This restaurant is pretty much a place to which I would not return unless I had to. My grandmother decided that it would be a good spot for our annual two-family-birthdays-at-once dinner, despite them having served her not-warm-enough potatoes there twice. The bread served before the meal was solidly«meh.» The rolls tasted like they came from a subpar supermarket bakery, and the cornbread tasted vaguely fishy. I wish I was joking, but that’s the flavor that they suggested to me. The appetizers were good. We ordered a variety platter, which included tasty onion rings and nice mozzarella wedges… my father didn’t think that the buffalo wings were hot enough, but that’s par for the course with him. Everyone else seemed to like their meals well enough– three of our party got the prime rib, my sister got a steak, and my father got some steak-and-chicken combo that looked like it was hardly enough to fill him up. Most of them finished their meals. I, however, did not. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it was… disappointing. The chicken was cooked relatively well, but the pasta didn’t seem to have been drained– the sauce that sat atop it was fine in consistency, but the sauce that had seeped down into the pasta was thin and watery. I took most of it home, but I’m not sure whether or not I’ll finish it. The corner in which we sat was rather warm, and our waitress was polite, but nothing to write home about. I’d rather go to a smaller family restaurant or a bigger chain for my meals. All in all, it bored me.
