I wasn’t going to write this but feel I need to help others and the store itself. I started off by ordering a Caesar salad and a salad came with no Caesar dressing on it and with grilled chicken. Not what we ordered. When someone orders this type of salad the dressing should not be on the side unless we ask for it that way. We also received some really good garlic knots on the table. Unfortunately it came with ice cold tomato sauce. My wife ordered eggplant Parmesan and the eggplant was extremely oily and simply tasted like breadcrumbs. Our waitress was very young and nice but clearly inexperienced and had no idea how to wait on people. When we ordered simple dishes it look like she wrote a book. And when she brought the food she wasn’t sure who gets which dish. Doesn’t make sense when you write all that down and the place is totally empty. When we asked for cheese for our pasta it looked like they had to stop and make it. Basically, it felt like we were in a kitchen with people that are nice enough but don’t know how to cook or serve. We showed up on a Saturday night around 7:30PM and the place was totally empty except for one other couple. Shocking given White Plains locations are always so busy during this time of night. When we walked in to be seated the owners looked shocked. Unfortunately, I understand why. The old Nicky’s was a place to go to but the new one unfortunately is not. Seems like everyone knew that except for us. Unless the ownership hires a new chef and experienced waiters I advise you to stay away just like everyone else.

With the loss of Luca Bella, White Plains lost a reliable source if Italian and pizza. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and was not disappointed. Large slice, good sauce and nice mouthfeel. They use a bit too much cheese but it was OK. Looks like my new spot!

NEEDTOLOWERTHEIRPRICES. From the looks of things they have pizza that just sits out all day because nobody buys there pizza because of thet high price, I know that is why I have not purchased a slice yet. Good pizza but you have to pay, I want to get a slice but I like fresh pizza and especially if I have to pay high price I want it nice and fresh, not dried up looking pizza that been sitting out all day.

A judge I work with told me this place had better pizza than Brooklyn, «but you gotta get the Sicilian. YOUGOTTAGETTHESICILIAN! «He was very emphatic about that. So when I came to White Plains for work, I figured I gotta get the Sicilian. The place is big and clean, but surprisingly empty at lunch. The woman behind the counter was really nice and friendly. Their oven is unusual because it automatically turns the pizza so it cooks evenly. And the Sicilian? Twice as big a slice as I’m used to. The bottom was just the right kind of crispy, the sauce was on point, and the cheese was plentiful but not too much. I can’t say it was better than the best outta Brooklyn, but it was big and delicious.

came for a quick bite with my boyfriend on a Thursday around 6:30pm. we dined in and the place was empty except for us and an elderly couple. as we ate our food, I witnessed a worker blow his nose into a napkin and a short time after, handle food with his bare hands. he was next to a sink and never washed his hands. I will not be back. can’t trust anyone these days, especially when it comes to dining out and maintaining sanitary conditions.

I went there today after being tired from driving all day. The slice tasted absolutely awesome and was the best cheese pizza I’ve had in a while. The mixed green salad with chicken and Gorgonzola was also amazing. I hate when places ask me for specific details on every order and when I said I was thinking of a salad they recommended the mixed green with sesame ginger dressing. The dressing was soo good and I’m glad they told me to get it. The place itself was also very updated and clean and had nice bathrooms. The people were very nice!

They are reopening a few doors down from the original location. Nicky himself has confirmed this. I am looking forward to their sicilian and white slices. The sicilian was my favorite. A nice crisp bottom, and a pleasantly soft middle, topped with lots of cheese! It will be nice to see them again.

Best white pizza I’ve ever had! I moved from the area 18 years ago, but Nick used to ship them overnight to TX. When are they going to re-open???

I live around the corner from Nicky’s I used to get pizza since I was a 6th grader; I hope they re-open as soon as possible. I had to switch pizzerias I didn’t want to but when hunger came I need to. Now that Nicky’s isn’t opened I have throw my money to Famous Famiglia’s it’s EHH! But I just wish Nicky’s would open. They are the best of the best of the BEST!

Best Pizza I have ever had!!! I started going to this place when I was in middle school so that was 10 yrs ago and I have since moved to South Florida. I travel a lot to different states and countries and have yet to find anywhere that makes pizza’s as great as this place. Now mind u this was like 10 yrs ago so hopefully the pizza is still as great. But the fact that I can remember how amazing it was should say alot.

The food is good but the owner has a bad attitude. I was in the store the other day with my wife, and 2 children. I asked the owner to cut one of our slices in half because my 6 years old cannot hold a full slice in his hands. The young owner was having a bad day and yelled at me to cut it myself with the plastic knife and fork. I could not believe he would not cut the slice in half which takes all of 4 seconds. Another customer looked at him and asked what’s your problem man. he turned and was rude to that customer. Since I was with my family i did not want to raise a stink, but I’ll never spend a dollar in that store as long as I live. What a jerk

Check the price before you order because they are crooks. I went to sit down for lunch with two friends and the place was empty. The waiter who I think was a manager offered us to try his special homemade pitcher of sangria which we agreed to. i watched as he poured the sangria from a cheap box of wine and put it over ice. So much for homemade and the bill for three turned into $ 85 before tax and we realized he charged us almost $ 40 for the pitcher of sangria. Oh yeah the pizza sucked too.

Convenient location on Mamaroneck adjacent to O’Connor’s Bar, etc. You might feel a bit rushed when ordering and have to deal with a few groups of drunks inside. Not awful food, just not the best slice in White Plains — Italian Pavilion gets that award. Everyone has their own preference on pizza though. Note: Story posted below about how Nicky started this restaurant(as well as the cruise in the Caribbean) unconfirmed. There was a Rastafarian eating in the back booth though, so who knows…

Damn this is what NY pizza is all about. First off bring cash, no cards or checks. They seem pretty efficient and don’t waste time so know what you want when you get to the counter. They only had one size pizza which was like $ 12 or so for a cheese and $ 2 more for a topping or 2 for $ 20. The pizza was very big and even the slices were a good size. I was suprised that the slices were not excessively greasy. I folded a slice the long way to eat it and almost no oil dripped out. It is made with quality ingredients and it shows, quality, real cheese and there was a light amount of sauce. The sauce had very little chunks which is awesome! I saw a sign for Wednesday all-you-can-eat night and it sounded amazing, I would do some internal damage to myself if I was around for that! It was only like $ 5.xx. Its worth checking out, I really liked it!

$ 5.50 All you can eat pizza on Wednesdays, $ 7.50 All you can eat pasta on Thursdays I went to Nicky’s last night and participated in the all you can eat pizza deal. The regular and specialty slices were okay, the Sicilian was friggin delicious and they just keep bringing slices to your table! Better still, they let you box up anything that you don’t finish. So, I ate 4 slices for dinner last night and got to bring 3 slices home for lunch today, all for $ 5.50…That, my friends, is one hell of a deal!

Oh Nicky’s Pizzeria, how I miss thee… The fundamental deliciousness of a plain slice, the pleasing heft and distinct flavor of a Sicilian, and oh the superb-ness of a slice of white… But I can’t bypass mentioning the perfectly timeless chicken parm sandwich, the house mad salad dressing or the garlic bread with cheese and spaghetti with meatballs. (Great, now I’m hungry and drooling on my keyboard) Being able to enjoy a few meals at Nicky’s makes the lengthy and uninspiring trek back to White Plains worth it.
