This place is bomb, been coming here since high school… probably because it’s located right across from my old high school LOL. Yeah the restaurant itself is pretty out of date but the food is good just take it to go. Prices are good, definitely not overpriced Carne asada is bomb, tortas are so bomb, birria yum, but I love the chicken tortas and carne asada burritos. The aguas are also bomb too, They get down with that jamaica and horchata. Tacos are great they have pastor, chorizo, lengua, pollo, asada, carnitas… ect Their shrimp cocktails and campechanas are also very good. Service is friendly too. Definitely hit this spot up, they have a drive thru too.

I cant remember the last time I had a good meal from here. Meat has been tough and dry the last few times. I dont know if its over cooked or if its old meat.

Started of the year right. This is my second review for this place. They keep on impressing me every time. So let me start by describing my visit .As I was waiting for my food, the man Jorge gave me a sample of the costillas. How can I say this, I’m in love. These were some good costillas I have ever tasted. I’m like actually salivating right now just by typing this message. The meat is so tendered and juicy. The meat just felt off the bone. It also had cactus which is a plus. If you love costillas look no further trust me you’ll fall in love like I did.

This was one of my favorite spots when I lived out here. Now that I am in Texas, I am relegated to subpart Mexican food. We ordered some soles, tacos, birria and mole poblano. We basically went crazy because I know when I get back, I won’t find this. Come to think of it, why can’t I do something like this out there? That’s it! I’m opening up a proper Mexican joint out there in McKinney!

This place is good but dirty. They should clean up and close the doors because there are too many flies inside. But food was good. Just need to be a little cleaner.

Let me start by saying the Lengua tacos are bomb. The homemade tortillas made the tacos standout. I wasn’t even that hungry had a taste and I ended up eating 4. On top of the great taste, the price was reasonable. If this place wasn’t so far from me I would go more often. I would Most definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Taco loco has really gone loco! Years ago it was a 5 star but man! What happened to the food quality and why is this place always so dirty?.. Tables and floor! The meat has not been fresh last 2 times I’ve gone and relatives of mine living around there have told me the same thing. they mentioned its under new management… oh boy!.. I no longer crave their food nor does my family. :(

Love them. They have been a big help for my company events. They have been there to feed all of my work shift at 7:30am, 1:00pm, 6:00pm and 11:45pm. Plus the food is great along with the price. Thanks again Darlene V.(Kroger H.R. Dept.) 2014

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the food is good! I love their seafood menu, everything is fresh… But there dining area was filthy! Almost every table was disgustingly dirty, food everywhere, trash all over the floor & it smelled like urine. It was obviously unsanitary to eat anything there, I almost couldn’t eat my food. I also ordered a juice & it was full of pulp & room temp. If they use veggies for juices they should be cold so the juice is cold. I want to come back to this place but not until they clean up their act a little bit. Also the cook or whoever it was had a starring problem, I mean he’s there to cook not stare down the female customers. So bad for business. It’s tragic because the food is good… Just really extremely disgusting place to eat. I would be afraid of salmonella poisoning.

Love the food but the things that bothers me the most is there freaking drive thru service it sucks!!! always mess up the the orders it’s like you have open up your food in front of them to see if it’s complete! That I will definitely give them one star or nothing!!!

El Taco Loco has a great menu selection from Tacos, Burritos, Tortas, Sopes, Mariscos, Plates and Specials… also a real nice selection of Meats for the Tacos & Burritos. The place has plenty of seating, seems like it’s a popular spot/get’s busy and need to pay better attention on keeping the eating area clean, it wasn’t horrible but someone was slacking. Tacos($ 1.39)
*Hand made thick Yellow corn tortillas are being made as you order, they were very good I’d like them a bit more if they were slightly thinner, but better than anything out of a bag! *some of the photos are not the greatest, they pack on the onions, cilantro & salsa. Carne Asada — Lean tender and great flavor, salsa was nice also! 4-Stars Al Pastor — I didn’t see a trompo here, but the meat is nicely cooked and very flavorful. 4-Stars Birria de Res — That’s Beef for you gabachos, WOW lean and FULL of flavor! I gotta come back for a bowl of this stuff! 4.5-Stars Carnitas — It was good, above average but after the flavors of the others this was a bit disappointing to me. 3.5-Stars

One of my favorite if not my favorite Mexican food restaurants in Southern California! A wide selection of meats for their taco and burrito items(they even have cesos and tripas). They give big portions in dinner plates. Camarones al mojo de ajo is a must try. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Could it be cleaner? I guess, but overall it’s a good place to grab a good bite of authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.

I was at a local historical museum and felt hungry after our tour… I went to Unilocal and found this Taqueria… I’m from Los Angeles and tacos are MY thing… love them! After reading mixed reviews, I decided to dive right in… So this is just the kinda place if you want authentic(identical to what they actually serve in Mexico)…There are a gazillion different choices and they colorfully have a regular menu and a larger picture menu on the opposite window. We choose the El Loco special which was 3 tacos and a small drink for $ 4.50…What a Deal! We ordered both chicken and al pastor specials and a shrimp cocktail. my little one was happy to pick a cold coca cola(in a bottle) from an iced tub on the counter that also contained many Mexican favorites. The tacos were delicious! served up on handmade(a little lady in a Mexican pheasant shirt was cranking out fresh tortilla on a separate grill behind the counter) tortillas, had additionally hot sauce, white onion and cilantro… a squeeze of fresh lime adds the perfect little zing. The shrimp cocktail was serve in a large glass compote and was filled to the brim with medium sized shrimp, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and chili swimming in a tomato juice that was both sweet and savory… Okay and here’s the downside with an upside on the back end. The place is fairly dumpy and not the cleanest place in town. It reminded me of many restaurants in Mexico and so I was not shocked at it’s appearance. They is plenty of seating and there were many tables filled with large groups of family… whom were happily eating and laughing and talking. There are three old video games and a game of chance machine where you can win Mexican themed prizes. The Mexican music playing added to the ambiance of a truly Mexican Taqueria and this girl realized she’s been away too long…

3 words: Home-made tortillas. It really makes a difference. Their carne asada and lengua tacos hitt the spot. I am also partial to the carne asada sopes, The thick tortilla is loaded with meat, lettuce, tomato and cheese, it doesn’t quite fill you up so another taco or two on the side make it a winning combination. The drive-thru is SLOW… if there are no other cars in line you should be okay, but if there are be ready to wait 5 – 10 minutes. Cash only.
