Firstly, nothing short of great service. The restaurant was clean, organized, and the food is amazing. Great place to bring the family. Not too quiet, or too loud. The ice cream is a bonus.

I was craving some good BBQ on a sunday. This location opened near our home about a year ago. We thought we’d give it a try. Good sign, the line was long! So instead of waiting in line I ordered online, grabbed a free ice cream cone and waited for our meal. I had ordered the 3 meat meal with 2 sides. My order was ready pretty close to the time it stated on my request(I’m glad I did that instead of waiting in line because I got my food before the people we were behind) When we got our order I notice I had only gotten 2 out of the 3 meat meal. When I asked they said oh were out of brisket. Um well ok so maybe I can get another meat in lieu of the brisket? Ultimately it was crazy busy. One of the reasons, kids eat free on Sundays. BBQ isn’t bad but this is a chain restaurant that employees teenagers whom aren’t BBQ masters. But if I’m in the mood and in a hurry yes I would come back.

Having lived in Dallas and walking to Dickies downtown for lunch frequently, I was willing to give this location the benefit of the dought. No dought left. Thus location has the worst possible employees. Rude and incompetent. They ignore the customers and burn the food. But hey, they have free ice cream.

Some of the best BBQ me and my gf have had. Ordered the pulled pork and ribs with some brisket and it was just too good to say in words. You have to try it for yourself. My gf totally loved this place, plus she loved the idea of getting free cream every time we go !

I really feel that this has to be the most delicious country brisket pulled pork and ribs that I’ve ever had in California. There are many places out of state that are rare to find good food which is why they are out of state then country states. This is a very rare finding hole in the wall was very very delicious. I would definitely come back many many many more times. The service was great I was also given an idea of which beer to have with my food to bring out the flavor of the meat and it was definitely on point. Choooooonch!!!

My husband and I were so excited to try this place since it had such great reviews. Well we were very very disappointed. First of all we ordered online which was easy and fast. When my husband got there to pick up the food it wasn’t ready and he had to wait an additional 25 minutes. When he got home the food was completely cold(we only live 10 minutes away) and the whole order was wrong. All 3 bakers were the same and none of them were the ones we ordered. We also ordered 2 pulled pork tacos which were tiny. There was more tortilla than meat. The pulled pork was good enough but there was hardly any of it and it was extremely dry. We also ordered some ribs, those were pretty good except for the fact that they were cold. Bottom line, I will not go back, especially for the price. Much too expensive for such a disappointing meal.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh, my first time here was kind of sad. A few important things were wrong with my order and the quality of the meat was suspect. The speed was fantastic even though it was dinner time. The workers were nice enough but seemed frazzled, which probably led to the mistakes. One important thing to note is this is BBQ and it does run out, so get there early! I ordered the family meal which comes with 1 lb of two different meats, 6 rolls, and 3 sides. There was only ½ lb of hot links left so I asked for that + ½ lb of the polish sausage. Instead, I got ½ of hot links and ½ of cheddar sausage. Hot links were tasty but standard, didn’t seem to be smoked or anything. Cheddar sausage was greasy and mushy from all the cheese, it was not my cup of tea. Rolls were good. Potato salad tasted good but was drowning in liquid. If you warmed it up and served it in a bowl, it could have been called potato dill soup. The barbecue beans were okay, no complaints there. Waffle iron fries were… missing. Didn’t make it into my bag. I think it was due to confusion over splitting the sausage so I ended up with 1 more box than expected, so they figured that was the fries. Will remember to pay close attention next time. And now, a mini-rant that does not affect my rating but still needs to be said. When you are a customer and when the sign says ORDERHERE and LINEFORMSHERE and when someone is standing wherever«here» is, you’re supposed stand behind that person already standing there. A line is two or more people standing in sequence so they can be served in the order in which they arrived, not a cluster of people rushing the register and trying to be seen first like some kind of dive bar at last call. So when someone is already waiting and you arrive, you are supposed to get in line behind them. They got there before you and therefore have the privilege of ordering before you. You are not a special snowflake, your slow waddle from the parking lot does not entitle you to food first, you are a normal human being and you will stand in line like a normal human being.

Pretty disappointing. Wanted to check it out before Dickies in Downey opens up. Can safely say I will skip it. Dry ribs, dry brisket, and even dry sausage. Dry bbq for 32 $ and then they want you to tip, lol. It could be great, but dry meat is never a good thing. Only plus is the service. No complaints, they are really nice.

I’m a regular at Dickeys BBQ, and generally their pulled pork sandwiches are amazing. Today however, the sandwich contained half fat. Normally I don’t mind a lil fat but to have an excessive amount today was unusual. I am hoping that it was just a bad day today and not the new norm. I will be back soon because I do love Dickies BBQ!!!

Pretty good BBQ place great prices a 3 item combo is $ 13 and change comes with two sides and a bread the brisket is nice and tender great smoke flavor this place beats Chris and pitts which seems like they don’t care about their food shock is often over cooked and dry.

When you’re out with your friends, in your new Mercedes-Benz, and you’re awesome! Yes! Out with the gang? Craving BBQ but don’t want to pay $$$ or wait 2 hours at Lucille’s? This is the place to go! Small location but great food! I ordered the pulled pork one meat plate with waffle fries and BBQ beans and it was great!(a lot cheaper than if you were to go to a BBQ restaurant) Also, there is FREE ice cream! Yes, free ice cream. After you are finished grubbing on BBQ ribs, sausage, pork, or one of them big beefy sandwiches you best bet you are going to have to make room for some ice cream on a cone! There is a little station to grab different sauces depending on how you like your BBQ. So, you are all going to get together and go, shopping!!! Because you are going to be so full that you may want to go walk around for a bit, remember, just a bit…

My first time here. Very good! My fiancé and i shared the westerner with a side of bbq beans and baked patoto casserole. So good!!! The bits of bacon inside the mashed potatoes made my tastebud jump for joy! We had a mixyure of brisket and pulled pork on the sandwich. Next time I’d do double brisket and skip the onion. The customer service is right up there with the food. Everyone is super sweet and helpful. All in all, great experience! Oh and you get a free ice cream cone.

Definitely a fan of Dickeys! I have had one next to work for a while and finally I tried that one and loved it. Saw this location building and got excited! My fam had never tried it so we decided to dine in. I like the décor inside giving you that bbq feel. Lights are dimmed low which is nice too. Staff was very friendly helping us. I love the food. I normally get the pork sandwich which comes on this soft white bun. The bun is the best part. Then I add a ton of bbq sauce, that’s just how I like it! They have 3 sauces: spicy, regular, and a sweet. The regular is my favortie. Their sides are delish! Love the mac n cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. I’ve tried a good amount of the listed sides and you really can’t go wrong. Love that their ice is crushed ice! Everyone gets their free soft serve ice cream. Sundays kids eat free. Great place to grab lunch or dinner!

I had high hopes for Dickey’s. The staff is great. The food, not so much. Came by with the hubby in search of some solid bbq — which, it appears, is about as hard to find as rain in SoCal. SIGH. Anyhow, hubby got a pulled pork sandwich and I got the 3 meat platter w/two sides cuz I’m greedy like that AND I want to try as much as I can in one shot. It’s all strategic. I got the pulled pork, brisket, and the slow smoked turkey with the mac & cheese and Cesar salad as my two sides. Mac & cheese was a huge disappointment — it was no different than what comes out of a damn box. The salad wasn’t anything spectacular either, but you can’t have high expectations for salad at a bbq joint. Ok, on to the meat. The pulled pork was moist and tender, but bland. Sauce is mandatory if you want some flavor. The brisket was D R Y. I doused it with sauce just for moisture. I have never had brisket that dry. Even the fatty parts were dry. No bueno. The turkey was the star of the plate. It was moist and oh so flavorful. No sauce needed, whatsoever. I highly recommend the turkey. Overall, it was meh. The hunt for good bbq in SoCal continues…
