Wish i could give negative stars. Long story short, rude, food sucked and just not worth the money. Gave me the squirts

Windsor Locks Diner is definitely not a place you go out of your way for. My boyfriend happens to live down the road so we’ll walk over there for breakfast on occasion but it’s not the most impressive place. Friendly service though and decent food. AND you’ll never have to wait for a table… which is a rarity these days. Overall, not bad but I wouldn’t make a point to get here.

Very friendly service, food comes out quick, easy in and out experience! Prices are typical. Great hours as well, open while other places may be closed.

This«restaurant» is a joke. My husband and I went for breakfast today. How can someone screw up breakfast? First we waited about 15 min before anyone bothered to take our order and its only because I was angry and told my husband its ridiculous that another table who came about 10 minutes after us were being taken care of before us. Had the girl cleaning off the table next to us not heard us we would have continued to wait. I had the farmers omelet with«homefries» and wheat toast. 1. Extremely bland food. Use a pepper shaker. 2. «Homefries» are rotten boiled potatoes. Had mold on one of mine, found it after eating most of my pepper and ketchup covered garbage. I needed something to flavor it to choke it down. 3. Rude wait staff. Never got any one particular waitress but neither were friendly. One put our bill on the table before we got half way through eating. We left around 11a.m. by 2 p.m. my guts were exploding. I grew up in the food industry. My father owned his own restaurant and never would have served garbage to his customers. I am a ServSafe Certified Manager of a restaurant and would fire my staff if they ever served rotten food. Save yourself the gut pain and spend your money anywhere else.

This Little out of the way place was wonderful… waitress was very friendly and helpful… Diner was amazingly clean… music and TV’s were at sound levels you could still talk to the people at your table and the food was exactly why you go to a diner… plentiful and delicious!

What do you do when you walk into a restaurant at dinner time and it is completely dead with the chef sitting at a table looking at you? You leave because the place sucks. If only I was smart enough to follow this advice. I was with a party of six. We sampled a vast array of the offerings. First up the stuffed olive leafs. Disgusting. The leaves were veiny, like celery. The contents unidentifiable. The potato salad served with was decent… as it was store bought. Salad had wilted lettuce and the blue cheese dressing was too sweet to enjoy. The egg salad made two of my friends sick. The cheeseburger club was bland saved only by the salt in the bacon. The worste by far was the fish and chips. Think big y brand frozen fish sticks deep fried. They tasted exactly like the French fries under them. For the price you can easily go to a nice restaurant and have a better safer meal.

Windsor Locks Diner has proved convenient a couple of times when my husband and I were just looking for a couple of sandwiches on a Saturday between errands. In true diner fashion, the menu is unreasonably large, and there is no «décor» to speak of. We’ve always been served quickly, though, and the prices are low. You won’t find anything here you couldn’t make just as well at home, but for those occasions when home isn’t an option and you’re looking for a quick meal, the Windsor Locks Diner will do.

Great service, extensive menu, clean restaurant, fresh ingredients. This place is a gem! My $ 7.95 special included a small bowl of chix rice soup, tuna/lettuce/tomato on rye, a generous serving of fries, and a small coleslaw. The chicken souvlaki was plentiful, tasty, and served with a terrific side of tatziki sauce and a hunk of fresh feta. Highly recommended.
