Not a bad place, the food was alright. The service was very low par though by both the waitress and the manager. The waitress was quick to great me but forgot to place my order 20 minutes in, charged me the wrong amount, and did not know how to run the register(which the manager didn’t want to do for her) so I waited an additional 20 minutes after that to just have them process my card. the waitress took the initiative and figured it out but i believe this should not have happened. The waitress was very apologetic and said she was new

We were a large group that all arrived at the same time. It was a breakfast stop during a long road trip. Being a Saturday morning, we thought it might take awhile to get a table. But we were sat right away. Teresa was our server. That gal sure knows her stuff. She was super efficient and very kind. Our coffee was always full and everything came out fast and exactly as ordered. Two thumbs up to this Denny’s. Great job.

If you are in a hurry, they are pretty slow. Nicest and best kept Denny’s I have ever seen. Easy off I 10, but the parking lot is kind of weird. Nice employees. The Skillet was visually a beautiful dish and everything was fresh tasting, great combo of flavors. It would be at least twice what I could eat, my husband even had trouble finishing it and didn’t complain when I stole food off his plate. I had the senior grilled chicken with broccoli and sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, which was delicious. The broccoli was okay, steamed. The chicken moist flavorful and perfectly cooked. This is undoubtedly the best supper food I have ever had at a Denny’s! My husband said the regular coffee wasn’t very hot. I got decaf, which I don’t usually do, it was only like warm, but pretty good for decaf. Excellent place to eat, if you aren’t in a hurry.

The food was as expected, however the service was awful. I ordered coffee I never got, the sugar & cream came, but no coffee. I got a diet coke after waiting probably 20 mins. When our food came out after another 30 mins I asked again for coffee & another diet coke. I finished my meal without either. I looked up & our server was cleaning a table(there were only 7 occupied tables including ours) I got up & went to get my own refill & she met me at the door where the machines were, handed me my diet coke that had already been poured & then asked me to carry my cousins drink to her as well. While we were waiting to check out the guy in front of me said he had to get his own condiments & had asked 3 times for them before he got up to get them. The same server that(hadn’t) waited on us, checked us out. She insisted the guy put a tip on his bill before she would ring him up. She pointed to it & told him put your tip here lol. We left her tip on the table, I didn’t really want to, but we did. Not a place I will ever return to. I hope that the people in Corporate go to Undercover Boss & get in there to see what is going on.

I’ve been to Denny’s all over … many times. This location set the record for the most miserable service ever! Three of us arrived and had to wait nearly 5 minutes to even be acknowledged, even though we made eye contact with three different employees. When we were instructed to sit wherever we pleased, there were at least 7 – 8 tables empty but only one that was(mostly) clean. After waiting more than 5 more minutes to have a server come by, we chose to order everything at once. Our drinks came out — eventually. Probably 6 minutes later. The food, on the other hand, took 30 minutes to arrive. In that nearly 25 minutes period, our server(or any server) never even approached our table … although every drink sat obviously empty. When the food was delivered, the server said she would return with drinks right away. All three of us were 90% done with our meals when we finally gave up and my cousin headed toward the server to ask for a drink. The server stepped back to the counter and handed her a diet coke that looked like it had been poured at least 10 minutes before. Then, she had the nerve to hand her my tea refill and ask her to deliver it to me. I’m pretty certain that’s not the customer’s job. My father asked a total of 4 times over a 30 minute period for a refill of coffee. Sad. When we arrived, the place seemed busy for a Thursday night and the number of employees working, so we made am effort to be patient. But, this took it to the extreme. When customers began to clear out, the servers slowed down even further and all the tables were left filthy. With 2 servers, what appeared to be a shift manager floating from register to tables to the kitchen, I was shocked that they weren’t able to offer even borderline service to the remaining 5 tables. We have no major complaints about the food. Everything was what you’d expect from Denny’s except the bacon, which was a pathetic, tiny crumble of nothing. There were no high expectations for an exceptional dining experience here. We just wanted a quick and simple breakfast for dinner with nice service. This was so far off from that. The terrible service came from the moment we walked in the door until the fiasco with the check, caused by the server not listening. To make it even worse, there was not a single smile or polite word in the place.

I’m really not sure why there are only negative reviews for this Denny’s location. I feel compelled to share that I have not had the same bad experiences as the previous reviewers(not saying they’re wrong, just saying it’s not ALWAYS like that). I’ve been here a handful of times since it opened. Each time the service & food has been consistent, just like it is with 90% of all the Denny’s locations nationwide. They serve the full Denny’s menu and we have always received our food in a timely manner. We appreciate the fact that they always get my Mom’s pancakes right. She prefers them to be cooked very light, and there are many chain breakfast restaurants that have a hard time meeting that simple request. Since it’s fairly new, the air is clean & it doesn’t have that old, musty cigarette smell(no smoking allowed) like some old Denny’s locations seem to have. The furniture and décor is consistent with a Denny’s that has been built in the past few years. Also, the bathroom was clean. It’s not a huge restaurant & it’s connected to a gas station. There are very few restaurant choices in Winnie, and I think it’s great that they have a Denny’s!

If there were an option for negative stars, this is how I would rate this place. Food was not only disgusting, it was served scorched then brought back raw! The place was also filthy and the service was horrible. Connie, our«lovely» unsociable, emotionally bankrupt waitress was rude! So, if you love eating in filth, love the company of rude waitresses, and don’t mind eating raw«scrambled» eggs, then this is your place! Don’t count me in! P. S. Make sure you bring your own toilet paper and wipe your silverware before you eat!
