Orvilles Appliance

Our old washer cratered so I went to Orville’s and they had the machine I had researched in stock at a great price. Delivery was the next day at 9am.
Zero pain and a great experience!!!

I HATE this store. I never use the word hate but the fact that my anxiety level has reached its peak requires the use of this word. I made my purchase about 3 years ago and still have reasons to hate them to this day. First off, they installed my washer and dryer in an order that makes no sense so that when I transfer items from the washer to the dryer, I’m reaching over the dryer door. They needed to switch the order of machines or switch the door direction of the dryer. That’s where my anger from tonight is coming from because I finally got fed up enough that I tried reversing the door but I was unsuccessful at it and the door now isn’t fully attached.
Obviously this isn’t my only reason to hate this store. 2. The store refused to follow one of their own policies for price matching, 3. The delivery guy left a hose that needed to be installed next to the washer, 4. The hose left was too short for the connection (and another delivery man said that he could tell the guy just didn’t feel like going to his truck to get a longer one), 5. The delivery guy kinked a hose instead of using another part that he left next to the washer that prevents kinking, 6. They didn’t leave me a water line kit that was part of my order, 7. They didn’t install the fridge door the correct direction (as listed on the order) and when they came back to fix it, 8. The delivery guy made a snarky remark to me about how I should have noticed before they drove away.
Even better, when my parents went to this store last year, they used inappropriate sarcasm so they went elsewhere for their appliances for their new build.
This company is the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

The customer service was great but we noticed their original prices set it really high and have the sale so it seems like they are giving you a good deal. Compared to Home Depot or other appliances stores online their original prices are 100 or 200 more. We got the last one of the washer so they said this one won’t come with the box. So we asked but at least wrap it good while sitting in the truck, they said yes. So the delivery day we saw that they didnt wrap anything on it to protect it while delivering. they only tided in their truck. And had more starches on the front washer then they didn’t carry the washer by hands with tools. They used specific delivery cart to roll down from the stairs to the basement, so all you hear was baning sounds of the buttom. My husband asked them really nicely stick around a little bit like 5 mins or 10 mins to make sure running good. Then they just said please sign it, we can’t stick around. For sure 2 mins later the washer showed error on the screen after their left.
Anyway, the customer service was great. They refunded us the full amount and returned us the old washer. So we went to Home Depot got an other washer but different brand and their installation fee definitely cheaper. And at the delivery day they carried the washer by hands with the tools to the basement and at least stay for a little to check the washer is running after they moved the old washer.

I have never been to Orville’s and had an excellent experience. How can that be?
I live out of state and my elderly mother’s refrigerator failed on a Friday night causing her great anxiety. I spoke with her Saturday morning and then Unilocaled appliance sales/​repair stores near my her home. Orville’s came up.
A couple of phone calls and less than 24 hours later on Sunday morning, my mother was enjoying her new refrigerator. Problem solved.
I worked with Rick and he recommended the correct appliance for the situation and at a sales price which was spot on with other retail sales. The transaction was processed over the phone and the receipt faxed within an hour of the deal.
Finally, the gals answering the Orville’s phones were exceptionally friendly and good communicators. A pleasure to be sure in this age of telephone trees.
I can only imagine the experience had I actually visited the store…

The customer service here is great as are the prices!
Came in the day that our washing machine decided it no longer wanted to work. It was old and had been fixed many times, so we knew it was time for a replacement.
Looked around a bit before the salesman came over. We told him our washing needs, etc. and he recommended a GREAT washer that was affordable and had lots of exciting features (no agitator, water-​efficient, etc.). We got a great price and the washer was delivered the next day.
Will definitely be back to Orville’s when our next appliance is old an irreparable. KNOCK ON WOOD.
