I like their food it’s the best for a late night snack. However, the staff is not friendly by any means, they were the most unappealing clothes(crappy long sleeve shirts & sweatpants), and don’t bother talking to you when u roll up to the window. They just take your money and slam the window shut. Oh and the language on some of these people while on their shift! The girl at the window yelled«oh f***» while taking the money and ran over to her purse like the customer was the least of her worries. Thank god she found what she was looking for in her purse tho, don’t mind me.

«Ahhhhh Simmmarrddsss!!!» That’s what my friends and I say when one of us mentions Simard’s; It just happens. I’ve been coming here since I was a wee teen breaking curfew on terms with the devil’s lettuce, but you don’t have to be such a rebel to enjoy their satisfyingly greasy, late-night(their drive-thru is open until 1:30 — 3:00am, depending on the night), whatever-you-want food. Um, can we get some regular beefs, tacos, fries, and a pizza roll? Thanks! This place is not for the pretentious, more for the ravenous(and definitely for the spirituous). I’ve actually had Simard’s a few times during daylight, and it’s still just as good, if just a little too greasy for my diurnal appetite. Nonetheless, I will always love Simard’s and still have yet to find a place with a better roast beef sandwich.

2 small season fries, 2 undercooked steak & cheese rolls and a mountain dew that was mostly syrup for over $ 20…ridiculous. The place looks filthy and the staff make you feel like you’re an inconvenience more often than not. I’ve had the roast beef… it’s ok but not good enough to make me go back.

Nothing special. Gone downhill the past few years, maybe resting on laurels, local fame. –1 star for highest prices of nearby pizza/subshops. –1 star for frozen hamburgers(somehow ending up warmer than the Jr beefs) and soggy fries which is price paid for visiting off hours(when the sun is shining before they hire a police detail … speaking of which, +1 for police presence). +1 star for decent big size potato skins app, they have changed my life … For the worse. –1 star for cholesterol content. –1 for congealed nacho dip at extra cost. –1 star for having dine-in area; they are not winning new customers with those giant windows exposing ‘70s style trash-camouflaging floors/furniture. i feel like a homeless person when I eat inside, and I feel like that’s saying a lot considering the 5-figure amt of calories sitting in front of my face. –1 star for not severing alcohol to cope w/loss of self respect. +1 for pity and entertainment value of late nite drive thru line. Just go next door to Brothers’ Roast Beef. Or the new place, Rizzo’s RB&pizza: good beef, bad pizza. In fact the best pizza in the area is across the street from simards at market basket called digiornos. But I digress. Thanks for reading. … Don’t drink and drive.

Was hooked on this place the first night moving to Wilmington. It was late and figured nothing would be open in this quiet town, but drive by and saw this place and thought roast beef sandwiches sound really good about now. The rolls, beef, pickles, and everything they put on it are so good. I wish I still lived there and could get it anytime I wanted.

Ok food at the least, roast beef needs to be more rare, way too overcooked. This place does well due to the late night drive through otherwise its average at most.

Super convenient and quick. Jr. Beef with mayo is the go to, along with their mozzarella sticks and onion rings. They never have Syrian bread for their salads which is annoying and I wish they still had ice cream shakes on their menu! Try the seasoned waffle fries!

Its sort of hit or miss, here– but it is never bad. Its your typical late night –drive-thru roast beef place. I cant drive by my home town favorite without stopping in for a super beef with mayo and cheese. I’m sad they don’t make chocolate shakes anymore. I think its been that way for years now, but that was always a winning combo when I was a kid. Their fries are always perfect. Always.

Open late. Burgers cold. Fries were so soggy more like mashed potato. Onion rings were good. I only go here because they are open late. Window employee not friendly but still has a tip jar out. No tip for you till you smile and not slam the window in my face after taking my cash. Two stars because onion rings are good and open late. Otherwise its a one star place

I stopped in to grab a salad in the drive thru. Waited for a few minutes and nobody greeted me so I guessed the speaker was broken. I drove up to the window and a girl came over and I told her I’d like a salad. She told me I’d have to drive back around and order from the speaker… I looked in my rear view and there was nobody behind me. I explained to her that I had just waited at the speaker for a few minutes and nobody had asked me what I’d like. She said yeah I was busy… Are you kidding me? There are way too many other places around to get such lousy service! Needless to say I didn’t drive around I just drove off

So we came there tonight and not only did they overcharge us on the food, but they didn’t give us the receipt. We got 3 #4 specials which is $ 4.25 and an order of fries for roughly $ 3 I asked for a small cup of ice and if they charged us for that, that’s ridiculous. The total was $ 24.25 does that even make sense??? The burgers were totally mediocre. I felt like I was eating something from McDonalds. Look at the burger, the paper is covered in grease and the paper was melted to the cheese. Not to mention who the hell puts the burger patty on top of all the ingredients? The only thing that was remotely good was the fries. The fruit punch tasted watered down. I’ve had Simards before and they are usually ok, but this is just absolutely unacceptable. The fact that they robbed us and tried to hide the evidence is why they’re getting 1 star. I wish I could give them no stars and have that employee reported to their managers. I’ll remember the girls face who was behind this. She had black hair and was working the midnight shift on 4÷24÷14 into 4÷25÷14 the manager should be notified ASAP I want my money back and one less employee with a job.

Simard’s is like an independent Arby’s. Known for their roast beef, but we found the Pastrami to be superior. Go with the onion bagel, and skip the fries. It’s not great, but they stay open late.

Great roastbeast, best around! Generous portions of beast, very yummy, rare. Other options are good to, chicken kabob is delish, waffle fries are amazingly good. Drive through is a little slow, but it’s worth it. Staff is great, very friendly.

Having grown up in the area, I’ve tried this place enough to really be able to review it. Basically, it’s mediocre fried food. The only time you should consider coming here is if you’re a roast beef sandwich lover(since I’ve heard it’s awesome). Every time I eat here, I leave feeling 10 lbs heavier with an upset stomach.

This is the kind of roast beef that I miss by living in the Dallas area. No one offers rare shaved beef on an onion roll. I should probably start my own restaurant one of these days. Anyways, these guys are open late, they are fast, they offer good food for a bit of a higher price… but I was willing to pay it because of all the factors involved. It was almost midnight when I stopped in. Nothing else was open except a convience store and a gas station, I wanted great roast beef. Simard’s provided what was needed, when it was needed. For those in the Boston area… enjoy these style restaurants! They aren’t everywhere in the US. Parking can get tight if busy.

I just went to Simard’s for lunch, I got a Super Beef Special that came with small fries, which were huge(and a side of nacho cheese on the suggestion of the kid behind the counter), and a small fountain soda. Considering the price of a Super beef on its own, and the price of a fries and coke it was a pretty good value @ $ 9.95. I have to say they were pretty damn quick about getting the orders out, there were people waiting inside and there was a line of cars in the drive-thru, which I must say for a roast beef joint is pretty damn convenient. The small fries that came with it were Waffle cut seasoned fries, actually not sure if there was an up charge for that, but they were damn good. Also, glad I listened to the kid behind the counter on the Nacho Cheese, it was a nice compliment; after all, cheese makes everything better. I got back to the office and had lunch, I was a little bit disappointed in the amount of beef in the sandwich; after all, it was a Super Beef. I personally prefer the Roast Beast to be a little bit more on the rare side than the somewhat cooked throughout. The combination of the BBQ sauce and horseradish was pretty flavorful, and was a good sandwich. Some reviewers that grew up on Kelly’s said this place runs circles around it, and I might agree growing up on Harrison’s in N. Andover, and myself not being impressed with Kelly’s. Harrison’s is still by far the place to beat for this type of Roast Beast sangwich.
