Absolute Trash. We waited 45 minutes, finally went inside, and they lost our order. We reordered, got back in the car, waited some more, and then they buzzed us, and told us they lost our order AGAIN, and asked if we wanted to order again, with free drinks. Furious and starving, we just left. C’mon, it’s not that hard.

Stopped by for ice cream with the kids. I was worried it was going to be slow based on the other reviews but it ended up being really quick. The carhop was really friendly and ice cream blasts were pretty good.

Agree with other reviews. Service is horrible. We don’t venture there often but the times we have, have been nothing but HORRIBLE. Our last experience was more horrible than previous ones. We pulled into a spot and waited and waited. No answer. We then went to drive thru. No answer. After some more time, my husband went inside. No one at the front area after he waited a few mins. We left. Doesn’t even deserve one star to be honest. Food could be out of this world but good customer service is what keeps people coming back!

This place is great for shakes but if you order a meal using the drive thru, forget it. They could screw up 2 car funeral. Twice I went there and ordered a #11 and asked for just Onion Rings with the chicken, 1st time they just gave me the regular meal without any changes but I let it go; but this time I got cold French Fries and of course NO onion rings. I won’t bother trying a 3rd time.

Posted Opening at 8am. Rolled in at 10:20 am, and NOONE is working. Ghost town. Two cars parked in the drive in stalls with no one in them. Seems like they need a corporate manager to come in and straighten this place out.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but tonight was the absolute last straw. All of the previous complaints have happened to me. Closed early, no one up front, can’t read the menu, can’t hear/understand the person, etc. I live 20 min away so when I have a craving for a banana shake I will trek all the way to Wilmington. No more. I’ll make them myself.(I’m also in the middle of extensive dental work so it’s nice to have a different flavor shake other than the usual 3. I’m not completely nuts to drive so far for a shake. Chewing is painful & difficult.) Tonite I should’ve known it was too good to be true when we didn’t have to wait 30+ min in the drive-thru. For the second time they were out of bananas. I said I’ll go get some. They insisted that it wasn’t possible since all grocery stores are closed. I told them Cumbie’s across the street is open and sells bananas I’d be right back. I bought my bananas and was told that they still couldn’t make it. I’m done. NEVER going back to this Sonic again. If it weren’t for the fact that there is nothing like it around I’m sure they would be out of business by now. Mind you I have done their online survey. They were polite and sent a coupon, but that doesn’t change the poor service and inability to take better inventory. You’d think with«happy hour» they would have extra stock of drink ingredients.

I wish there was negative stars. Who owns this place doesn’t anyone care about this place. We went ttp the drive hrough theis evening and we couldn’t hear the person on the other end of the mic… couldn’t read the menu board through all the stickers. We went inside and nobody came out. I looked in the window and people were sitting around eating and drinking… Cooperate needs to look into the location.

This place is HORRIBLE. If you have about 4 hours to spare of your time then come here because they are SLOW. They forgot my order 2 times and by the time I got my food it was cold and disgusting, and they still made us pay for it! Never again will I go here

Apparently they close 30 minutes before the time posted. Pretty annoying/lazy. Change your hours so people don’t drive all the way there only to find you are closed early.

The good: The mozzarella sticks here are really good, as in restaurant quality good. The Ocean Water drink isn’t bad when it isn’t watered down and full of ice. That’s where the good ends. I’ve given this place a few tries because I really wanted to like it, given the broad menu full of delicious sounding choices. I’ve tried a few items, and the food makes McDonalds look like a gourmet restaurant in comparison. Hot dogs(Cheesy Bacon Dog): Mushy, messy bread, unmelted cheese, an obnoxiously salty and wire-thin hotdog, with chewy undercooked bacon on top. Asiago Grilled Chicken sandwich: HORRIBLE. Mushy warmed over bun, inedible rubbery chicken. Flavorless cheese. Could not even finish this one. Philly Cheesesteak: Chewy, flavorless steak. Overall unpleasant to eat. In addition to the above, the fries here reek and taste of overused oil, even if they’re freshly fried the taste overpowers them completely. Tonight’s visit will be my last. Maybe the fact that no one is ever here and everything is laying around is why the food is so gross, or maybe it’s the other way around? Oh, and for this location, expect to wait no less than 10 minutes to get someone to answer the drive-thru(forget the order to your car), watch them fumble your order for 5 minutes(seriously, what kind of point-of-sale system are they using?), take 5 more minutes to answer you at the window, and then about another 10 to get your food. Yes, the service really is that slow, every time I’ve been here, read the other reviews.

When a person orders a sandwich with NOVEGGIES… that includes pickles and onions. NOT just lettuce and tomato. I threw my burger away because when I bit into it, I got a big mouthful of chunked onions… the pickles were ok… compared to the onions. Waste of my time and money. Thanks Sonic, for paying attention to customer needs. Way to go on training. I shall also add that it took a good few minutes before I even got to order. There was ONE car in front of me and MAYBE8 cars in the pull-in spots(noticing half of them were empty… hmmmmmm) and one car behind me. As I had pulled up to WAIT to pay behind the first car still sitting there, the guy behind me was smart… he left and went NEXTDOOR to the McDonalds. Yup… getting back on the road, he got out of their parking lot before me. Not sure if corporate watches these reviews, but as a former fast casual restaurant manager… this place either needs to restaffed, retrained… or just shut down completely. Good luck. I won’t be coming back.

It’s not uncommon to wait half hour at the microphone before somebody asks what you want to order. Don’t expect a please hold on or a thank you. The food is always screwed up. None of the employees have a smile on their face. Everyone looks misrepble like they just don’t care and about to walk out the door. Something is seriously wrong, don’t waste your money or your time! The owners and management just don’t care either.

Went there last night there was almost nobody there I think a total of 20 customers in the drive through and park and on the inside total 20 people the wait was horrendous we didn’t even stay to get our food this place is a joke why do I ever even think about coming back. To top it off one of the employees came over the speaker and told one of the people next to us that they were going to have to wait a really long time for their food what a joke.

For some reason we always go back. The food always makes me feel horrible, usually pretty gross or barely warm, and always takes forever to get our food. Have never been thrilled by any Sonic and definitely not at this location. I guess I have hope because of the awesome concept… Poorly managed.

Pathetic customer service and tepid corporate follow-up, not to mention generally lousy fast food make this a place you should avoid. My mother had fond memories of Sonic from her time in Florida so I decided to take her for a treat. Big mistake. She ordered a number 11 which purported to come with multiple pieces of chicken nuggets, 3 dipping sauces, Texas toast, tater tots and onion rings. I ordered their new chicken sandwich that came with pickles and an order of tater tots. They gave me the wrong sandwich but at least it was almost right. My mother’s order consisted of a pile of tater tots, 1 piece of chicken and what looked like wheat bread heated in a microwave. No onion rings. No dipping sauces. We called the waitress back to see what happened and she informed us that they were out of onion rings and dipping sauces. Um, okay? One might think you’d tell the customer that when they ordered the meal and not hoped they didn’t notice? So, my mother then asked to exchange her untouched meal for another one. The waitress had to ask her manager. Her manager said no. My mother said she was dissatisfied and wanted her money back. The waitress returned and said no again and that the manager said to email corporate. Nice. Other issues with this lovely meal included no silverware(and my mother ordered an Oreo shake that you clearly needed a spoon for), no napkins and as I mentioned, the wrong item in mine. I emailed corporate and all I received was a template email that they would look into it. That to me says yeah, too bad we don’t care. Now, I’d never go here for myself but they’ve definitely lost customer who actually enjoyed the crap they pretend is food after this experience.

Just wondering why I roll up 25 minutes(not 5 or 3) before close and they’re completely closed. Not a employee or car in sight. No wonder everything in Wilmington is closing, they don’t stay open during there displayed hours in order to have paying customers.

Spent 55 minutes in the drive through tonight. I was third in line when I started. Spent 45 minutes as first in line. Ten drive-in customers got orders taken in the time I was there. Six people came and left behind me in the drive through. This place always has issues with order accuracy — if you are picky I would advise against this location, or at the very least check twice before leaving. As others have said — sonic in the south is phenomenal. In the north it’s been a very disappointing experience. When it works it’s great. When it’s driven into the ground by owners/management not giving a shit… then you get this.

I just had the worst Chili dog in my life here. A microwaved flavorless mess. The French fries weren’t even good. Oh yeah, and this is not fast food. It is slow food. Pathetic.
