Me and my stopped in late on Friday night, service was very good and the fillets we ate were very good. The waitress Lauren was very attentive.

Eight of us came here to celebrate a birthday. We arrived in time for Happy Hour prices at the bar, which were awesome: $ 2, $ 3 and $ 4 beer prices. Our table was ready when we were. Our waiter, Justin, was awesome, making sure we were all comfortable, informed and, when our adult beverages were running low, making sure we were offered a refill. For appetizers we ordered the Carpaccio Plate, Cheese Plate and Tuna Tartar. All were excellent. Unfortunately the entrée portion of the evening went a but downhill. Those who ordered steaks raved about them. And the tuna got good marks. However, the salmon was«ok, kind of like I cook for myself at home with a frozen salmon filet, I wish I had ordered the Bison Strip Steak», the pork chop was a disappointing ¾″ thick and over cooked to well done. The lobster tails were«alright but I have had better» and the crab cake was bland, over seared on the bottom and barely cooked on the top. All in all, it was an ok night out but quite honestly I am not sure I will rush back. The Bar was fun. Steaks were good. Appetizers were good. Skip the seafood.

Came for an event in their back room on a Thursday night – LOVED it! The place was packed with a dinner from the Opera House which was nice to see – a welcomed resurgence of the arts and fine dining in Wilmington. Beautiful large wooden doors sectioned off the private dining room and it was complete with comfy modern seating and four large flat screens. Very modern chic ambiance. Now, the food, let me tell you about the food. FANTASTIC. Granted, my stomach hurts because I couldn’t stop shoveling lobster mac and cheese(they had a station with a smörgåsbord of options including braised short rib, bacon, spinach, delicious creamy cheesy sauce and so much more – the chef was very generous with his toppings and servings) into my mouth, and I didn’t stop with just one or two bites of colossal shrimp, raw oysters, and ahi tuna salad at their seafood bar, and then I went a little crazy with their small bites of carpaccio toasts, dumplings, and other tasty appetizers. Even as I type this I think, do I really want to share how big of a fatty I am with the Unilocal world? Yes, yes, I do because Tonic is the perfect place for a date, out with friends, or just if you’re craving some good eats – and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Went on Friday evening with friends… we sat in the bar area. The bartender was awesome, saw that we were accommodated, made food recommendations, etc. I wouldn’t call it a sports bar because the food quality exceeds that kind of establishment. There was an annoying patron who felt they needed to yell very loudly every time their team made a goalie and he was the only person besides his companion seemed to be interested in the game. Other than that, I can’t wait to return.

Went to this place after watching it for many days. Food seems to be ok, the bartender was nice. The salad that came with the sandwich was not done right but chicken sandwich was good. Other items on menu seems to be bit pricey for the type of restaurant.

During my first visit, I ate at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and the bar crowd was a friendly mix of regulars and out-of-towners. The 5-spice tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes and stir-fry vegetables entrée was outstanding. I returned 8 days later(a week was too long to live without the tuna entrée in my life) ate in the dining room during the second visit. The service was quick and very friendly. Both of my experiences were stellar.

Just had a horrible experience at Tonic the new Deep Blue. Had a reservation at 8:15 which they called twice to confirm and I answered both times. Checked in at 8:10. They said they were backed up, and I let them know we would go to the bar. We checked in two more times they kept saying a few more minutes. We watched tons of people get sat and finally at 9pm we left!

Had dinner there with my wife and mother in-law. The meal and service was excellent and the ambience was second to none. If you want to chill and watch a sporting event the bar area is great and if you want to dine in a quieter environment Tonic has it all.

The service was really good. You can’t beat ½ price burger night. The Texas burger was a solid choice. The service out-shined the food, but I have to give a shout-out to the fried mozzarella. I will def return.

It is great to find a new spot to both enjoy great food and drinks in Downtown Wilmington. My Wife and I enjoyed drinks at the Bar while watching a the Army– Navy Football game which was fantastic. When the game ended we were seated in a newly decorated dining room where we enjoyed our meal. I had clam chowder soup and a gourmet Burger that was cooked to perfection. My Wife enjoyed a salad and Steak. It is great to see nightlife and fine eateries return to the Wilmington area once again.

Very unimpressed– the wait staff was not particularly friendly. The beer lines must have been mixed up because we kept getting the wrong draft beers without apology. I will not be going back any time soon.

Service is good. Pre meal complimentary bread is good, especially the wheat one. I had crab cake which is in expectation, cheese in the crab cake is okay. Prefer less cheesy more crab. Grilled asparagus is a Lillie bit over cooked. Nothing special.
