The food is alright but the staff are terrible. They need to re-teach every server how to serve. A waitress forgot me and my friend’s drinks several times, didn’t get the appetizer out on time and it was even slow! Will not be going there again.

the waiter/waitresses are sweethearts, the food is decent, it’s just the kitchen that needs to get their act together. It took almost 30 minutes for them to make a sundae, are you serious? You need to get better workers for the kitchen, not lazy ones. The manager apologized to us but it wasn’t her fault, it was just the kitchen.

My husband and I were here last night and we both got sick. He had the baby back ribs and shrimp and I had the steak, mash potatoes and Mac cheese. We drove from Salina to eat hear and am paying for it today. However, the chips were great and so was the service.

Cheddar’s is EASILY one of the best chain restaurants in Wichita. I say that, as a person who usually frequents local restaurants for house-made specialties, signature dishes, fresh ingredients, and the like. Cheddar’s is a Scratch Kitchen — making almost everything from scratch — including battering their tasty chicken tenders. For lunch, I like the Pick 2 or 3 and usually get their scrumptious Monte Cristo and Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Sometimes I throw in a Caesar. You get all 3 for under $ 8. For dinner, I have enjoyed Cheddar’s chicken tenders, mango salsa tilapia, fish tacos — grilled or fried as both are excellent, and«spasagna»(spaghetti/lasagna mix). You get LARGE portions — I always take something home — at the most reasonable prices(Cheaper than the similar Applebee’s). They have several sides that are quite delicious too — steamed broccoli, cooked/sweetened carrots, mashed potatoes with red skins, and broccoli cheddar casserole. They have a cocktail list of several jumbo drinks for just $ 5 – 6 — unbeatable for regular priced drinks. I highly recommend the Painkiller, Maui Margarita, Georgia Sunshine, and Texas Sweet Tea. They also have a crazy good(and cheap) chocolate mousse cake with ice cream for $ 5 – 6 that easily serves 4 people. There are several reviews below of steaks not being cooked correctly; yet, if you look up any of several diagrams of different ways steaks can be grilled, Cheddar’s did in fact cook the steak as ordered in the complaint. And then to complain you didn’t get the steak free? Only a person who has never worked in the food industry would make such a complaint. As a person who did in my early adulthood, I saw way too many customers make the slightest of complaints to try and get freebies — especially giving away free steaks could put a restaurant out of business.(And, wait staff have to add any steaks to be sent to customers on the tab #1 for it to go back to the kitchen and #2 for the business to keep track of its higher end menu items. This is common protocol in the food industry.) I’m not huge on steak; but the one time I ordered it at Cheddar’s, it was quite good especially considering the low price.

I don’t know if tonight was just a bad night service wise but I will never find out because I will NOT be going back. As for the food… The«Fresh» steamed broccoli was NOT freshly steamed. Very soggy, more like it had been boiled. The steak, When I finally got it was eh at best. a good It started with some little things that I would forgive… maybe they are new, unexpectedly busy, etc… though this would account for one of the servers but all of them? The issues that I would NORMALLY forgive with mild irritation are these: 1) While our waiter was introducing himself and taking drink orders another server came and brought us somebody else’s appetizer. Our waiter took it away. 2) The salad that I ordered and in fact discussed its contents with our server, Aaron, never came. 3) Our appetizer took quite some time. Now for more serious issues… My steak was ordered Medium. What I got was JUST this side of well done. Brown with just the tiniest amount of pink… a very thin line. I Called over the waiter who took it away and said he would get me another one. The manager came over and apologized assuring me that I would have my steak in just a couple of minutes. So far so good. First, by the time I got my order, my guests where almost done with their meal. Then when they brought the check I saw that they had Credited a steak of with code PR-Guest Dislike. I thought oh nice, they did what every other place would do in the same situation and credited my meal. I wasn’t asking for it but they did. THEN i see they charged me for both steaks and were only crediting the first one. My irritation is this… if you aren’t going to comp the meal because of the bad experience, don’t make it APPEAR that you are in any way and don’t basically slap the customer in the face with your apathy. I asked to speak with the manager, who never came out. My waiter came back and said«Yeah they do that to send back to the kitchen.» Waited another several minutes still no manager so we left, telling a waitress to please tell her manager to expect a call in a few minutes. When I called I spoke with Josh. I explained all of the issues and his response was, «I’m trying to understand… we only took off one of the two steaks? Yeah that’s normally what we would do is charge two and credit one… I mean we didn’t charge you for the first one.» He also stated that they get steaks sent back«Not infrequently» When I stated that if they are getting steaks sent back a lot maybe they should try and fix that issue he said«Yeah, I guess.» He informed me that the never comp anything per company policy. That’s fine. I’m not out for free food. I think it is a very poorly thought out policy especially in the restaurant business, but hey… your choice. My issue is DON“T SLAPMEINTHEFACEWITHYOURAPATHYBYPUTTING A LINETHATMAKESITLOOKLIKEYOUAREDOINGTHERIGHTTHING.

Mediocre(at best) food, reasonable prices. The place was packed so we gave it a try. Ribeye steak ordered medium well came out much thinner than most ribeye steaks and overcooked. Vegetable plate was decent except for the corn which was swimming in butter. Service was ok. No reason for us to return, there are better choices.

I was very pleased with the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. It had a sweet and savory flavor with pineapple, rice and I think Teriyaki sauce. The red beans and loaded baked potato were delicious. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak. Not too much breading and good amount of meat. My 3-year-old son refused to eat his Mac and Cheese, because he thought it had chicken in it. It had some texture too it because it was baked and had formed some crust, if you will. I tried it and thought it was great. My 5-year-old daughter thought the chicken tenders and fries were very yummy and requested that we come back again. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy, yet we didn’t have a long wait(probably about 15 minutes). The price was reasonable and the service was good. The total for two entrees, two fountain drinks, and two kids meals was about $ 35 before tip.

I like Cheddar’s. The wait isn’t that bad. Service is excellent. One time our waiter forgot to put in the appetizer we ordered. He apologized and said we would get it at no charge. We were okay with that! Another time, I wanted to eat half of my friend’s loaded baked potato and accidentally dropped it into my glass of water. The waitress didn’t ask me questions but instead she calmly handed me a new glass of water. Thank you for not judging me. I don’t know why, but I almost always come here with the same group of people. To start, we usually order the Santa Fe Spinach Dip and a Triple Treat Sample(yum!). Depending on how hungry I am, I would get either the 6 oz or 8 oz steak topped with sautéed mushrooms. Delicious. We get to pick two sides. I personally love their buttered off-the-cob corn and broccoli cheese casserole.

This is probably the most affordable restaurant in town. I get the Vegetable Plate, which is filling and only costs $ 6.49. Sometimes I’ll order an appetizer as a meal like the Spinach dip, Loaded potato skins without bacon, Wisconsin cheese bites, Ultimate nachos without meat. Great food at an incredible price. VEGETARIAN.

I don’t go to Cheddars often so I usually just get the same dish: medium rare steak and chicken tenders. And for the side red beans with rice and Mac and cheese. Steak was tender and delicious as always with a side of bourbon sauce. The red beans and rice tasted different from what I remember, it tasted overly smokey and the beans seemed undercooked. The croissants are really good! They are light and fluffy with butter and honey on top. Prices are very reasonable for the food you get. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and he worked well with our group of 6.

Good food. Very attentive service. Cool space. Zero complaints. The food was nothing incredibly remarkable that I would drive across town for, but if I’m out east, it’s a great option for something not avail out west and keeps the whole family happy with the variety of options. Also, VERY reasonably priced for the qty of food you get. And having sub $ 4 frozen beverage option is a nice change of pace from the usual.

The food was great! Only thing was that my steak was over cooked but the manager did everything he could to correct it. I had steak, ribs, broccoli & cheese casserole, red beans and rice and a salad! I sat at the bar & Matt www great!!! The Maui margaritas are always on point!!!

Onion rings were good. Enough for 6 people BUT down hill after that. Dried food on knife which waitress sympathetically replaced. Had chicken fried steak that was huge and looked delicious. After cutting into it the breading wasn’t completely cooked. All breading, steak was less than 1⁄8 in thick and tuff. Mashed potatoes were soupy and green beans were mushy. Left most on plate. Waitress asked if something wrong then looked at plate and apologized for meal. She was a very friendly. Floors were wet and very slippery. Food and trash on floors and bathroom was same. Maybe being 9:00pm on a Saturday nite had something to do with it. Very disappointed as I had heard Cheddars was good Wont be back

Two times I left Cheddar’s full but unimpressed. The portions are great for the price(my spasagna lasted for two meals), but the dishes were average: the spasagna needed more marinara sauce and the BBQ sauce on the ribs was a little sweet. I did, however, liked their Texas cheese fries. The staff were friendly enough and it seemed like they have good business; both times I left around 7pm and there were people waiting for tables. Two things I liked about Cheddar’s: they’re located next to the Warren and the casual dress code.

This is one of my favorite places to dine with the family. Cheddar’s has a comfortable atmosphere, great wait staff, and high quality food for the prices. For these reasons however, wait times to get seated can be long at certain hours of the day. If you plan ahead though and avoid the rush hours, you will have a great experience and leave happy. One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken Pot Pie. It is light, delicious, and made with fresh ingredients. The catfish is also a favorite for everyone in the family.

Visited cheddars on a work lunch with other team members. Service was ok, given that it was lunch hour it was just ok. Nothing really bad or really good. The food was just ok as well. Portions were standard and all that was expected from a chain restaurant.

This is my go to place for great food, atmosphere, and very reasonably priced entrees. My most recent visit, I had the country fried steak and a friend had the same version only with chicken. I would suggest the chicken, as the country fried steak was a bit chewy and bland for my taste. I had plate envy after my friend allowed me to try her chicken, which was seasoned and tender! The honey buttered croissants are delicious.

Hadn’t been to cheddars in years and although you get a lot of food for your price it’s more quantity than quality. Green beans were obviously out of the can and had a lot of onions in them to try to give them flavor and were cooked to death, chicken fried steak, although it looks fabulous, but it was all breading, very little meat on the inside. Honey mustard chicken and mushrooms-(grilled) was okay too much sauce on my plate and chicken tasted somewhat spongy you like pre-cooked chicken. The broccoli and rice casserole was very good The chicken fried chicken and onion rings were very good and homemade, I think they do several things that are out of the can or powdered but if you know the menu well you could find what might be good Quality.

What best summarizes my opinion on Cheddar’s is: The taste is as reasonable as the price. I’ve never had a BAD experience with Cheddar’s, but I’ve also never been blown away either; and really I think it’s very unfair to expect a 5 star experience from a restaurant that charges an average of 10 dollars for per entrée. All in all, I think it’s a fantastically affordable lunch spot when I’m not in the mood for a burger.
