is cheaper at Sam’s Club
**No annoying sales pitches at Sam’s Club
That’s the breakdown if you’re trying to decide which to join.
