I visited this establishment last week with local friends and the experience was amazing the wine was super the octopus sushi, spicy salmon and California rolls were delicious dessert, white rice with mango and coconut sauce was so good it was amazing. We had a great experience and I can’t wait to go back. Finding an outstanding sushi restaurant in this area is hard. Now that i found this place I will be visiting very often.

Best sushi place in town, hands down. I’ve never had something I didn’t like from here! And their new building/location makes the dining experience more comfortable and enjoyable!

My husband and I have eaten on numerous occasions a the old site; but, yesterday, we stopped by their new location – very cozy and comfortable. We met a new waitress, JoBetth who was as personable and efficient as all we have encounter at Chop Sticks Café. We had a GREAT meal, starting with their Chop Stick Platter(which we always order and enjoy), my husband loves, LOVES their basil stir fry. I like to try different dishes so this time I ordered the Bulgoi stir fry – very good. It wasn’t quite what I have experienced in Seoul, but definitely would order again. We brought some Vietnamese Phở home for dinner tonight… looking forward to it! Looking forward to our next visit.

Love this place. Joy always makes amazing accommodations for my nut allergies. My soft shell crab was fab and the creativity in the Asian influenced custard was creative genius. Most impressive! My friend’s crispy chicken was beautiful as was his coconut sorbet. And the starter– seaweed salad is the best. Glad I remembered the reservations this time. JoBetth is a wonderful waitress! Full of positive energy and enthusiasm for the menu. Glad we were again rewarded with her graceful assistance. Thank you Joy and Tom! See you on our next trip!

As Chop Stick diners know, they moved to an old building across the street from their former restaurant which they renovated and added on to. I told myself that I would not eat at the new establishment until they cleaned up the trash/junk that sits outside, and which is clearly visible inside, their old place. I mean, if you can’t clean up the trash… But friends invited us for an early(6 o’clock) dinner and so we went. Upon entering, two rooms are visible. The waitress wanted to sit up at the open end of the bar area where tenders and wait staff go back and forth and hover while waiting for drinks. I told her that the table was not satisfactory and requested the other room. She said it was reserved for those with reservations. After some back and forth, she said«I’ll try». She returned and escorted us to a table in the other room. At no time was their a mention of an upstairs dining area. The menu has changed and expanded. Chop Stick once offered mostly Thai food(even though Thais don’t eat with chopsticks) because the wife/owner/chef is from Thailand. There are still Thai items on the menu(although some of the lesser known are missing), but there are equally as many non-Thai items. I asked our waitress about a Thai dish that I had eaten at the former Chop Stick and she said that she had never heard of it. And by the way, if you call yourself«Chop Stick» shouldn’t you offer chop sticks to your customers? Our meals, consisting of garden rolls, seaweed salad, orange chicken, bulgogi, Thai beef and appetizer platter were all well prepared. About half way through our meal four 20 something guys were seated across from us. They were very loud. A manger came out once and asked them to hold the noise down. They didn’t. From then on, conversation was impossible. Upon departing, the manager on duty(not the owners) asked her how things were. We told him that the food was delicious, but the noise level was terrible. He told us that next time we should ask for a table upstairs. Why wasn’t that an option earlier? Their prices are high. $ 5 for a seaweed salad that is equal to one cup or less; $ 1 extra for brown rice vice white rice. Now really, is brown rice really that much more expensive? No. Bottom line, food is good, but is over priced. And if you want to talk with your dinner partners, ask to sit upstairs.

Highly disappointed with the solution process of this restaurant staff. When talking it through with a person over the phone, they said the dessert was homemade and in the same sentence stated they picked the dessert out of the box it came in. So I am done. They have decent food and the sushi is pretty good. But it doesn’t out way the horrible service I received tonight.

We’ve eaten at Chop Stick many times over the years. Love the new location. The food is very tasty. Good sushi. The burgers are some of the best in town, which I never would have expected. On the down side, the service is consistently poor. Although not in a rude way, just in a sort of blasé, slow, unorganized way. If the service were better I imagine we’d eat here more often, even so we still enjoy coming. Good atmosphere and fresh well prepared food. Good date night place. FYI: Their website says they deliver in Old Town. They don’t.

Chop Stick Café is the best Asian Fusion Restaurant in the Northern Virginia. All the food is fresh and flavorful. It is worth the drive to get there.

The food is good-to-very good and the new space is attractive but the service is atrocious. Last night we had play tickets at 8. Got to restaurant, were seated and placed our orders well before 7. Felt that we had plenty of time. Our waitress, who had been very friendly, then disappeared for over half an hour. She repeatedly stalled and told us that food was almost ready– food that wasn’t ready 20 minutes later when we left hungry. I see from other reviews that this is not an unusual experience and I don’t think we’ll be going back.

Great service. Great food. Had the Phở and the panang curry. Both were excellent. Now we are slamming some sake.

One of my go-to places in Winchester. The new location is much nicer than the old one, and it seems they may have stepped up the service a bit too. I always found the service to be very inconsistent, but it looks like they have hired more servers or have more servers on duty at the new location. The food is almost always delicious — although one time the pad thai was blah. Best sushi in Winchester, I think — although I haven’t tried CTE, which I’ve heard is good. Love the basil wraps, seaweed salad, green curry, curry puffs, in addition to the sushi. The key lime pie is mouthwatering and I believe that it’s homemade.

Much nicer restaurant compared to the old one. Still great food and service. Ashley is fun and has a great singing voice, which we got to hear some of while we were there.

Returning home from a long trip and stopped to see the new location and have dinner. Waited too long for water, which came without the requested lemon. Waited 30 minutes for our entrées. Asked the food runner for more water… and lemon… which she was not delighted to bring. Waited 10 minutes after requesting the check and were surprised to see that we were charged extra for brown rice. The server was cheerful, but inefficient. Watching her chat with the hostess and have a snack behind the bar was irritating. .especially after we drained our glasses a second time. The curry was good, but the overall experience highly disappointing. It’s not likely we’ll be regulars if this continues.

The food was really good and tasted fresh. Our food took longer than expected. Our service was slow, and inattentive. If management takes a look at Unilocal reviews, they certainly know where to make some changes. Décor was nice. Again, the food was really good and reasonably priced. I will return to try more dishes.
