I ordered a salad 2 weeks ago and didn’t get the salad dressing I requested. I ordered one tonight and did receive the salad dressing but no chicken.

I don’t know why I still go here… Probably because it’s close to my sons school. This is supposed to be an Ultimate ckn tostada that I was going to share… HOW? You pay for an ultimate to get double the chicken… Obviously, it’s not.

They got my order wrong. I said no Pico de Gallo on my pollo bowl. Went home and of course it was on it, plus it was extra hot! Called them back too complain they offered to give me another one. I sent my room mate and of course like a man he didn’t check either. When he got home, I was so mad, it just ruined my appetite. These people that work there have no brains.

I love coming to this location. I always stick to the drive-thru, so this review is based on the service I get there. It’s usually always the same person. Her name is Emile and she’s awesome! She’s always very nice and respectful. The food is good and so regardless of the service I’d probably go back, but Emile makes each visit even better. Definitely recommend this location if you’re in the mood for some pollo loco.

Like many fast food chains, the menu items are prepared to specification and therefore taste the same from visit to visit. My complaint is how long it takes to go through the drive-thru. I get that it’s busy because people view this as a healthier option than Mickey D’s or BKs or Jacks… and I’m sure cooking chicken takes longer than a burger. HOWEVER… when I order and it takes me 10 minutes to get up to the pay window, why am I waiting an additional 5 minutes to get my food? What the hell were you doing after I ordered? This isn’t a one-time complaint. I seriously think it would be faster to park, go in, and order to go. Something needs to change.

Just came in for lunch and ordered meals for 7 people. As I ordered the the cashier in a rude way stopes my order to check if they even had enough legs to fulfill my order. I was shocked — you mean you don’t have enough chicken? I spoke to manager about it and her attitude was worst. She said they were saving those legs for larger chicken orders and dismissed me. Offered no solution and so we had to leave and they didn’t care and pretty much showed their annoyance for us. I never have been treated like this before in this pollo loco. I have been going there for years. The staff and managers are great during the weekdays Usually we don’t go on weekends but Usually weekdays and the manager and drive thru lady Ingrid are wonderful. Sad to see this type of service and lack of care. Really you don’t have enough chicken grilled? Just want to make you aware of this. Thank you

I give up on this place… it is a shame when employees are the reason for a low rating… food is as expected, but they never fail to screw up my order. Not once, but on multiple occasions. Missing shrimp tacos, chicken burrito instead of shrimp, and even when I tell them exactly how many red salsa vs green salsa to give me, they manage to mess that up as well. Spoke to them several times about the issue, but they cannot seem to be able to fix it.

Very slow service no matter what time of day. Food is what you expect but the service is painfully slow.

Very unprofessional staff. Especially one worker, Vanessa. She was slamming chairs, screaming from across of the dining area to her other co workers. The manager needs to put these girls on check.

It’s Pollo Loco. The food is pretty much the same as every other Pollo Loco you go to. Unfortunately, this place is notorious for making mistakes. The only reason why I come here is because it is, literally, down the street from where I live. I have just made it a habit of triple checking my food when I come here.

If you want something inexpensive and good quality«fast food» this El Pollo Loco does it right. They have a mean quesadilla that blows Taco Bell’s crunchwrap out of the water. I’ll never eat at a Taco Bell again! El Pollo Loco had what I need.

The drive through staff is always friendly and polite. They are fast and always very helpful. Great service from a drive through is hard to find! The place looks clean inside with competent staff.

Well my review for the this place over a year ago was five stars but now the service is blahh… The food that I usually receive is pretty hot, it’s usually fresh, and I guess it’s reasonably priced being how it’s a chicken place… The reason I gave it a three star rating and not any higher is the customer service here sucks!!! They don’t smile and they don’t thank you for your service. How is it you keep them in business but they treat you like YOU are being given a favor… This is one of the only places that gets under my skin… I guess they’re usually having bad/busy days and they«forget» to smile and look pretty… But this is a regular thing here, the nice workers are usually on the weekends. Hopefully they take these reviews serious and start making arrangements… –___–

The idiot in training gave me the wrong salad. Chicken tasted like the grill. Overall a shitty El Pollo Loco. Plus it is extremly hard to get in and out of the way its positioned. Don’t eat here.

Just came home from el pollo loco. The drive thru was ridiculous as always so we went in to order. Simplest order ever: 3BRC burritos. What did we come home with? 2BRC burritos and one tortilla with rice. Horrible customer service to have 6 people working and get a simple order wrong. I’m sick of this poorly managed place.

I have to say that every El pollo Loco is almost about the same except customer service I think this place needs a lot more of smiles and you’re welcomes! I think they are big time lacking in the customer service department. The cashier Vanessa with the tattoos all over her and she’s gotta go and maybe work for a tattoo parlor shop or something.

Disgusting! ROACHES! STAYAWAY! We just left after my daughter and I were sitting in a bit and out crawls a roach on the wall. My daughter screamed and I git up the all our food away and left. Staff was too busy to be bothered. Never again and will definitely spread the word about this.

They don’t know how to make any of their burritos. My chicken avocado burrito was a complete mess. Salsa bar was a mess too, restroom filthy.

I love Americanized Mexican Chicken BBQ. Been a fan since the original Montebello location opened(Whittier & Mtb blvd) opened back in «82»? Of course that was not the first location but glad it came to our town. IMHO Great food for the cost. Keep it up!

I wouldn’t say I’m a fast food junkie. I don’t like fast food in general. But I’m a sucker for El Pollo Loco chicken. They don’t use MSG! El Pollo Loco is a healthy alternative to a lot of fast food out there, actually. Lately I’ve been eating the chicken without the skin, for the sake of my health, but I do usually like to wrap the skin in a flour tortilla to eat along with the chicken and rice… Mmmm! They serve tostadas and salads, lighter fare than the burritos and fried stuff. They’ve made adjustments after having to post the caloric values of each item they sell. For instance, they’re not serving Foster’s Freeze ice cream anymore. :( I usually use the drive-thru. It gets busy from 6−7PM, dinnertime rush. I’ve had trouble just two times in my memory with the drive-thru, just getting my order slightly mixed up. Not a big deal.
