Applebee’s

Recently went back after watching a movie with a couple of friends. We all ordered off the happy hour menu, similar to our first visit. I ordered chicken wings and chicken wonton tacos. The portions were large for the happy hour prices. The food came out hot and tasted great!
Service was still a bit slow. Seemed as if they had extra individuals helping out, that perhaps didn’t work there to drop off food to tables. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Pretty scary, we definitely won’t be back. I don’t usually go to chain restaurants anyway, the only reason we were there was my kids got a free coupon at the dentist so I figured what the heck. It was Saturday night and there was no wait for a table, I was kinda surprised! Turns out everyone else in Wichita KNOWS not to go to this Applebee’s already, that’s why there’s no wait.
Our server just plain forgot about our table, several times. It took over an hour and a half to get our food when it was all said and done. 30 minutes for salads, and they came out wrong. We asked for the manager, we talked to the hosts, everyone said they would just check on it. Then there were all these excuses, like «well it’s just such a busy night…» the place was half full! I’d hate to see what’s up on a really busy night. I even asked if we could just have crackers or something for the kids, they said they’d get right on it… nope. And every time we talked to someone else it was just more talking, more digging, more excuses. When the manager saw us she was very apologetic and said she’d get us anything we needed… one of my friends was still missing his dinner as she was saying this! They all seemed nice, just couldn’t figure out how to get food to our table. We weren’t ordering anything crazy, we were just a party of six including the two kids — I hate when restaurants make it tough on kids.
When we finally got our food the cheese was burnt to the plate as if it’d been plated and under a warmer for the whole hour plus since we ordered… sigh.
Maybe we were being punished for those kids meal coupons? I should tell my dentist not to give those out!

Had the Asian Chicken Salad. Worst watery salad I’ve ever had. All cabbage and watery no flavor dressing. Will never get to-​go from there again!

We were seated right away, but the server was rude from the start. She gave us rude looks and always replied with an attitude. We all got appetizers, not knowing about which ones were half priced like we wanted, and when the tickets came around and some were questioned about, the server replied with a bad attitude and seemed very impatient and ready for us to leave. I’ve never felt the need to leave so quickly. The food was very good though.

I don’t know what happened with the other two review on here but our experience was awesome! I believe our server was Marcus, and he was just very upbeat and fun and super amazing with the service! Totally recommend for a date night of dinner and a movie :)

Worst Applebee’s Experience EVER!
We asked for patio seating and we got ignored forever. I wanted to just walk out (would’ve been a genius decision), but my friend insisted on attempting to get someone’s attention first (we had been sitting there for 15 minutes without a single waiter coming to us). We asked for 2 waters w/​lemon & 1 without lemon and we got 1 water w/​2 lemons and 1 water without lemon (at least they got 1 water right? BUT HELLO WE ARE A PARTY OF 3). It took us forever to get another water and when we asked for another straw for the 3^rd water, the girl never comes back with it.
So then comes ordering the real food… My friend is vegetarian and they basically didn’t accommodate substituting meats with a few fries in the middle without additional charge (seriously?). She had to settle for pasta w/​o chicken. The only other alternative for her according to the waitress was salad. The food was reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy salty and not tasty at all. The oh-​so-​polite then waitress comes in the MIDDLE of our meal to ask if we wanted a group check or separate checks. Rude much? The patio is barred so it’s not like we’re going to dash anywhere. I normally always order a dessert shooter, too, but there was no offer for dessert even (terrible service tsk tsk tsk). She didn’t even separate the bill correctly. I got the 2 for $ 20 with additional add-​ons for myself and she split my add-​ons onto my friend’s tab (why is my veggie friend paying for my shrimp?). The most we saw the waitress was when she was hovering the patio waiting for our payment. The only decent positive of the day was that the waitress came out with napkins after my friend spilled water (but where was the napkin offer beforehand?).
Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if the restaurant was busy, but when we walked back inside, there were only ~5 tables with people. SHORT SUMMARY: DON’T COME HERE! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER OPTIONS AROUND.
