As I left Señor Jalapeños tonight, I thought to myself where the heck did I just eat and what did they do to my old friend(and my stomach chimed in screaming«WHY!!!»). I grew up eating here and even waited tables at Señors and all of my memories were shattered by my final meal there. The wait staff was nice, but barely had a presence and the service was slow — which I could excuse if there were more patrons there, but the place was dead — we arrived around 7PM on a Wednesday which is all you can eat of certain menu items — same special as when I worked there 11 years ago. The Salsa looks, tastes and feels different — I question whether it is Willie and Denise’s salsa or something out of a jar. When our food came out, I could immediately tell this would not be a classic Señor Jalapeños meal. The Green Chile looks and tastes different, and not a good different. In the past, I would eat the Green Chile like it was going out of style and would put on everything in site — would not say the same for what was served tonight. My husband got the Chicken Fajitas and it was clear by how quickly it came out and the fact that it came on a regular plate instead of a sizzling skillet, this was not cooked fresh, but rather reheated and seemed like Tyson Frozen Grilled chicken by how moist and mushy it was — yuck. For our little ones we ordered a Cheese Quesadilla from the appetizer menu and I am 100% sure that it was made in the microwave. No crispiness to the tortilla or any indication it even touched a grill, the cheese was not hot and gooey and the Quesadilla was not cut up and came with no garnish — some appetizer. The décor, chairs and tables are sad and overly weathered, my bench was almost entirely patched in duct tape. It is very clear that the love and passion is gone, which makes me very sad because of how much I had loved this place — it really was like family to me and I hate to write a negative review, but I feel like they should know. I am scared for what the future holds for Señor Jalapeños because from where I was sitting on my duct tape patched bench, it does not look good.

The green chile(hot) is exceptional! Service is average, but they always make you feel welcome. Come on in, relax, enjoy a cold beer, and have some good ol’ home cooking.

This place had good food about a year ago I’m not sure what happened but the food now is flavorless even if you ask for it extra hot I’ve been in 3 times in the last 6 months I don’t think I’ll be back.

Ok, I’m a huge fan of Mexican food and I’m sad to say Señor jalapeños is far from that. I will agree that the service was great and so was the atmosphere, but the food was struggling a lot. Let’s start with the first thing that came out the salsa… might remind you of ketchup and store bought salsa puréed together. Enough said. We special ordered coronarita… not quite sure what we got, but I do appreciate the effort. I wish she would of said NO they are not on the menu. Main Dish, well… we got what we could down. I couldn’t even finish half of it because it just didn’t taste right, fresh, or even made to order. The refried beans were from a can I believe, the rice was over buttered and more like sticky rice than a traditional long grain rice, and to top it just lettuce. There was no pico to be found just the canned salsa/ketchup paste. Price is of course right, but I won’t be wasting my time, money, or stomach on this food again at Señor Jalapeños.

Even the mild green chili was spicy, but I could handle it. I have to rave about the hot chocolate though, amazing. Seriously order it if you dare.

We eat here all the time and I truly had no idea they had full breakfasts on the weekend. Breakfast nachos? Heck ya!!! Chorizo skillets? Yes please! I always enjoy the friendly staff and casual ambience of this place. No frills with fantastic food, every time!

We have dined here quiet a bit. They have lots of options at very reasonable prices. They have an excellent breakfast, not just Mexican choices on weekends(maybe Fridays too?). The breakfast nachos are great as well as steak and eggs for under $ 8. The green chili is very good. Service is slow occasionally.

Went there last night to warm up from the cold and it did just the trick. Nothing fancy, but good food & great staff. A place you go to when you want to stay dressed comfy and just relax. We didn’t realize they made homemade sopaipilla’s and were too full to have some, so we’ll have to go back for sure!

came here for a friends bday party. I had the Carne adobada which was a very pleasant dish of pork with spices, beans and rice. The staff here is above and beyond friendly and I would definitely recommend this place to try out.

We’ve been going to Señor Jalapeño’s for a long time now. I love to go on Thursday nights for the .99¢ margaritas and my current favorite dish is their Taco Salad. The food is pretty good and their prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and the service is usually pretty fast.

I was rather bummed the first time I went in. I asked for HOT green chili, it was not even a little hot, and the food wasn’t great. I thought maybe they made a mistake and I got mild instead. So I gave them a second chance, my husband and I went in for breakfast. Same exact thing with HOT green chilli having no flavor or heat, and the food was HORRIBLE the second time. Service was poor. I will not be giving them a third chance

Nice little Mexican Restaurant in Windsor. Good food, good prices, fun interior. They have an all-you-can-eat night, drink specials, and a good selection of menu items. I give Señor Jalapeño’s a solid«Muy Bueno»
