Sullen bartender. Drinks have zero alcohol in them. Standard boring bar menu. They are obviously attempting to capitalize on the fact that they are the only bar within miles. Less than mediocre. The crowd seemed good, they owe their clientele the respect of at least being standard vs. Barely substandard. Decidedly a two thumbs down. Call Jon Taffer. Nobody was ordering food v. Telling. I’m guessing the local clientele knows better

Sub par food at best. Staff didn’t seem to care about checking on us after the food was delivered. Lunch hour with only half capacity. Next time I’ll try the booze

Great local neighborhood bar with great food too! This place is not to be missed. Awesome new owner and lots of great changes so far. My favs are the Sloppy Joes and the Spicy Chicken wrap.

New England Patriots Meetup group got the upstairs area for the last game, it was pretty sweet, four dedicated TVs with sound. $ 4.25 pints and decent food, not sure if I would enjoy the downstairs area as much, lots of TVs but not much sound.

I heard mixed reviews about this restaurant but was excited to try it since I live nearby. The experience was terrible. My party and I attempted to sit outside around 7:00 on a weeknight and were immediately met by a group of extremely drunk men hanging out around the door to the outdoor seating. As we headed to sit down the men began raising their voices at each other and cussing loudly. They then began yelling louder and broke out into a fist fight on the staircase area in clear view of everyone eating upstairs and the staff. We headed inside to eat after the scuffle calmed down where the upstairs waiter gave a half apology and told us the people fighting were his friends(no one ever really came outside at any point to address what was going on). Only one of the men was told to leave while the others continued drinking and raising hell outside. The inside service from then on wasn’t that great, the waiter wasn’t very attentive, they were out of certain kinds of beers and the food was subpar. Later as we were leaving, friends of the drunk men were yelling up from the parking lot to calm them down and give them a ride, which one took while the other extremely drunk man drove himself home. The whole experience was trashy and disappointing. The staff did nothing to make the other patrons comfortable or remove the group that was causing trouble.

My girlfriend basically brought me here for a few beverages. They have two huge bars and lots of TVs for sport watching. The bartendars were on it! They were super cheerful and attentive. I did order the tots because, hello, tots are addicting and they called to me. LOL The locals were very friendly as well. There was a diverse groups of people so it was fun to people watch as well.

Family went there last Saturday. Burger was excellent. My son loved the chili cheese dog. Wife had the cheese steak and liked it. The wings were really good, as well as the fries, chips and fried pickles. Great ranch and blue cheese dressing which in my system is a key metric in rating a pub.

I have heard many of my friends rave about this place so I knew I had to try it. I went there with my Mum when she was in town. I got the Oink-A-Dilla. A pulled pork quesadilla with bacon, cheese and BBQ. It was sooo good and very filling. I could only eat half and took the other half home for later. It tasted just as good the next day when I reheated it. My mum raved about the special creek sauce that they have and the sweet potato tots with honey! I’ve been craving another Oink-a-dilla so I will be back soon!

Nice place. definitely has a locals feel to it and they make you feel like your at home when there. The food was excellent. We had a burger, a wrap and some wings. The wings were excellent, as was the burger. FYI, they have tots available which are great. The wrap was a normal wrap, nothing special, but good. With this quality of food, the prices were in check. A little bit more of a drive, but this defnitely beats the«traditional American» joints lining College Rd.

Here is is a summary of my dining experience on 8.5.14. This was an email that I sent to the restaurant that night following dinner. No response to date from this establishment. Hi. I had dinner at your restaurant tonight with my family. My parents ordered sandwiches and added a side salad for an additional 2.49, as your menu states. We then were told that adding a side salad meant that you didn’t get a side with your sandwich… you only get the salad. The choice of wording on your menu is poor if that is your intention. It should state substitute a side salad for an additional 2.49. When their side salad came to the table, it was shredded lettuce, carrot and celery sticks, tomatoes and sliced cucumber, with plastic silverware and all food was in paper baskets. I had a very negative impression of your restaurant upon my first visit, and last visit for that matter. We were up charged for sour cream with the tacos, honey with the sweet potatoes, Chipotle mayo with the burger. A burger advertised as 8.99 on the menu as coming with a side as indicated, was around 12 with no chips or fries once a salad was added. Your oil was dirty tasting for the fried food and needs changed to new oil. We eat out frequently and complete reviews online for many of the restaurants, good or bad experience. I believe reviews from customers help to promote business for restaurants in the area, as well as deter customers from a potential negative experience. All around, the presentation was poor. I hope you update your menus to indicate salads may be SUBSTITUTED for a side for an additional 2.49, please don’t give customers shredded lettuce for a side salad, get some real silverware to be able to cut the veggie sticks that you place in salads(I ate my carrot sticks and celery sticks with my fingers for my dinner chicken salad because I was unable to cut them with plastic silverware — classy), change your oil, and indicate that dipping sauces/mayo/honey/sour cream are an additional fee. I have attached a copy of your deceiving menu to display the wording for adding a side salad.

Great bar food and kids eat free before 7! Sweet potato tots, burgers, fried banana peppers and quesadillas are very good. Buffalo shrimp are good as well – grilled or fried but I don’t like wings that much – fairly heavily breaded. Good beer specials and a fairly mellow crowd. Hit them up

If you are not a regular here… good luck getting served! Bartenders not helpful or friendly! Not very busy at lunch and took 15 – 20 mins to get a beer after 2 bartenders walked by me several times(seated at bar). Ordered teriyaki wings, got«creek sauce» were not very good, but did not want to wait for more to be cooked. Lived in Wilmington since 2008, 2nd time here… both with similar experiences… I will not return.

Whiskey Creek is a great hidden gem in Wilmington. They have daily drink and food specials and several tvs to watch. This is a great local hang out where I have never had a bad meal. The service is very friendly and attentive. They have an upstairs area so if you come with the kids that is the area to go to keep away from the bar. If you get wings, try the Creek Sauce. It is very good!

It’s just a weird sports bar set up. I would go back, but not a place that I would highly reccomend.

Great food for late dining. Very clean and kept. Actually the food tasted like it was prepared by an actual chef rather than a line cook. Great little secret in Wilmington. Good service and friendly staff.

Meh… Food was bland and my sandwich roll was stale. I’ll give this place another try on a football Sunday and update my review if I have a better experience.

Whiskey Creek is a little gem hidden on Masonboro Loop Road. We found out about this place via Port City Foodies and decided to come in on Monday night for half-off wings. Oh. My. God. I could hear my taste bud sang when I took my first bite of those wings. The wings are fried to perfection, the flavors were spot-on for the sauce and perfectly coated on the wings. Slightly crunchy crust surrounds pillow-y sweet potato fillings – the sweet tater tots are also a must-try. Trust me, your taste bud will thank you. Staff is always really friendly. Highly recommend this place!
