Service is AWESOME! Food is great. Atmosphere is always amazing. Surounded by Elvis, James Dean and the vintage jukeboxes on the tables.

This is your typical American diner with food prepaired by cooks and not by fancy chefs. It’s not about being trendy, it’s just about traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner. So come here to get the basics. You won’t find kale here! But I did order my omelette with egg whites, shhhh.

We used to come here all the time. It’s really gone downhill. There was no one even in the restaurant and we sat for almost 10 minutes before someone came by to get our order. Ordered a hot fudge sundae and popcorn chicken. The lady that brought out the sundae(not our waitress) basically tossed it on the table and into my husband’s beer. The spoons were so filthy and not with fudge or ice cream. Then the popcorn chicken came out with extra napkins and the napkins were covered in sauce. Because of course the tray holding the chicken was covered in sauce. Why wouldn’t it be? Just gross.

Forgettable, do not waste your money! Food was bland, small servings. I ordered 3 entrees 2 of them were screwed up(onions, which I hate were added! Uggggg). I ordered an omelette with egg whites & they added full eggs. The server apologized & did not make an adjustment to the bill. However I told the manager how I felt & he made an adjustment to the bill which was fair The restaurant is very clean, has televisions. Parking is tight, be patient

Don’t call in your order for pick up and request extra ranch or any kind of sauce because you won’t get it. If you do ask for it be sure to check all your bags for it they will lie to you and tell you it’s there but it won’t be so be sure to open all your bags and containers to make sure all your condiments are there. And make sure you ask for utensils as well they don’t just give them to you without asking for them

I remember coming here as a teen twenty or so years ago and it’s just sad how depressing the food has become. I don’t know if the quality has gone down over the years, or if I just grew up and my pallet has changed. In any case, Rocky needs a new chef, focus on fresh ingredients, and specialize in delicious burgers and other American café comfort food. The space has potential, but the quality of the food really drags everything down. I hope they realize this before the place shuts for good. That would be a travesty for the uptown community.

Vintage venue with 60’s kind of theme! This spot has been around forever but I can’t give them a 5 star review because my service is not always 100% sastifaction. It’s like is a HITORMISS. I’m unfortanetely not always a lucky customer. Let me tell you, I’ve been to this spot over 30 times since I’ve lived in Whittier for 18 years. Majority of the time they perform great but the few bad exoeriences I had were because of the cooks and it honestly could of been prevented Sometimes I’ll get FRESH food while other days, my fries will taste dry and my burger patty is luke warm. The cooks need to be consitent and make sure that they’re always serving FRESHPRODUCT. not just sometimes but ALWAYS. They know better not to re-fry food back in the oil/fryer because it just comes out dryer and it’s hard to chew on french fries that taste OLD. I can tell when my food is re-fryed. But their desserts are worth it. They hook it up with the ice cream and it’s non-expensive. Ordered a banana split and fell in love at first bite. Sometimes it’s only one waiter working the restaurant but they pull it off and are still attentive to customers.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the service. I’ve been there twice for lunch both on Tuesdays with my 4 year old daughter and both times I was charged for her lunch. Looking at the kids menu it said if you buy an adult entrée the child’s meal is free. But both times I had to remind the waitress about the charge and she apologized and removed the charge. It seems to me they do this on purpose to see if people would catch the charge. First time it happened I thought it was a simple mistake but when it happened a second time I knew what they were doing.

Idk about this place. It’s like I want to like it so bad, but it just couldn’t. It’s like a neglected ruby’s in the middle of Arkansas. The server seemed irritated with everyone, the food was meh… I just don’t know how to feel. my best friend said«the bacon is off the chain»…so I guess that’s a good thing… ALSOOOOOO the bathroom doesn’t even have a toilet paper holder!!! What kind of doohickey ish is that!!!

The food is good French Dip to be a little bigger the country fried steak is a good size the chicken sandwich a little dry. Philly cheesesteak good size and seems tasty great. Are waitress dawn could be a little better I’m sorry to say a little fake on her way of being happy and customer service. She seems a bit rude in a nice way. The management is great very attentive.

Christina was our waitress. I hope the owners are aware of what a goldmine she is. I don’t remember the last time I got such service anywhere. It was as though she anticipated our every need before we had to even ask for it. All the way down to the care she took when she buttered toast. She was wonderful. And although the café seems a bit run down — the food and the servers MORE than make up for it. I anticipated a «good meal with OK service» when we walked it — what we got was a «GREATMEALWITHMORETHANGREATSERVICE»… And the price was more than fair as well. Christina is the 5 stars — it would’ve been a ¾ without her. I will be back again when I’m in town. Mmmmm

This place was ok. We went on a weeknight because we realized that we didn’t have anything in the pantry to make dinner and thought this place would be nice. It was filled with teenagers, though thankfully not too loud. Our food took a long time to come out. They told us 20 mins later that they were out of the sweet potato fries that my husband had ordered… after we were already too excited for them. So he just got regular fries instead. We assumed this place would be pretty cheap by the looks of the outside, but we definitely paid too much for what we got. We probably won’t be going here again, especially with the abundance of amazing food surrounding this place. Sorry.

Why would you put Parmesan cheese on fried zucchini? Gross. They took forever to bring us our bill, it’s like they didn’t want us to leave. Haha Nothing on their menu looked appealing. So sad.

I have been here a total of three times and each time I loved their food. The sandwich meals are what I usually have. The sandwich meals I have had are the chicken marinara motezerella, pastrami melt, and recently the Philly cheese steak. The sides can either be french fries, onion rings, zucchini, or sweet potato fries. Their desserts look really tasty but I have not had any yet. On the negative note the service could be faster and more attentive.

It’s a nice cozy place and the décor is probably the best aspect of the restaurant. The waitress isn’t very attentive and seems to not really want to be there. I can understand moods but both times I’ve been there the attitude has been the same. The food is pretty standard nothing too must have. The vanilla coke however is my favorite. The only reason I gave one star is because I looked at my bank statement and the waitress gave herself a bigger tip then what I wrote down. I had already tipped more then 15% and the service was sub par. Tl;dr Don’t write your tips on the bill if you go here! Cross out the section and leave a cash tip or they’ll charge what they feel like for a tip

Everyone is complaining that this isn’t what it used to be. That might be true, but I am a recent visitor do I am not let down that easy. It’s typical café-diner food. A step up from Denny’s but not one of the«greats». There was literally a lady sitting with her kids across from me complaining VERY loudly about the food and cleanliness. Maybe it wasn’t up to par, but she was being rude. For that alone, I feel bad for the place. Service did take about 20 min which is not bad for an Easter weekend. I love the tableside jukeboxes and neon signage. Lottery machine takes you out of the time period, but there is only so much you can do. Rent is not cheap in Uptown.

Food is simply horrible. Now service is truly slow but only a older woman stood out of everyone in this joint. As we arrived to a almost empty restaurant we were greated by a young lady that seemed she was shy and still in high school, simply a person that doesn’t know how to greet at all. Once seated we were given one set of untensils until we asked for another once our meal arrived. Upon getting our menus we were not asked if we wanted waters or anything until the older women actually approached and asked if we needed anything. After a few minutes the same server asked if we were ready, menu is about 6 sheets deep with mini printing and a additiinal«special» menu. Went with the fish & chips but opted for onion rings, this was a very sad plate. Cole Slaw was store bought from a generic brand and probably costco or smart & final, I don’t mind cole slow from a store but at least get a better brand. Tartar sauce was the same, hardly touched both. Onion Rings were just ok, have had better, the fish was decent but all I could was finish my meal and never ever return to this place. When you mention restaurant rescue you actually feel that someone in the back should be let go or serve a better product. Restaurant has a diner feel with table jukebox, I think the greatest draw is the lotto machine as you walk in. Good luck Rocky Cola I see that your future is rocky and the cola seems flat.
