Was in town for Memorial Day weekend and had Sunday breakfast here around 8:30 am. Was not overly busy when we arrived, but was getting crowded when we were leaving. Food was pretty fresh and the place was pretty clean. Overall, it’s just a standard buffet style place. If you have high expectations or expect a gourmet type buffet this is probably not the place for you. The cracker barrel across the street can cater to you better than this buffet. However, if you enjoy the buffet style breakfast for just $ 8, it is a pretty decent place to eat. They had an omelet station, plenty of breakfast meats, and a good variety of other breakfast items like waffles, pancakes, etc. Fresh cut fruit was available, cereal, as well as a chocolate fountain, desserts and even fried chicken?! Who doesn’t like fried chicken for breakfast?

For the price and selection it’s a winner. They have hundreds of choices, a large salad bar, wonderful meat and vegetables selection. The staff was great and they even sang happy birthday to him. This place has something for everyone. A true winner.

The only reason I go here is because my girlfriend’s 5 yo likes it. As for me, its just an average pig waller. And, an oxymoronic one at that. I hate seeing those table placards about«Camp Coral», and the Veterans association asking for donations, but they dont offer a military discount. Only on Veterans day do they give a free meal. But, they do give a senior citizens discount. I never really understood that. Like, congratulations! Heres a discount for getting old. But, a Veteran who served his country, gets ONE day. And, what about tipping? I just never know. I mean, you get ur food, and the server just refills drinks, and clears dishes. If they are paid minimum wage, why tip? And if so, how much? 10%? 15? Eh, like I said, I only go here when I make trips to Costco. Otherwise, I am not impressed.

This particular Golden Corral has been going downhill since I’ve moved back to the area. I think yesterday was my last visit there for breakfast or anything else. Had to wait for about 15 minutes for pancakes to be made. Shouldn’t that be one of the items kept stocked. The staff didn’t even look like they wanted to be there or were even in the country legally. If you want a decent breakfast in the area go to the Cracker Barrel.

The Queso was called«nectar of the Gods» by everyone at my table. I had them fill up an old ice cream bucket full of it and my buddy Mitchell snacked on it for days. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone except maybe like really racist ppl.

All that I’ve come to love about GCorral. Food was great, not quite as much selection as others we’ve been to but enough. Clean. Staff was not overly friendly but polite. Would definitely return. I do need to add one bit. I needed the restroom as we were leaving and the ladies room was horrible! Many doors broken, overflowing Trash and at about 4pm they were dirty. I’d still say go if you’re a fan — just use the toilet somewhere else.

4pm. Figured we’d go when the senior rush hits so the food would be stocked and fresh. The fried chicken was not stocked, eggs and bacon were on the buffet and everything except fruit and desserts looked like it had been sitting all morning. 2 stars are for our waitress and other employees. 0 stars for food.

We visited Golden Corral with our family for breakfast on a Sunday. We had a few dietary restrictions in the family and the manager Ruben was REALLY wonderful. He really cared about making sure our group feel welcome by being gracious and attentive. AWESOME experience.

It’s really not bad. I always thought it wasn’t so good, but I tried it again the other day, and I like all of the options. The roast beef is good(a little on the salty side, but just add mashed potatoes to it). There are rice krispie treats in the dessert bar! (Don’t do the coffee — it’s so watery).

I find this to be one of the better Golden Corrals I have been to. The food is always well stocked and they have good selections(often have ribs which other Golden Corrals many times do not have). Just watch out if a tourist bus pulls up ahead of you.

Like most buffet style places, the food was very hit and miss. Most of the food was fresh enough except things like the tacos. The meatloaf wasn’t so great. The pasta and pizza were fine. The fruits were bad. They had very good desserts. It was pretty clean inside including the bathrooms(Generally the worst part of most buffet style places). I wouldn’t say I felt the $ 15 worst of value.

I have never had a good feeling about this place; and about 2 weeks ago the husband and I decided to try it. He was really looking forward to the fried chicken, he’s a picky eater. We get there; and the it’s packed and all the kids are running around with out their parents, bumping into you, really tugging your nerves. My husband goes for the dried, chicken that looked like it had been sitting out for ages. How pitiful really, for a buffet and one of the main courses people go for is chicken, why not have it stocked and fresh? My husband was told it would be a 20 minute wait. But a buffet is suppose to have everything cooked fresh and ready to go meeting the expectations of their customers. Will not be back to this cluster mess they call a buffet restaurant. This place is disgusting. I know they have no control over kids running around, but the 12 year and under rule should really be enforced, because I can’t explain how many times little rugrats nearly ran into me. As parents you should seriously be watching your children; I almost kneed a little one straight in the face because a parent was too busy trying to stuff his face instead of watching his toddler. Needless to say, my husband asked for the manager and a refund, and we went to Costco and enjoyed a pizza, much better then this crap hole!

Its Golden Coral, a American institution! I’ve been here about 10 times total over the years. It never disappoints. Always stocked with pretty much the same stuff every day. Every so often there is a special dinner item. Salad bar is pretty basic, sub par to even grocery stores, but the hot foods are pretty good, good old fashioned American comfort food. Last 2 times I went by myself, no issues, just wish they had better steak sauce, next time I’ll bring my own.

My hubby and I venture there alone every now and then, but it’s a favorite of ours when we take our kids out. Okay so initially, when I first moved here from Cali… I avoided this place like the plague(I was so not a buffet girl) — but my first visit totally changed that for me; they have a great selection of a variety of foods. On any given visit you’re going to have a variety of breaded and grilled chicken(their fresh fried chicken TOPSKFC, easily in my book) and different oriental chicken dishes; several styles of beef(pot roast w/all the fixings, steak, make-your-own beef tacos, Salisbury steak, or broccoli & beef @ the oriental counter); an awesome fresh baked breads bar w/honey whipped or regular whipped butter; an amazing fresh salad bar w/EVERYTHING…cheeses, egg, sunflower seeds, shredded carrots, radish, cold corn, pepperoni, grilled chicken, croutons, raisins, pineapple, strawberries & whipped cream, peaches, mandarin oranges, cottage cheese… etc. etc. etc. They also always have a few different pizzas, soups, and stuff to make your own tacos(mentioned above) and then their dessert bar: soft serve ice cream(vanilla & chocolate or swirled) — several different candy and syrup toppings for that, different fresh baked cookies, cobbler, brownies, a chocolate fountain w/marshmallows, strawberries, coconut cookies, and pink heart-shaped cookies for dipping, carrot cake, chocolate cake, puddings, and on and on. You get the picture, right? FRESH… FRESH…VARIETY…CHOICES. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is nearly always friendly(no one is perfect right?), the restaurant is definitely kid friendly, and service is quick. OHHH — you’re offered a fresh baked or sweet baked potato when you’re seated at your table. Endless coffee and drinks… and the prices are AMAZING. The catch? Expect a line if you go late Sunday mornings — afternoon(sometimes the Sunday night dinner crew is pretty thick too)…or really anytime on a Saturday.

So, on a recent visit to see my parents, they took me to a farewell breakfast at Golden Corral. I can’t remember the last time I had ever been to this restaurant. Initially, I thought it was a LAME choice, but who am I to turn down a freebie from the rents. One trip to the buffet and all of my preconceived notions flew out the window. The food is good. Really good. Delicious, in fact. I don’t know if it’s a new thing or not, but everything is prepared fresh on site. While you are enjoying your food, staff is chopping, cutting, dicing and slicing your eats in all manner of methods right behind the buffet area, so you can see the food prep in action. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. Our server kept our coffee topped off. My omelet was light, fluffy and flavorful. I can’t wait to go back. Next time I’m in town, a visit to the Golden Corral is on my list of nonnegotiables.

We don’t care much for chains and comment on them only when we have a particularly good or bad experience. This one sucked. It’s not so much that the food was awful — it is possible to find semi-healthy food at this place although hardly anyone bothers — as the herding of customers at the door and keeping them(us) in line for nearly 30 minutes in spite of available tables. We were surrounded by perhaps 40 – 50 people, all of whom were complaining about the lack of organization at the door. the wait continued … and continued. No explanations, no apologies. Folks, waiting more than three seconds to get into a Golden Corral is a no-no. The place was dirty, tables only partially cleaned. We cleared out quickly and suggest you do the same.

To make this«worthwhile» you need to pick and choose. I see too many people filling their plates 4−5″ high, and frankly, it’s disgusting. Their meat selections are fair to poor. The steak is a bit tough, with fat and grissle. Their meatloaf is average. The baked fish is average. Popcorn shrimp is so small I think a small gumball size would describe it. Not a fan of clam strips, being a spoiled New-Englander who only likes the real deal, full bellied clams that can be had at Legal Seafood locations around the country. Lots of stems in the collard greens. The cabbage looked good(even tho I didn’t sample it). The sweet potato casserole is excellent. Salad bar is plentiful and maintained well. The dessert bar is a draw with the chocolate fountain for fresh strawberries, macaroons, etc. Their carrot cake is excellent. Wait staff is stretched thin. Leave a good tip because it’s not their fault that they are understaffed, AND people generally don’t tip generously at buffet restaurants. Don’t go to eat all you can eat. Eat one or two plates of carefully selected items and you will feel satisfied when you are done.
