Ok coffee. Nice little shop. Not too many options nearby, so it may be the best in the area.

Stopped in today for the first time after reading good reviews. The décor was homely imo, but wasn’t upsetting. The employees were nice and the service was pretty quick. However, I asked for a wet soy cap, but received a very dry one. I opted for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on cheddar bread, which was solid. Not so impressed, but I might come back to try a few flavors on the menu that caught my eye.

People here are super friendly and there are SO many coffee flavor options. I prefer sugar-free flavors and usually am limited to hazelnut and vanilla at most coffee shops. Here, there are a number of them! Keep me wanting to come back and try more. *Bonus points for being dog-friendly!

Just passing through Windsor center and remembered seeing establishment on Unilocal and had to try it. I felt kind of out of place as your ordinary blue collar man. I would definitely recommend visiting if u were trying to impress someone or for a short business meeting. I ordered dark roast coffee to go. It was your average dark roast.

I don’t know guys, I didn’t have the experience everyone is raving about. I was coming back from the airport and in desperate need of a place to rest and recharge with some coffee and breakfast treats, as well as get a little work done. Overall, great and friendly service. I got a caramel macchiato(which lets be honest you can’t go wrong with). However, my major cons come with the baked goods and atmosphere. I had a scone here that was barely sweet and a little stale. In addition, the tables and chairs look like someone picked them off the side of the road and not in a cute, thrifty way. When I figured out there was no wifi, I attempted to at least curl up with a book. Lets just say I barely made it through a chapter of my book before I left.

I love the fact that we have a local coffee place like this. I haven’t tried much more than their iced coffee, but it is delicious. The price is a little bit up there, but I’ll deal for some good coffee!

Could this place be ANY more fantastic? I think not. First, it’s so homey and welcoming. It’s got such a little jazzy, artsy, hole in the wall NYC feel to it. Plenty of seating inside. You know you’re coming into something wonderful with the soothing sounds of jazz and blues piping through the system outside. The staff couldn’t be friendlier. I am greeted with a huge smile each time I walk in. And after asking for a recommendation, my White Chocolate Iced Coffee(sugar free by the way) was amazing. Spot on, really. Toni has her crew together and she’s absolutely wonderful. Fresh pastries(around $ 2.50) await your arrival in the case, a plethora of goodies and bevvies to choose from. My most favorite edition to Windsor. And props for supporting the Windsor community and its schools which this business does! Visit, be inspired, cool off with a drink and a book. This is just the place for a little vacation 5 minutes from home.

Thanks to an Amazon Local deal, I was able to treat two people to breakfast for the cost of one. I met up with a friend for a coffee date. The young male barristo was super nice and I loved being surrounded by local art. The ambiance was so comfortable that we stayed there for three hours on a Saturday afternoon. I definitely prefer this place over the nearby Get Baked for coffee and a small bite to eat. Before coming, check Groupon for a local deal. :)

Came here today for the first time and loved it. The style and feel of the place is super cute and relaxing. The staff was also nice, friendly, and professional. I had a hot soy latte with a toasted bagel with butter. I will definitely be going back. The coffee was delicious!

I’m excited by this cozy, friendly coffee shop! The coffee is delicious with many options and I’m glad for the almond milk availability. This is our first(certainly not last) visit. My hubby liked his Southwest Bean Wrap, with lots of good flavors. My Breakfast Burrito on a gf wrap was very tasty and filling. Options with wraps are fruit, chips or a gf, vegan rice roll(think less sweet rice crispy bar). The staff is very friendly and the couple who own it are here. The husband, Steve Littman, is the dentist next door. He stopped by our table to welcome us and we had a great chat. We love the support for local artists! Paintings, pastels, batik, pottery and jewelry are all on display and for sale. I can’t wait to come back with friends!

Went for the first time on a Saturday morning to get bagels/pastries for my visiting family. I had heard that this place offered several gluten-free options, and as members of my family gluten-free, it seemed like a no-brainer. Arrived shortly after it opened, hoping to get fresh product. Interior was clean, staff was very friendly; I was greeted immediately. The display only showed a few items, so I wasn’t exactly sure what they had to offer. I asked about gluten-free bagels, and was told they did have them. I ordered two gf bagels and a half-dozen donuts. The cashier then walked toward the back and brought out wrapped boxes of donuts — prepackaged, the kind you’d see at BJs. He also bought out a bag of gf bagels, all of which were frozen solid. He placed the gf bagels in the microwave while he opened and arranged the donuts in boxes. After the bagels had«cooked» for two minutes, he then toasted and wrapped them. I drove home hoping that the flavors would surprise me, but my expectations were pretty low considering that I had likely just bought store-brand bagels and donuts. Unfortunately, everything was as I expected. The donuts(cinnamon, Boston crème, and frosted w/Halloween sprinkles) were cold. They had been in fridge too apparently. They were flavorless as well. My wife said the bagel was bland and dried out, and she threw away the better part of it. To be fair, I don’t know if they advertise their baked goods as fresh, so maybe I just should have done more homework. From other reviews, it seems like the coffee is great. If I do return, it will be for coffee, but certainly not for breakfast foods. As a Windsor resident, I support local businesses, so I hope that maybe, as they stay open for longer, this will improve so that I can revise this later with glowing remarks.

I bought the Groupon and had high hopes for 226 after reading the good reviews. Pros: Staff are friendly, great parking and love the concept. Love the almond milk option! Cons: The first time I went I got a medium iced white chocolate mocha and gluten free snickerdoodle cookie. The cookie was hard and crumbled and didn’t seem too fresh and the coffee was okay but I didn’t want to lose hope and thought I’d give it another try. The second time I went I tried an iced pumpkin spice latte and was slightly disappointed as I felt it was just okay but loved the option for almond milk. Again, didn’t hold that against them… so I recently went for lunch and ordered an Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and a butternut squash smoothie. I was disappointed after seeing the staff pull out one of the«Caesar Salads» in the cooler and simply add almonds and switched out the dressings. As she was about to put on the mandarin oranges I asked her not to since it was in a big vat of oranges that didn’t look super fresh. The sesame ginger dressing was mediocre at best and the chicken looked and tasted like canned or frozen chicken. The smoothie was simply fruit & veggie purée mixed with ice-nothing special. Friendly Suggestion: Would love to see 226 set themselves apart from a lot of other chains by offering fresh chicken and unique salads.

This is such a great local coffee shop! Everyone that works here is so welcoming and very knowledgable about the different pastries and food items they have(which is very important to people with food allergies. like myself) I’ve always gotten the large iced caramel latte and it has always been consistently delicious!

We’ve been to 226 twice now, and both times were grateful for its convenient location and adjacent parking lot, which make a quick pitstop easy. The coffee is– not surprisingly– far better than what you’ll find at most chains. And the outdoor seating in Windsor’s historic town center is great for those who frequently find themselves Googling names and events noted on National Register of Historic Places plaques… We’d like to check out some of their live music events, but because neither my husband nor I are jazz aficionados, we’re hesitant to spend between $ 15 and $ 25 each on tickets. 226, if you’re listening– what about $ 5 or $ 10 tickets once in a while for folks who’d like to check out a performance without spending too much cash?

Pretty sweet idea –an independent coffee house that seriously supports the arts. Nice mellow jazz plays in the background, oil paintings from local artists adorn the walls and are for sale, they have music nights, art shows, concerts –get the picture? Sandwiches, wraps, breakfast sandwiches, salads, bakery treats, coffees, espressos, teas, frozen drinks– you want it… they got it. I had a great simple coffee(12 oz for $ 1.65) and a tuna/spinach wrap($ 8.50 with chips or an apple). The wrap was fresh as can be, and I can forgive the smallish size because of it’s delicious freshness. It has about a dozen small tables, and some real nice folks working inside. A real nice alternative to Corporate Coffee.
