First Unilocal review. My family loves burgers and fries. We eat it once every two weeks. We like Elevation Burger and Grub Burger bar, but hands down, Floris beats them all. Burgers and fries were fresh, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. If you haven’t tried this spot, stop reading this review and order now!

Mom and Pop for sure! This is a typical greasy spoon esp with the breakfast. I have never had a bad meal here. It is not run like a typical café bc there aren’t any waiters but Flori does bring the food out to you. She is old school Italian and very nice! I have enjoyed breakfast here along with their California salad! Fresh ingredients yum yum!

I prefer eating at locally owned businesses instead of chain restaurants. The food is better and your dollars go back into the community. This is the kind of place that reminds you of small town America, where folks make an honest living just trying to pay the bills and get ahead. Flori’s Café is a surviving Mom and Pop restaurant available for dining in or pick up. Right across the street from Thunderbird lanes, it’s easy to miss even though it’s located on the corner at the intersection of Fitzwatertown and Old York Road. They keep the curtains drawn for privacy from passing traffic. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. My personal favorite is the«Flori’s Chicken and Ranch» sandwich. For $ 5.25 you get an organic chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms, onions, ranch, tomato served on a brioche bun. This sandwich gives Chik Fil-a a run for it’s money. Expect a 5 – 10 minute wait time because all the ingredients are prepared fresh. If you’re more into beef burgers I’d try the Chipotle burger. Delicious and extra veggies are always free. I’ve read some other reviews which complain about the cosmetic imperfections inside of the restaurant. It’s true, what it lacks in «flash» it makes up for in the quality of the food. Just me, but I’d rather eat at a homely restaurant with quality ingredients than a chain restaurant with heated up food and no authenticity. Either way, put this little gem in your memory bank and the next time you drive by, stop in and decide for yourself.

Solid burger joint, went here during lunch time and decided to try their pastrami burger. My first bite was so juicy and flavorful! I would definitely come here again to try their other selections.

I really enjoyed trying Flori’s. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are delicious. The chicken sandwich was quite messy with all the ranch dressing but it tasted great. Fresh ingredients and longer than fast food wait time because it’s real food. They have a variety of items I’d like to try. The café is clean and a good size. I enjoyed eating here on my lunch break. The prices are reasonable as well.

Wow! Incredible burgers and delicious fries. I had the chipotle burger and my husband had the Flori’s burger. It’s kind of a dive but don’t let that scare you off. Best burger I’ve had in a long time!

Wonderful breakfast food– bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich served with a side of breakfast potatoes with grilled onions… Big portion and great price. Great tasting fresh coffee. Staff seemed cold at first, but warmed up by the end of the visit – and as mentioned in other reviews, service was slow. They were out of steak and breakfast sausage so don’t expect unlimited options, and the place has basically no atmosphere(used to be an old Subway hoagie shop) but it’s totally worth it for a delicious meal without frills.

Best burgers in town. I used to go to five guys, teds, or a fast food place when I was craving a burger. None of them come close to Flori’s. I pretty much stick to the Bibu burger(bacon) but last time I got an Aloha burger(BBQ and pineapple) and it was amazing. They’re also very cheap and family owned. It does take a little while for them to make your food but it’s worth the wait. If you’re not a burger person they also have really good wraps, hoagies, and salads. Give this place a shot. I guarantee you will love it.

Nothing new to add here that wasn’t said before but to echo the sentiments — good food, longer than usual wait, meh ambiance, obviously a former Subway. I’m okay with that former-Subway ambiance if they put that cash into quality food and lessening the wait. I got the Flori’s burger(cheddar, pepper jack, bacon, pepperoni, ham, and the usual fixings) and the Mrs. got the Chipotle burger(chipotle, pepper jack, etc.) We also got a side of fries which were quality, nothing fancy just good fries. We’ll be back and will try something new… the cheesesteak sounds promising! Oh, and when we were there it looked like they were interviewing a new guy to man the grill so that’s a good sign!

Philly cheese steaks, best hamburger in all the area that reminds you of grilled food cooked on the barbecue. For the near vegetarian their salads are big, fresh and made to order. Most of the time I get the California salad.

Based on the enthusiasm of other Unilocalers, I have to believe that either breakfast is not Flori’s forte or they had an off day when we were there. The place is spartan – one might say charmless – lacking any ambiance, likely signaling that the business is principally take-away. For eat-in meals, one orders at the counter but service is at a table and on disposable plates. Our order was taken by a woman who was nothing short of surly. And based on other Unilocal reviews, we surmise that she is the restaurant’s namesake. Nonetheless, few rational people would regard rudeness and yelling an optimal way to begin a day. Our breakfasts were meh at best. Our eggs had picked up lingering flavors from the grill, and we were not looking for eggs with unwanted flavor undertones on this particular day. The single redeeming part of the meal was the griddled toast. That, however, will not prove to be adequate inspiration for a return visit.

My husband order burgers and wings from here fairly often, and they are hands down the best of both that you can get in the area. The burgers are always fresh, cooked exactly the way you ask for it, which for my husband is a big deal as he loves his burgers rare. Most places you ask for a rare burger you’re lucky to get medium, but his always come out just the way he likes them. I have to say we haven’t tried much else from this place, if only because their burgers are so good we always get that, but I have had a corned beef sandwich from here a while back and I remember thinking it was good. We usually order to-go, so can’t say much about speed of service, but our food is usually ready with 15 – 20 minutes of when we order, which for takeout is just about right.

The décor will lead you to think little of the place but the food will take you by surprise. Try any of the awesome burgers. My personal favorite is the cheesesteak. In my opinion it’s the best cheesesteak in the area!

Despite this place looking like an over run subway restaurant with all of the same appliances left behind, the food is great. It doesn’t bother me all that much that the service is horrible and that flori is extra mean because the food is great. She slapped my friends hand one time cause he reached my sandwich instead of his.

I would like to rate this place higher as I really enjoyed their food-however-the service is God Awful! Almost ½ hour for a breakfast sandwich to go? Wow. As I said the food is above average-but only go if you have no pressing plans.

Flori’s is phenomenal — best in class in the area for sure. I ordered a Texas Burger w/fries — the burger was generously sized, perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. Outstanding value and quality. All in all one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite a while. It’s not a place for ambiance, but what it does, it does extremely well.

Went on a snowy Saturday and it was pretty dead inside. I’m really hoping they have a great lunch business otherwise because I enjoyed this spot! I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and it was a great size and the perfect amount of melted cheese-sometimes difficult to find! My bf ordered a breakfast sandwich and he said it was great– the perfect amount of ingredients and the right amount of saltiness. Downside– very slow service. Yes, they make your food made to order. .. but it seemed more like their cook didn’t have an efficient system yet rather than cook time. I would definitely go back to eat a good, reasonably priced meal and to support a small local business!

I went to Flori’s Café today for the first time with 2 of my colleagues. Our intention was to get a quick lunch and get back to the office. I ordered a corned beef wrap, with cole slaw and Russian dressing and small fries, while they ordered a corned beef wrap and a chicken salad sandwich. After waiting for 25 minutes the waitress came out to announce that there was no more chicken salad, and asked my friend to order something else. We had been seated for 35 minutes by the time we got our sandwiches, but they forgot the fries. The fries took an additional 15 – 20 minutes. By that time we fairly close to finished our lunches. We saw others who had been seated when we arrived and they also had very lengthy waits for their meals. Please bear in mind that this is set up in an old Subway shop, and upon entry appears to function the same way. Its not a table service café, so there is an expectation that the food should take that long to come out. The food was good and fresh, but after a 35+ minute wait it should have been! The ONLY reason Im giving Flori’s 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was good. Im not sure how long they have been open, but in my opinion they have a LOT of work to do on their accuracy of orders, awareness of the current availability of their dishes, and their efficiency in turning orders around(and correctly).

First visit today for breakfast. They made us a burger at 9:30 am and a Western omelette with home fries and coffee. Burger was medium rare on a Brioche bun. Fresh, light and delicious. Surely, fresh beef used here. Omelette and home fries were all cooked perfectly. Flavorful and nothing over salted. WIll definitely return to try the burger salad. Best breakfast in the area!
