Amazing out-of-the box breakfast burrito with poached eggs, house-made beans, rice. Very tasty. The blueberry scones and peanut butter oatmeal cookies were also truly surprising. Do not underestimate. We stocked up for our snowshoe trip with them!

I had a lovely breakfast here! What a great place to visit with friends, family, or enjoy people watching from the counter in the window. My friend and I had the pancakes, avo toast, veggie sausage, and the vegetarian biscuits and gravy. All of it was perfectly flavored and cooked! The avo toast had the most pillowy soft texture with the satisfying crunch of the crust. The pancakes had a hint of orange, while the biscuits were savory made with mushrooms and garlic. They have fresh juice that they make twice a day, and a wonderful selection of espresso options. The atmosphere is quiet and friendly, and it would seem that anyone passing through the front door becomes instantly satisfied by the pleasing demeanor of the staff, and the delectable scents coming from the kitchen. ENJOY!!!

Today: A big Jicama salad with a poached egg on top. If you want great fresh healthy food, this place rocks! I eat here all the time — smoked salmon wrap with honey-lime chipotle is my favorite lunch. The Avo toast on local mayor Dave’s rye is awesome. Smoothies, Omlettes, biscuits & gravy(veggie too), all great. The local white salmon hang out, plus Monday night open mic!

Friendly staff, good quality fresh food, excellent coffee from Hood River, lots of vegetarian options. Free wifi. Delicious. Service was not lightening fast, but the food is cooked to order and worth the wait.

Pleasant staff, nice location. Order and pay immediately at front(as a result, when you wish to leave because it has taken too long, they already have your money). You then wait. And wait. For your name to be called from the back: Pick up your own food and flatware(they had forks and spoons, but no knives), and bus your own table. I wanted to like it: But it took 45 minutes to serve our breakfast, which was not… too… bad. The biscuits were fresh, hot and too dry. One of us got a pat of butter, the other did not. No jam, no honey. My omlette had the advertised ingredients: Mushrooms, onions, cheese, jalapeños. But I did expect the jalapeños to be stove hot, and not pickled. What they served, while technically edible, was less than pleasant. My companion’s eggs, ordered over easy were served over hard. They either didn’t have plain green tea or they just arbitrarily chose to serve me something frou-frou. Either way, I was disappointed. The plates had a tiny slice of apple and a tiny slice of orange, sprinkled w/cinnamon. I guess that’s better than a sprig of parsley The bacon was good. I saw no sign of anybody actually cleaning or sanitizing the table tops. I swept ours with a napkin, but that’s really not enough. When I went to bus our table, there were bins labeled for cups and for silverware, but nothing for plates. The extraordinarily slow kitchen was apparently staffed with two cooks and a helper who seemed to be able to get about two or three plates out every 10 or 15 minutes. I think they were cooking for one table at a time, and maybe going out to fetch more eggs each time. I felt sorry for the staff who were obviously in over their heads, but not as sorry as I felt for the customers. A person who I took to be the owner or manager wandered in, talked to the staff and left again, taking with him the last shreds of my patience. The chairs which seemed ordinary when we arrived were very uncomfortable by the time we left. We recommend one of the other places in White Salmon. Any of them.

Awesome little café in the heart of White Salmon. Good food and drinks. Great for breakfast, full menu of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and bagels. My garden omelette was indeed full of veggies from the garden. Awesome atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. We took a group of 12 on Sunday morning at 10 and had no problem.

The avo toast was simple but tasty and the breakfast burrito did not disappoint. I also liked that they had gluten free options. Definitely don’t miss out on the cappuccinos. Great!

$ 8 smoothie = 100% fruit. Sunny day = great sidewalk seating and a glimpse of Mt Hood. Couch and bookshelf in the back = handy for squirmy kiddo.

We came for breakfast 9:30 a.m. on a weekday so plenty of seating. Not a large choice on the menu during the week but EXCELLENT healthy food! Very cool employees – helpful and friendly. We had a chai and mocha and they both rocked! Fresh pastry. Comfortable, cozy atmosphere and clean. Nice kick back place to leisurely hang out. Wi-Fi!

Was visiting in Hood River and stopped at this shop for breakfast. INCREDIBLE. The atmosphere and staff are wonderful and the food was great! Everything is made in house, great pastries and omelettes. Coffee is amazing as well! Highly recommend the honey lavender latte :) if you’re in the area I really recommend it!

I had the freshly made juice(after a sample convinced me I would like it) and was not disappointed! They make them in house and serve them out of reusable ball canning jars. :-) I didn’t have any food, but next time I’m in white salmon I will have to go back and try it out. It’s definitely not on the cheap side, but the quality is great!

Go for the food, keep coming back for the coffee. This guy Tate makes the best latte and macchiato you might ever have. They have a friendly atmosphere and make some amazing pancakes, great veggie breakfast burritos(even though I’m not vegetarian myself) and more! If you want an exceptional culinary experience in a small town, you must stop here… Especially if Tate is making the coffee.

After being in White Salmon for a wedding, we needed some good coffee in the morning. Lucky for us, North Shore Café was on this side of the river. Talk about convenient! The service was superb, though. Super friendly! The coffee was pretty good. It was cold brew made from concentrate, and a little on the light side, but it got the job done.

Great daily coffee and light breakfast place. Good food, friendly and fast service, affordable prices. Their juices are great too. Don’t miss open mic night on Wednesdays for some community flavor and great local musical talent.

Best coffee on the north shore! This crew really knows how to serve perfect lattes and smooth drips. I love their breakfast burritos too– in and out super fast. Best part is all the food is made fresh– no grease bombs here. Still working through their menu, haven’t missed yet.

Was OK. I had chosen the place due to the obvious vegan menu items on the website. However, they didn’t carry the fruit bowl advertisted on the website. And my vegan breakfast burrito helpfully came with an egg in it. The burritto got remade, but it wasn’t that great. Not real impressed. Go across the bridge to Hood River for your breakfast.

Had breakfast here last weekend. Options aren’t exactly plentiful in White Salmon, but this was a nice find. Offers up healthy breakfast options that satisfy both vegan and carnivore desires that will fuel a day of adventure in the Gorge. Pleasant service too!
