I don’t know why two people gave this place only one star and such negative reviews. I found the owners to be very sweet and helpful. They even let me put a chain on layaway and pick it up at the end of the month. They design and make their own silver, everything from silverware to plates to jewelry. Being silversmiths I wonder if they do repairs as I have a silver medallion which has a chip in the black lacquer I would like to get fixed. Well worth the price, whatever you buy. You will get your money’s worth!

I also received terrible customer service and attitude from the gentleman(and I use that term loosely) at The Silver Queen in Wimberley. I was there on Friday, March 20th in the afternoon. There were no other customers. I asked to see a 30″ sterling chain, which I needed for a relatively inexpensive pendant. I live in Wimberley, so i like to support local merchants. The man in the store showed me one chain, the price of which was $ 60. When I asked if they had something less expensive, he took the chain back from me, hung it on the rack, returned to his seat behind the counter and said«Bye!» Had he respectively told me he did not carry anything for less in his store, I would have been fine and, perhaps, returned in the future to make a purchase. His condescending, dismissive and outride rude attitude has guaranteed that I will never set foot in his store again — and prompted me to write this review.

I’m quit confused by the poor reviews too. We’ve bought numerous unique pieces for my wife and were always treated well by the staff there. Everything we bought was good quality and they went out of their way to help us try on different items or look in their other store for something we’re interestring in.

This man is the worst! I’ve never been treated so badly. Poor customers service! Might I add extremely over priced… My husband, step daughter and I walked in to his shop today he was talking to some women, he seemed to be pleasant with them so it didn’t cross my mind that he would be so rude to us. They left, my daughter was deciding on a mood ring he never offered us help which didn’t bother me but then I asked if he had drusys he got up walked to the back without saying a word he waved his finger in the air(universal sign for no) with his back towards me he didn’t even look at me. The mood rings are 10 $ which wasn’t a big deal even though they’re 2 $ at other stores, our kid wanted it so we were picking one out, when he came back to the front and said he’s closing. Then walked over to us telling us come on vamonos amigos and was throwing us out. What kind of business does that? We were not even in there 5 mins. My husband asked if he wanted to sell the ring he said no. We were so shocked I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. Could it be because our ethnicity? WTH just happened? The whole vamonos amigos seemed a bit off to me being that we speak perfect English, he obviously does not speak Spanish. Needless to say we left without buying anything. My daughter was upset, worried it was her fault she didn’t pick a ring fast enough. At that point my husband and I were furious. I convinced her it was a cheap ring anyway. But can you believe the audacity of that man?!

Silver Queen is wonderful because some of the jewelry is made on site, some with quite original designs. If you don’t want the same earrings everyone else has, this is the place. I don’t know why the other reviewer had a problem with the customer service. I go to Wimberley every year, and each time I’ve gone in, they have been wonderful to me. There usually Is only one sales person, so you might have to wait a bit, but my experiences have been nothing but positive.

Customer service must be a foreign concept in this shop. My wife and I stopped by on Saturday, Sep 8, and the man behind the counter, feigning work and reading a magazine, looked up, then continued to read. We asked for the price of an item; he reluctantly wandered over to the showcase, and without looking at the item, snidely quoted a price of «oh, about $ 300′. He then immediately turned around and returned to his reading stool. If you looking for silver and customer service, skip this place.
