Sonic Drive-In

What a ripoff… ordered our food, and the burgers were so squished they wouldn’t even stay together. The hot dog was so salty, it was inetable. And to top it all off, we asked for refill on our drinks and was told we would have to buy new ones. Well, they are really slick, the drink cups were filled to the lid with pebble ice, which only allowed for about three swallows of drink. If we had of known about the no refills, we would have ask for no ice. Asked for a manager & he or she never ce out… This place sucks, period.

I stopped by Sonic this evening excited to order a cheeseburger after a long day at a work meeting. I received my food and went home to eat. When I got to the middle of my cheeseburger there was a HUGE black suspicious looking hair sticking out. Needless to say I felt nauseous and threw out the rest of my meal. I will never go to this Sonic again and have many friends who go to Sonic at least two time a week and I am sure after this horror story they will not be attending. You are better off going to McDonald’s across the street. I am appalled.

To me this is one of the best and most consistent Sonics I have ever been to! I hate that anyone had bad experience here because I go multiple times a week and it is never bad! Go with the spicy strips they are awesome.

this place is absolutely horrible! my friend and i were running late for a movie do decided to stop here close by. we had two orders so we hit the button and out in the first order. once the first order was paid and processed and cleared the screen we hit the button and explained we had a second order. she took the second order and it was paid for. about 10 minutes later the second order comes out. we just asked where the first one was and she just said well you cant have two orders and pay separately. we explained again what we did and she said whatever in not running for the person that took the first order then. we wait about 10 more minutes and hit the button again asking where the first order was. they then again told us we cant have two separate orders. we explained AGAIN what we did and they kept telling us we didnt have two orders. they finaly asked what the first order was and said your car hop will be out in a minute. she comes out and demands to see the credit card again. we explained again it was already paid. so said ok we will see right now. she pulled up both orders and of course they are both paid. she says i don’t know how but you are both paid. we were like we know, we paid separately. she was like whatever i wasn’t the one you were talking to. she walks away without giving us any napkins, straws, forks, or anything. RUDE!

Worst Sonic I’ve ever been too. I’ve tried going about 3 or 4 times since living in town the last two years and every time, literally every time, they get my order wrong. When I say I want no mayo, I get no pickles! My server once dropped my food and we waited almost an hour for it to be remade and delivered. Apparently they literally forgot about us. Don’t bother going. Anywhere else is better.

Been to this @SonicDriveIn while waiting for the movies. Last time I went they screwed up the order. The burger that I ordered was missing toppings, and they had to remake it. Then they had to remake my shake as there was a big hole in the cup and it was leaking out all on my car seat. The people at Sonic didn’t act like it was all a big deal.

I’m sad everyone had such bad experiences here!!!
Well, to be fair I was there at 8am and I was the only one in the parking lot.
I wanted lunch for breakfast and the guy on the speaker was so nice and explained that the full menu was served all day, which I was so pumped about because I wanted mozzarella sticks for breakfast.
Since I got a sandwich and mozzarella sticks and a drink he put it in a combo for me so I saved money and when he came out he was really friendly.
The food was awesome, really hit the spot!
I’ll be going again as soon as i’m craving chicken sandwiches at 8 in the morning again!

I definitely wish this Sonic was better, it is the closest to me! I love Sonic’s food, they have good prices, very convenient, and could be a better experience if the service was better at this location. Don’t get me wrong, I have had a couple of good experiences but the bad ones definitely out way the good.

I’ve never had a bad expierence. I would say the food and service are above average for quick service. The car hops always check-​in with the customers when I visit for lunch.

After seeing the most recent review I decided to give my two cents.
Before I moved to Wilmington I loved Sonic. I would drive over an hour to the nearest one. I went a couple of times after moving here and the service was ok. Not great, but not the worst. Then one day I went after work. I placed my order and waited. And waited. After 30 minutes I pressed the button and they assured me my food was on its way. Another 30 minutes passed. I finally just left without my food. I’ve only gone back once or twice since and that happened last year.

Ordering just drinksand takes 15 minutes for service. too slow

The last time we went there I had ordered two drinks on a day they weren’t busy. After about 30 minutes they still didn’t have them so we just left. I will note this wasn’t the first time that happened. We used to like Sonic drive-​ins so much before we found this place. Don’t even waste your time going here!

What is it with people loving Sonic? Is it the drive-​in quality? Is it the long Coney Dogs, laden with generic chili and cheese? Is it the array of fluorescent-​hued beverages?
Aside from the retro drive-​in aspect of this hamburger joint, I don’t see what the big deal is. Burgers were just ok, coney dog was large and chili-​laden but not that flavorful, and onion rings are flavorless and cornmeal-​y.
I tried it once, don’t think I’d ever try it again.
