We went during the summer months and sat on the porch. It was a lovely day in Olcott/Newfane and we needed some lunch after a rather lengthy, scenic walk. I had a burger with pasta salad and my boyfriend had the chicken fingers with fries. Our service was slow and the food was equivalent to a high school football game concession stand. It wasn’t BAD, just extraordinarily average. Add slow service to average quality food and you just don’t end up wanting to come back. What’s the point, ya know? The ranch dressing tasted funky but the pasta salad was yummy. I’m a sucker for pasta salad, though, which is why it’s still the only item on my mind from that place. We probably won’t be back again. Save your time and money, and grill out at home!

We had lunch here yesterday. They run on a limited staff during the day so we had to find the waitress at the bar to be seated. At the time, we were the only diners. Our waitress was okay, but our food took a long time, over a half hour for wings, potato skins and a quesadilla. My mother in law always enjoys their quesadillas. My husband really liked his wings. They were too dry for my taste, but had nothing on my overcooked potato skins, which were borderline inedible. I didn’t want to wait another half hour for food so I choked some down with ranch, and my husband finished the rest. If the wait is always so long, they should really offer bread. Also, my shoes kept sticking to the floor in the bar.

We have gone here several times, food is below average. Never had a great meal there. Service is also bad. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant. I did have my wedding shower there and that was good lots of room but the food was not great.

Decided to have this as our destination on our nice fall motorcycle ride from ontario, canada and we were not dissappointed… food was excellent and i love how the place looks old fashioned. .server was excellent and funny even though she was overwhelmed with the amount of people that were there at the same time as us but she kept very cool. food prices are so amazing you wont believe it can be great quality but it is. .we will go back here again for sure.

Had a super time, service is a little more casual than I expected but all in all it was a terrific experience. The bar area on a Thursday night seemed rather happy. Food: We had beef tornado and fettuccine alfredo with scallops. Both were prepared just as we’d asked and tasty. Wine: Small but local selection of wine(we got the Victorianbourgh which we love, don’t worry, they aren’t all sweet finger lake wines!) Bar: Nice space, happy crowd. Outside seating: Always a bonus! This place is «dated» so the carpets are worn and the floor squeaky. But I like that kind of thing.

We went for lunch during the week and sat on the porch, which was nice. The food was good, but it took forever to get and I’m not sure why, as we were the only ones there. My iced tea was never refilled and we barely saw our waitress. I’m beginning to think this is a general theme in this area. Also, the inside dining room smelled like it was really old. Next time I’ll go to Brownies.

OPENALLYEAR. — Charming and historic Wilson House Inn and Restaurant in the village. The cobblestone structure was built in 1844 for Luther Wilson, the town’s namesake. The Bar is a fun spot where locals gather. The food in the restaurant is good and its about the only place one can overnight in Wilson.
