Best ice cream ever. Very creamy and great friendly service. Good variety of flavors.

Good friendly staff but you can tell this is not high quality ice cream. Definitely includes carageenan additive for fake creaminess. Yuk. Better of going to Baskin Robbins around the corner.

By far the worst ice cream I’ve ever had. We got there 10 mins before closing and it felt like they were just going through the motions and didn’t even want to serve us. The ice cream tasted old and my family felt the same way.

Absolutely delicious! We visit the area every year but this was our first time getting ice cream here! It will be a must visit every year from now on!

I happen to love Ice Cream — and there are a lot of good places in the area, but I’m never disappointed when I choose Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. They have a good selection of flavors, the standards and a few specials. Chocolate Raspberry, Dark Chocolate. The ice cream is rich and creamy — I’ve never had a problem with freezer burn here. Portion size has never disappointed. Their brownie sundae and apple crisp sundaes are extra generous. Try the apple — it is surprisingly good: the sweetness blends well with the creamy ice cream. The staff tends to be on the young side, like you’d expect at a place like this. Very friendly. There is a tip jar and I’ll feel like leaving a tip more often than not.

Two scoops is a small and just over three dollars. Very similar to a Dairy Queen which is what we have back in California. Lots of flavor choices and great customer service.

I can see why it got high ratings from people. It is good but I can’t say it’s great because the ice cream I tried — coffee and my daughter’s Birthday Cake, had a very smooth and creamy texture but the flavor of the coffee wasn’t too apparent and the Birthday Cake was a little bitter to me because of the blue frosting — I think from the food coloring. However, my coffee was put into a turtle sundae and you can’t go completely wrong with anything covered in hot fudge and caramel and salty pecans. If I just had a cone, I don’t think I’d feel I had an awesome ice cream experience. Something would have been lacking. And now I just checked their website out of curiosity to see if they had nutritional info and they do. I asked the kid if the yogurt was low fat and he said the main difference between the yogurt and the ice cream was the texture — the yogurt was lighter. That wasn’t unreasonable because several ice creams have close to the same fat and calories of yogurt, but not this time. The yogurt has 150 calories vs. 210 for the ice cream and 4 grams fat vs. 12! That’s quite a big difference.

Great ice cream and the portions are huge! Don’t pay for the extra scoop, you get plenty.

Bruster’s is a must-try and a bit busy for a reason: the ice cream is absolutely top notch. Though we don’t have to ever wait long, I prefer a busy place because the product turns over quickly and never gets icy or off tasting. The flavors and toppings here are plentiful and excellent. They have some seasonal flavors and are generous in their portions. Little kids get a free cone and they have a half off special on banana splits if you bring your own banana(on Tuesday’s, is it?). You can also ask for a punch card giving you a free treat after you purchase ten. Service is cheerful and fast. Bruster’s is also one of the few places we trust to serve our severely food allergic son who cannot eat dairy, wheat, egg or nut products. They are very careful to avoid cross contamination and are always cheerful taking care of him.

Well visiting this area, I took the family to this tucked away very busy ice cream stand that didn’t look like much but had some of the best creations and tasting ice cream I have ever tasted. The flavors and mix ins and sundaes all sounded delicious and I can see why it was busy. The only issue I saw was that the place was hidden on the edge of a shopping center behind trees and you would never know it was there. Make sure to hit this spot if you are ever visiting Williamsburg. The prices and the selections are well worth it.

We found Brusters through the visitor’s guide coupon book for Williamsburg. They had a buy one get one free deal. The ‘real’ ice cream was very good but a little too rich. I had the coconut chocolate chip which was just awesome. Oh my– I really love crunchy things in my ice cream– this one hit the spot. I also sampled flavors from the others in my group: birthday cake– very sweet and rich, maple nut–(again with the crunch; I like it) sweet, cookie dough, chocolate and strawberry. All the flavors were very tasty. This is an ice cream shop that we would visit again. It’s great for an occasional treat.
