Lucky Kat Tat

I’ve been getting tattooed here for over 5 years now, and love it. I have had just about everyone in the shop do one, or multiple pieces on me, and have had nothing she it of satisfying visits each session. I would sincerely recommend Felix for anything, especially if it’s traditional. He constantly is phenomenal, and always surprises with how awesome his work is. The owner, Cesar is great at realism, and does fantastic portraits!

Have been looking for 7years to start my memorial sleeve I wanted to make sure I could find someone who would rock my dad’s portrait. I was introduced to Cesar by a coworker. I looked at his work and instantly made an appointment. It took about 4 months to get in but well worth the wait. Tattoos are forever and if your artist has a few month wait list you know he is good. The picture I am posting was our first session, still have lots to do but I am so happy with the outcome I wanted to share.

My 2 best friends and I were looking at getting «live, laugh, love» tatted on our feet. We made an appointment at a dif shop in the area and were told we had a 2 he wait time as the guy was running behind. We were so upset we didn’t get to get our tats done. We were then told Cesar at Lucky Kat would be the best to do our ink. We looked at his work and were super impressed. We went to the shop to book our appointment. When we got there, we were told that Cesar mainly did big pieces of art only. We were kinda bummed out as we really wanted him to do the tattoos. However since it was 3 of us plus 1 more in our group (getting a completely dif tat) he booked us with him after all! When we finally got to our appointment, we were indecisive as to the details and the lettering design we wanted. Cesar was so patient with us and kept readjusting the design as we went along. It literally took longer to finalize what we wanted then it took him to ink us! We love our tats!

I started out my tat history in in Mt. Vernon in the 80’s — Big Al and Company were «Who» you went to. I have been through a couple of different states but also have had a lot of work done by many in this area. Ken blows these local artists away — IN EVERY WAY! He’s such an awesome artist — if he has an idea, trust him, because he always So right on! Ken listens to you — you will get what you want — I have never regretted trusting his judgement. Ken has a soft touch but packs a big punch. His lines are never janked up (he does writing amazingly perfect). He recently did a Scooby Doo for me and there is not one scratch of a line out of place! Ken’s free hand artistry is his best trait… He can truly draw! He’s got a cool store on Central Ave. and his staff are really nice. I have overheard Dre (sp) show a lot of integrity during a consult, which you don’t always see in this business. Ken just added a full time piercer — YAY! Ken’s prices are amazing — He will give you twice the time and tattoo and he rivals these overpriced parlors! Check him out, he is one of the best in the area! (30+ tattoos and I am working on my 5^th with Ken!)

I never had a tattoo before but saw the work of lucky kat on one of my sons friends and it was incredible detail. So… my best friends daughter in law booked an appointment for us to get tattoos. We went yesterday and Jennifer’s tattoo was much more involved than mine, and hers is absolutely beautiful and exactly what she wanted. Mine is in my own handwriting on the inside of my forearm between elbow and wrist. I absolutely LOVE it. The shop is incredibly clean and well maintained. Actually it is pristine. Felix did our tattoos and i would recommend him for his work. Since i never had a tattoo before he thoroughly explained the process and said we would be done in no time.
And we were. In fact we are making plans to go back for some additional work (I am adding a small red heart to mine) I would recommend Lucky Kat to anyone considering getting a tattoo and would also recommend asking for Felix if he is available. :)

I have been getting tattoos from Lucky Kat Tat even before it was a shop! I trust no other place. I live in the Chicago area and do make the trip to whiting Indiana for my tats. The artistic talent from each artist in the shop is «off the wall». I’m amazed by each artist’s skill. Each person has their own personality in their art. They are able to transform any design you bring them into something unique. No 2 tattoos are the same. The shop itself is a comfortable atmosphere. You can play chess, watch TV, play some video games even while you wait. You really feel like part of the family!
I personally have had all 8 of my tattoos done by Cesar (the owner), a great personality and brilliant individual. I trust no other! I would recommend no other place for the rest of my life.
