Good location, good service, good food. We have been here several times, wasn’t quite as good on our most recent visit… Had the shredded beef burrito. Prefer the shredded beef chimichanga I had ordered previously. Try lunchtime, lunch hours have a better price & honestly just as big of portions.

Excellent food with the fastest service I have ever seen. We have 4 little kids so this is our choice of restaurant to take them because we are in and out in no time at all. Get atmosphere!

Our friends suggested this place and I was a little sad cause the reviews weren’t the best. However, once we got here and ordered, I was pleasantly surprised! The food was much better than some of the other reviews led me to believe. I had the chicken fajitas. LOTS of food. Really nice seasoning and came to the table sizzling just like it should. My husband had one of the combo platters and that was also good. I tasted most of it. All great flavors. I also ordered a margarita. It came in a shaker with a tiny glass. It was actually quite a bit of drink, and I liked that I kept being able to give myself refills from the large shaker. Was a pretty decent margarita. I can’t really remember how much it was to comment on price. I do remember the server being friendly, but a little slow on the refills, etc. Yeah, its not a super classy place, but it was fun, and the food was good… isn’t that what a Mexican restaurant is all about?

Good food. Quick service if you go for lunch. Shredded beef chimichanga is my fav. Large portion and I usually order right when I sit down and it’s there in less than 5 min. Not the best Mexican I’ve had but worth it.

I am so disappointed with this place Do Not go. Wast of time and money. The entrees and drinks are extremely over priced. Not only is it expensive but the service is so SLOW. I tried to use a coupon and the waitstaff denied us. I asked for a manager and she was so rude and still denied us with no explanation. NOGOOD!

We stopped in Friday night right at 9. Mainly because most other places were closed. I wasn’t disappointed. I got the 2 burrito combo with one shredded beef and one pork. They were good. I only ate half of it so I had the rest for lunch the next day. The salsa was fresh though a little on the runny for my taste. The chips were great. We will return.

This is a solid lunch option in the Windsor area. Great warm chips and salsa are always served just after you order. Ask for their hot salsa for some extra kick. The lunch specials are varied a good amount, not too crazy like other places with their 40 different combos. So far I have had the expresso buritto and camarones ala crema. Both were huge even just the half portions are too much for one sitting. The buritto had guac on top at no extra charge? its really not extra. The burrito meat was tender and flavorful. The sauce on top was tasty. The shrimp with cream was super cheesy and yummy. Mushrooms, onions and rice are totally smothered in this awesome sauce. I opted for corn tortillas to build a few small soft tacos, because there are a good amount of shrimp to load it up with. The service was great each time I’ve been here. I’ll continue to come here for lunch anytime I need a good mexican fix.

The food is pretty standard — I have enjoyed most of my meals here. I did order tacos on a lunch trip once, and the shredded meat made the taco shell so soggy that I could not pick it up without it falling apart, so I had to eat it with my fork. The deluxe burrito smothered with cheese and green sauce is really the best thing ever, and I can never finish it all. The service has always been prompt(not always the friendliest EVER, but really not awful either). We will continue to come here on nights that I don’t feel like cooking, and for quick lunches. Yum!

I’m not a fan of the decorations. I know this is normal for Spanish restaurant, but I’m just not into it. Their food wasn’t disgusting but not exciting. Their bathroom was clean enough, but average in nature. Their saving grace was the flavorful fresh salsa. Maybe I’ll just get that next time? :) Personally, I wouldn’t choose to go back.

I was in Windsor for a class reunion and Guadalajara was one of the recommendations we got, so we thought we’d try it out! We met a friend there, but knew there could be more coming for the reunion, so we let the hostess know. When the other person came, they lead her to our table. As we were all settling in(and there was lots of chit chat because we hadn’t seen each other in 20 years,) we weren’t at all rushed by the friendly servers. They kept our drinks refilled as we looked over their expansive menu(anything you could ever really want.) When a few more friends arrived, they OFFERED to move us all to a bigger table to we could sit together. They went above and beyond to accommodate our spontaneous group! I ordered a small plate– the chimichanga with green chili sauce and everything about it was delicious! Everyone at our table raved about how wonderful the food, service, and prices were. They also went out of their way to split our checks up, which was so appreciated. We will definitely go back!

After a long day, my sister and I went to Guadalajara. She was staying at the Super 8, so it was a quick walk. While the staff was friendly, the only real plus was the location. We walked in and behind the hostess/cashier was a HUGE exterminator calendar(Complete with bug pictures… really?). Does that mean they are now Bug Free? But, we were exhausted and very hungry, so we decided to go forward with dinner. Service, again while pleasant was SLOW. Painfully so. Once we did get to order, the food when it finally arrived, was not hot, and the flavor was, well nonexistent. The food was totally without flavor and completely dried out. The place was deserted, yet we had to get up from the table to get our ticket. If you really want to eat Mexican while in Windsor, I would recommend Senior Jalapeño and their wonderful enchilada sauce, or if you have a car, trek out to Pueblo Viejo and hook up with their chicken mole.

I love this place!!! GREAT guacamole, above average food… But the best part is the service. The waitstaff always makes you feel welcome.

It’s basically a Tres Margaritas, but the food is much worse. The service the last time we went was horrible. Our waitress first couldn’t understand the difference between grilled and shredded chicken, then she refused to put grilled chicken in our burrito(we even offered to pay extra). Short story, their shredded chicken is terrible compared to Tres Margaritas(which I’ve loved for a long time).

My mother has ruined Mexican food for me, but this place gives me hope that it is possible to find edible and tasty Mexican food that wasn’t cooked in my moms kitchen :) The salsa isn’t bad, the flan is yummy & I believe the enchiladas suizas were decent!

Service is excellent and food is good. I’m from Arizona so that is what I compare good Mexican food to. This is not like arizona mexican food but it works until i can get home. We eat here once s month and have for years. Food and service have been consistently good.

If I could I wouldn’t event offer a star. The parking lot was very nice, you could fit your car in a spot. So that’s good… Coming into the place I felt welcomed and the staff was fairly nice. The margarita was a little on the weak side, but it was ok. I ordered the vegetarian burrito for dinner. It looked decent enough, besides the fact that it was supposed to come with sour cream and green chile, which the green chile turned out to be an orange color and there was no sour cream. But I don’t really like to complain about minor stuff, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. However, the food tasted so bad I couldn’t even finish about a third of it. It really was that gross. It sort of smelled like old socks or something. The most redeeming thing about the meal was the chips and salsa. They were pretty good until my boyfriend found a hairy little friend. He showed the waiter and the waiter took the hair into the kitchen, which was kind of weird, but whatever. Then he came back WITHTHEHAIR and his only reply was, «I don’t know how this could of happened, no one here has hair like this.» It is hilarious now, but at the time it was totally disgusting. Don’t waste your time or money. There’s a Taco Bell down the road.

When Guadalajra first opened its doors in Windsor, it was very good. I used to love going there. In recent months, it has gone downhill. The food is sub-par, at best. The last time I ate there, my food was so greasy that it nearly made me ill. The only good thing about the actual meal was the chips & salsa. It does have a few perks, though. The staff is nice & friendly, and it has a welcoming atmosphere. The margaritas are pretty good. However, because the quality of the food has gone downhill so much, I wont be frequenting this restaurant as much as I used too.

I have recently modified my 5 star review down to 2 stars… The bottom 2 paragraphs below still are true but the food is why you go to a restaurant, right? It sucks now, my sister went and she grew up on mexican food. She makes her own tortillas and she understands mexican food more than I do. I told her about 6 months ago that the only place I go to for Mexican in Windsor is Guadalajara(we moved and it was about a year since we’ve gone). She said that the food tasted more like Chinese food. I was shocked and just last month we went and it’s true, they kinda suck now… Bathrooms could use an update but they are still very clean. Parking can be difficult if it’s really busy as well. (Small warning to those with children and are skittish) Also, excuse my verbiage as I can’t find a better way to describe it. The wait staff has an authentic mexican demeanor and when they greet your table they will often greet toddlers/babies with a touch on the arm, the top of the head, etc. That is part of their culture though. It’s never offensive to me and they never over-do it. If you want to avoid it just have your child sit on the inside seat.

We walked in around 3:15 on a Friday afternoon. The place was pretty dead. Nice and quiet without being surrounded by families and loud people, it was a welcomed atmosphere. It all started out fine with waters, chips & salsa and menus being handed to us immediately. The waiter even hooked us up with the option to still order a lunch special, even though they stopped serving lunch at 3. It was all downhill from there… I ordered chicken tacos. I was served beef. I usually don’t eat red meat(health reasons) but didn’t want to complain. I ate one taco. So much grease dripped on to the plate that there was a pool of it that had started to infuse itself in to the rice, beans and the other taco. When the waiter finally came back to check on us, he was a jerk. He asked my boyfriend if he wanted more iced tea and didn’t even ask if I wanted water or how my dish was. I had also asked for more salsa when he brought our food which we still hadn’t gotten. As the waiter was walking away from trying to please my boyfriend, I quickly shouted that I needed more water as well and still needed salsa. Luckily, he came back with water and salsa… finally. My boyfriend offered to trade me the remaining half of his burrito for my remaining taco, rice and beans. I took him up on it. He ordered his burrito spicy(which at the Guadalajara by our house in Aurora, was not an option). It was spicy alright! Not super hot, but enough to make me thirsty. The pork was very dry. I drowned it in salsa and it was pretty tasty after that. Overall, this chain is pretty good. If you don’t know, it’s a complete copy-cat of 3 Margaritas. Same menu, same décor, everything. It even tastes exactly the same. However this location in particular, needs to do a serious upgrade on their waitstaff and give that waiter in particular some customer service lectures or SOMETHING!
