China Jade Restaurant

Really good food. My husband and I both like the food here. I’ve eaten here a handful of times and every time has been good. My only complaint was this last time the egg rolls weren’t great. My favs are beef and broccoli, Kung pao chicken, and my husband likes orange chicken.

I have a weak spot for China Jade. Some dishes are generic, buffet-​style fast food Chinese where the sauces are gooey and sometimes hard to differentiate. No point in mincing words about that. But it’s Chinese take-​out that I love to eat after a particularly hard day of work. The white rice is fantastic, the soups are incredibly rich (my favorite is the hot & sour), and nearly all of the appetizers strike me as more flavorful than the entrees. And the price is just right for what you’re getting.
Some of the reviews have me intrigued by claims of authenticity so I’ll start trying those dishes instead of vegetarian or chicken. Otherwise, if you tend toward dishes that are found in most Chinese restaurants it’s as I described.
I’ve eaten there or delivered about 10 times in the past 6 months. The staff is quiet, friendly, and reliable though sometimes service is slow after you receive your food. Be in the mood for relaxing and dinner conversation.

Hands down, the best Chinese food in Winchester. (Yes, better than chopsticks.) The steamed dumplings are heaven. The sesame chicken is flawless. The fried rice leaves a bit to be desired, but the rest of it makes up for that. I did not need a favorite
Chinese food place, but low and behold, China Jade can take all my money. So. Good.

The rug is filthy, the walls have holes and haven’t been painted in years, and the kitchen is dirty. The buffet dishes had about 2 servings of food in each one, and it was drying out. One of the older staff was walking around muttering about people not knowing anything. As we turned to leave, I saw someone in the kitchen actually spit into the basin they use for bussing the tables. YUK! Will never walk in there again.

We always enjoy our meals at China Jade. The food is excellent but the décor is not. Sadly, they do not deliver but it’s worth a drive. Vegetarian friendly!

I came here a few years ago and it wasn’t bad but when when my bf and I walked in this time there was a stale smell and the place didn’t seem clean at all. We split an appetizer and left. We didn’t want to be rude.

I enjoy China Jade. The food is consistently good and fresh. It has a quiet peaceful environment and the staff are friendly.

There are several China Jade restaurants in the area, and the menu even mentions them, so I believe they are all owned by the same people. I have been to a couple of them and the food is pretty consistent between each of the restaurants. They appear to have now started offering lower cost options to many of the items on the menu. Basically smaller portions at a lower cost. This is a great idea because often times the items on the menu are very filling. Over time I have tried several different items and nothing really stood out as outstanding, but nothing is really bad either. This past visit I had the Kung Pao chicken. It was good but it didn’t have any vegetables in it. Overall pretty good Chinese food for out in the countryside of Virginia.

This Chinese Restaurant serves some authentic Chinese food!!! Not just mall chinese like most restaurants. The Salt and Pepper Squid is as good as I have had anywhere.
The staff, ranging from an 8 year old to adults, are eclectic and charming. The décor is stuck in the 80’s. I have expect to see Don Johnson in the booth next to me when dining ther but the food is so worth it.

Horrible staff they are rude. I ordered lemon chicken he brought me a scallop dish and when I tried to tell them they actually told me I did not know what I was talking about.

We like China Jade. The food is consistantly good, the staff is hit or miss. The place could use a make over but overall a decent place to get take out or just sit and relax and have some decent food.

Certainly not the best Chinese food I’ve had in a restaurant, but certainly not bad. Just average. They have some Asian fusion dishes on the menu. I had the Malaysian Satay Style Beef which was marked as spicy, but really wasn’t spicy at all. The server was polite. When our meal was finished we had to wait to get our check. There are better options in Winchester, but China Jade is certainly convenient.
