Good stuff Delicious burgers, good popcorn chicken, good bowls, has brown rice, reasonable prices.

I was around Whittier for a new job orientation and thankfully I found this spot for some good teriyaki bowls. The location is 2 story but I haven’t ventured upstairs since I’m too lazy ;) I first ordered a beef/chicken bowl with avocado and it was so good! The cashier was also friendly and the service was quite fast.

Really good food, brown rice is always cooked perfectly. Very filling and healthy. Don’t call orders in for pick up, the teenage girls they have working there are rude and will keep you on hold for 5+ minutes without coming back to the phone and checking with you. They only have 1 line so if you hang up, you’re going to get a busy tone for a while until they figure it out. Their excuse is «customers in the store come first» which is true but tell your customers not to call in their orders then! The food is worth the poor customer service.

Super clutch for the late night not so bad kind of meal. I love their #1 and am always down for their popcorn chicken. Ask for an extra side of the orange sauce and bam! The only complaint I have is that they are stingy with the take home sriacha. Damn…

No Bueno. No fountain drinks, chicken curry is dry, bland, and TASTELESS! Beware: pictures posted on the walls are DECEIVING. You have been warned.

Absolute tourist ass pull. Terrible customer service I was given today by the cashier and cook. Teriyaki bowl was okayyyy given the fact that added soy sauce. The only two topping thing is ridiculous. Sad excuse of wings as well. Drinks from the mini fridge arent even cold. Never to return. Don’t recommend before or after catching a movie nextdoor. Bootleg flame broiler ???

Came here with a friend on a Sunday. I live around the corner so it’s nice to see what’s in the area. If you’re looking for some quick teriyaki Chicken or beef then hit up this place. For the price you’re paying its not bad. The gyoza is not worth it(if you love real dumplings) but it’s not bad for a quick fix. All in all its not bad for a quick place to relax and chill and watch people walk by uptown whittier

This used to be my boyfriend and my favorite place to eat. It was delicious. But, we recently went and the teriyaki beef wasn’t the same. It was chewy, hard, dry and had too big of pieces. Also, their prices are ridiculously unaffordable.

They need to learn how to take orders. I specifically said I wanted plain burger for my son(meat, cheese & bun only). I ordered to go so at home I opened it and it was a regular burger. Toddlers don’t understand why he received a regular dressed burger. It’s not the first time they have mixed my orders. I gave up on this place. It looks clean, very good AC but lack processing orders right. I wanted this place to be my local spot, oh well.

Let me just say that I really do love this place! Of course reviews are subjective and you have to try it for yourself, but this place is amazing every single time I go! Cashier: the cashier is always sweet and takes good care of me when it comes to taking my order and being friendly. She’s very nice even the cooks have made conversation with me before and I really do appreciate that. Food: their food is amazing, I always get the popcorn chicken with the sauce on top and it always never cease to amaze me. Also they have a chicken burrito that is just so amazing and it’s very light and filling. These people came up with a great idea. The pricing for these isn’t bad at all and it’s very affordable and very tasty. Also one of my favorite things is that I call in my order in by the time I show up(house is about 5 min away) my order is ready to go. This place definitely deserves five stars and I have no problem giving five-star thank you teriyaki bistro for being awesome.

This place is subpar. I’ve only tried it once and it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. I ordered the beef and chicken teriyaki combo and the beef was fine and the chicken was ok. I would’ve given this place 4 stars, but the teriyaki sauce was weird. It came in a separate container and when I poured it over a glob of soft gelatin like substance fell on top of my beef. Don’t know if I’ll go back or not.

Chicken bowl was delicious! The rice was perfect, the chicken was perfectly grilled and not dry at all super delicious and the veggie rolls were nice and hot even when I got home. The sauce is yummy and has a small kick to it. What I loved the most about this place was that although I waked back home with my food in my hand, it was nice and hot and they were kind enough to put a small rubber band on the bowl so it wouldn’t open! Definitely be coming back here

Not the best quality. I ordered the teriyaki beef and chicken bowl. They add a twist of aging pineapple or green onions and other stuff to it. But my standards are set by Waba Grill and Flame Broiler which they come under as far as food is concerned. Service is friendly and fast.

In fairness… When I walked in I was not all that happy, I wanted phở and the spots I rode to were either too busy or closed. An older man greeted me and I needed a min to look at the menu as this was my first, albeit reluctant time here. He was not very helpful and spoke poor English, although he was very nice. He got my change wrong but there is a sign on the door that reads lhelp wanted: cashier. I was not a fan of $ 2 small drinks, on the other hand, $ 5 for a chicken burrito was about par. The rest of the menu seemed a bit steep, a rib plate cost 10.99 for example. Personally just because you write bistro on your business name doesn’t change that you are on the outskirts of uptown Whittier away from places that are more true to that name. The burrito was actually quite good, they had plenty of condiments and my 2 dollar small did come with refills. The place looks small but upstairs they«cool and comfortable seats available» as well as a 70″ flat screen TV and WiFi. I’d come back but I’m still feeling sore about the cost of a drink(even though it really is about that price everywhere).

I have seen this place driving by a lot with my husband and the pictures on the walls have always called my attention. Today I was in the mood for teriyaki and I finally came to eat. I ordered the teriyaki bowl and my husband got the teriyaki burger. The chicken teriyaki bowl was pretty average, but good. No complaints there. I like that they don’t charge extra for teriyaki sauce. There is a bottle on the table to add as you wish. My husbands teriyaki burger was ‘da bomb diggity! It was balanced, tasted clean and the avocado was all so good. It was not overwhelming either. They have space on the upper level for more space. I downgraded the one star for service. The cashier wasn’t so welcoming at first, but then she warmed up. I was happy how they reacted with my kids as well, there’s 5! I would definitely go back. Btw, bathroom isn’t the prettiest, but it was clean and smelled good.

This placed looked ok from the street so I thought I would give it a try. The menu does have a few unique items which has possibilities. I just had the chicken teriyaki bowl, brown rice, no sauce. The portion was a little small for a $ 7 meal(???) and the chicken was a bit on the dry side. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall the experience was a C+ but I am sway able.

Has recently become a local favorite, been thinking about trying the burrito, looks like something I might enjoy, the teryaki bowl with pork or chicken is always a great option to start with, I also like the choice of optional toppings, they sell mexican soda here too so they get bonus points

I didn’t except to like this place as much as I did– did take out home #2 chicken/beef bowl. As a newbie I didn’t know the teriyaki sauce is on the side so I lucked out that I took one… This worked for me because many places over sauce the meal. FYI you can get half an avocado not a whole avocado if you ask. They were busy so it took a minute but the quality of the chicken was excellent… I might recommend calling in the order if you’re in a rush it or if you want to pick it up. They seem to have a downstairs area for eating and an upstairs area that was playing the NFL
