Stopped by just because of the previous Unilocal reviews. Cupcakes were to die for. We really enjoyed the local coffee too. So nice to have a high quality bake shop in the neighborhood. I will recommend you take the drive. I think they were better than DC Cupcakes & Flavor Cupcakery. Can’t wait for another excuse to get more cupcakes! Yum yum Yummery!

I had a birthday cake made for my grandson and it was a hit! He loved it and it tasted as good as it looked! I get cupcakes here too all of the time for my grandchildren. Great company.

I was very happy with the birthday cake I ordered for My son’s 11^th Birthday. Christie (she’s spells her name wrong) was amazing. She was funny, kind, eccentric and just a pleasure to do business with. I went to 3 other local cake shops before deciding to use the Yummery. Her cake was not only affordable but delicious. Everyone loved it and several people asked for her business information. My only issue and it is not a reflection on the shop is that I was not specific enough on what I wanted the cake to look like. Though I was happy enough with the outcome, if I had been more specific, colors and designs would have been different. In all, my son had a killer birthday and he loved his cake. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will continue get specialty cakes there again

My family and I love getting specialty cakes here! Everything is delicious! The owner Christi is very attentive and has done a beautiful job on 2 specialty cakes for family members.

I never knew this place was here and I do now, and I am so glad I do. I stopped in here one afternoon a hair before closing time. If you work in restaurants, you know this is super annoying because you wanna leave. Christi, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. She wasn’t rushing me at all. They had a selection of cupcakes and other sweet treats on display. I came for the cupcakes. The carrot cake was so delicious. The cake was light, sweet, nutty and rasiny. Everything carrot cake should be. Oh, and the cream cheese icing on top, light, delicate and airy. Such a good combo. I got a few others, Reese cup, black bottom, and very vanilla. I like the cake she makes a lot, as well as the icing. However, I didn’t like that there was a mound of icing on top, it was a little bit too much. Also, some of the cupcakes were filled with chocolate or more icing, and it was just too sweet. I like a bit more cake taste than icing taste. I will definitely return for more carrot cake cupcakes and to try some others! Big fan!

Stopped in here on a whim while driving the back route back to the city. I’m basically obsessed with cupcakes, so this place lured me right in. It’s in a cute little group of stores, next to an antique store.
I tried out a few cupcakes, and they were all wonderful. A characteristic that spanned the lot was their light, whipped, fluffy icing– not too sweet. Definitely made with butter. The peanut butter dream cupcake was chocolate with light chocolate icing, and a center of light peanut butter filling. Unlike many other peanut butter cupcakes, the flavor did not overwhelm or make you too thirsty. It was mixed with something else that tempered the strong flavor a bit. Strawberry cupcake had strawberry jam in the inside. I think fresh strawberries or strawberry icing would have been better, as the jam was a bit saccharine and didn’t fit with the rest of the cupcake, but still good. Not like Georgetown cupcakes’ strawberry cupcake which makes everything else near it taste like strawberry.
My favorite was the caramel. This one I actually ate two days after buying it, and that it part of he reason I gave this place 5 stars– it held up so well I’m pretty sure it actually got better over those two days sitting on my counter. Not overwhelmingly caramelly, but a touch of flavor in the buttercream. I preferred the vanilla cake to the chocolate.
One issue was the fact that it was a warm day, and they didn’t have the cupcakes in a controlled environment (this day, at least; not sure if they have AC and it wasn’t turned on yet or what). So the icing was already soft, and being made of butter, it lasted about 5 minutes before the icing started slipping over a bit. So transporting them with the AC on is a must.
The owner was very friendly and said that they do custom cakes and specialized parties (including a kids party with a Frozen cake decorating theme). That sounded pretty awesome. Highly recommend!

Awesome little bakery. I bought my daughter a chocolate lovers cupcakes and of course I had to sample it, it’s one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. I got myself a butterfingers and mudslide bonbon and they were delicious to say the least.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I found it online and was able to communicate over email exactly what I wanted for my daughters second birthday cake. The owner went back and forth with me several times to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. And, they stayed late to allow me to do an after-​hours pick up after work. Five stars and more. Great customer service! Cake looks great too!

Really nice little bakery! Tasty food at a good price and really good coffee too! I had pumpkin muffins and blue berry muffins also the bagels are tasty. It’s worth checking out for sure.
