My favorite BBQ restaurant. The best ribs in the ICT. Place is always busy but very very clean. Staff is always very attentive.

The Portion are getting smaller and smaller as price goes up. $ 9.49 for two meats meal look very disappointing. But overall Hog wild BBQ are the best in town. The brisket and ribs are still the best.

Another favorite for BBQ in Wichita. There isn’t anything I don’t like here. It’s all good. We’ve used them for catering & it’s always a hit.

Love their bbq, especially 2 meat sandwich(beef brisket and hot links). Drool every time I think of it. Corn and ribs are great as well. Great service. They close early though.

One of the best bbq places and definitely the best I have been to in Wichita. Great brisket and hot links. Good portion sizes too.

Great service and good food. I had the 3 meat dinner with brisket, ribs and hot links and beans and mac and cheese as a side. Sides are alright, but the meat is really good! Great value!

The two meat dinner has many options of meats AND2 sides for 9.49. I ordered the ribs & pulled pork with Mac n cheese & mashed potatoes(no gravy). The ribs looked really black & I was a little leery. They had a really nice smoky taste & could be torn apart easily. The pulled pork was very tender and wasn’t as smoky it still had the taste of being smoked for a long time. The mac n cheese was average tasting but still hot & creamy. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant style. Tried the sauces on the table mild was sweet and the hot was sweet also & wasn’t really hot. After a sampling of my husband’s beans — I would trade them for the Mac n cheese. I think it’s a good price for the choices. And I would definitely go back for the meats. Good choice for a quick BBQ joint.

I’m Californian, so I’m definitely not a BBQ connoisseur. Regardless, I absolutely loved it! I got the brisket & hot link sandwich and it was delicious! The boyfriend got the pulled-chicken dinner and it was very good. His sides(corn & coleslaw) were meh, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, very happy tummy! :)

Excellent Ribs– some of the best ever. Local place, go to the counter and order from a wide variety of meats, sides and huge baked potatoes stuffed with your choice of meats or whatever. Must stop if you are near there.

Couldn’t visit Wichita, KS without trying some Kansas BBQ! The only thing worth trying here, really. The BBQ meats on the menu include beef brisket, ham, pulled pork, hot links, chicken. I opted for the one meat«dinner» plate(no lunch) for $ 8.95 which comes with 2 sides and 2 slices of Texas toast. Good deal. I ordered it with beef brisket, baked beans and potato salad. The beef brisket was tender, moist, and flavorful. It needed a bit more BBQ sauce, but they have some on the table. I wished I got the mac n cheese instead as a side because the beans were too sweet for me, but the potato salad and Texas toast were good! They also have sandwich options and their cobblers looked amazing. Too bad I was too full to eat any. All in all, it didn’t blow my mind, but it’s a pretty good place to get BBQ. I’ll be back if I ever find myself stuck in Wichita again.

Lacking– I figured: mid-west big town– big name bbq joints… sadly mistaken. Looked good from the outside and as soon as you walk in– quaint typical bbq joint design with checkered table cloths; clean and familiar, yet oddly boring. A red flag went up about quality when no more than 20 seconds after ordering, our food was ready!!! I had the pork ribs, beef brisket, beans and potato salad. My wife had mac n cheese, beef brisket and corn. My wife commented the corn was grey in color, lacked flavor and tasted canned. The mac an cheese as well was bland. The beef brisket was slightly dry, but not horrible. I was not impressed in the least with their beans: the tasted incredibly familiar… then my wife said it– they are canned Bush’s Baked Beans with some extra seasoning thrown in… potato salad was pretty good, ribs were juicy with a very good caramelized skin and great smoke taste, but full of tendon and tasted like they had been sitting too long. I agreed the beef brisket was bland. Their sauces were lacking as well– only 2 choices, hot and mild, both of which were boring. The hot was not hot at all. The mild was more of a sweet sauce. All in all– disappointed.

Nice little BBQ restaurant! The interior is clean, pleasantly rustic, the menu is clearly displayed at the front, the prices are reasonable, the food came out quickly and it tasted great. I came here with a group of 13 for a family dinner and was quite happy with the experience. I live in Texas and have access to plenty of good BBQ and I thought this was just as good as anything I’ve had back home. I ordered the Carolina pulled pork sandwich which was pulled pork on a bun and topped with coleslaw. The pork and coleslaw both had a really nice flavor and the portion was perfect. I enjoyed their bottled sauces too although the text on the label is very difficult to decipher unless you look really closely. A number of people in our party ordered the ribs and commented that they were very good and the portion was larger than anticipated. This is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and want BBQ.

This place is over rated, and the service sucks… I will not visit here again. The staff is not a welcoming feature… My expensive sandwich is very plain and dry

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I had the baked beans, mashed potatoes, and the three meat dinner. I chose the pulled pork, beef brisket, and sausage links. All three were excellent. Smoky. No dry meat. But they could put a little more sauce over the meat in the styrofoam container. The beans were perfect. Steaming hot. Smoky. Not too sweet. Not mushy. The mashed potatoes were the same except for the smoky part. Great food. Nothing was bland or otherwise disappointing. Even the Texas toast was good.

I’m visiting from California right now and my fiancé and I decided to get down on some bbq while in town. The first day we went to a bbq place in old town, and it was amazing! So we decided to try this local chain based on reviews. I ordered the pulled pork and pulled chicken with, mashed, potatoes and potatoe salad. Starchy carb overload but sounded amazing in my head. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean and the service was friendly. I got my food, tried the sauces and both were pretty decent. The chicken, was good, not dry but nothing special. Pulles pork was the same. Potato salad tasted like store bought and nothing special. Mashed, potatoes were also, meh. Overall, wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. I probably wouldn’t go again on my next trip out.

This BBQ place is really good. I’m glad I went here during my visit to Wichita, KS. I got the 3 meat dinner with corn and mashed patatoes gravy. I can’t find BBQ this good anywhere in the Northwest.

I’m visiting Wichita and Hog Wild was recommended to me by a friend. The place is kind of fast-foodish, clean quiet, almost sterile — not like the BBQ places I’m used to where they are loud, smokey and smell of smoke. I ordered the Smokestack sandwich — brisket and smoked sausage. I make combos like that whenever I get a chance. The brisket was tender but, as other reviewers have mentioned, lacked a smokey taste. The smoked sausage had a nice hot/spicy flavor but needed more smoke. The toasted and buttered bun is what made this sandwich really work. The real disappointment was they don’t have banana pudding. Really? Banana pudding is one of the simplest things to make. Overall, an average meal. I live in Texas and Hog Wild wouldn’t make it there. Edited to add: Some Wichita friends mentioned«…Hog Wild is good for Wichita, but since you live in Texas, it won’t be that good…» LOLNOW they tell me ;)
